Some one likes the results. 11% up today.
At least HYR is up today
not so sure, sis...better for sure, but still limited visibility imv gl
Excellent still. Business improving on all fronts. Napier returning to profit once again due to resourcing of sugar from own facility at Stallingborough. That is how they can carry on supplying sugar to asda and sainsburys blablafishcake. Gla
Renshaw is the only part of this entire business that is going well as I see it, what's happened at Garetts and Scott's, if as you suggest LBG that contracts with BS will end what will be supplied to Asda and Sainsburys as I am pretty sure they will both require British sugar to sell in their respective stores won't they?
Excellent news. Renshaw and Haydens both improving. Renewed contract with ASDA and a new contract with Sainsbury. Contract to end with British Sugars in a few weeks and new suppliers organised to replace them and to utilised Stallingborough. Things should start improving from here. GLA
lol I meant ABF
Seems they are struggling also with the sugar prices. Primark keeping them going though.
Looking through the numbers it appears they are trying to conserve cash by paying suppliers later. There's only so long they can do that.
In sight!
Awful results and no improvement in site as flagged in the statement. They make reference to cheaper sugar being available through the new facility, if that's the case why pursue a dispute instead of just walking away? Don't see anything here that makes for a compelling investment case.
I'd hardly describe those results as positive! However, the net borrowings at 31 March are not as high as I thought they would be and, so far, there's been no mention the fund raising I'd been expecting soon. It's difficult to say by how much the frequently mentioned sugar dispute has impacted because, as far as I can see, it's not been quantified. Why not do you suppose? Apparently, "The negative impact on cash generation arising from the British Sugar dispute was largely offset by improved working capital management." Anyone able to elaborate on this? Why didn't they do this previously? Also note how they want to re-establish the various divisions as separate entities. What do you make of this? Does this mean if one division gets into trouble it wouldn't bring down the group? It's still not a stock I'd be buying.
New years day here. Positive results. The obvious point is the sugar dispute which has impacted heavily. On a plus side though, RGD are doing well on the other parts of the company and more importantly are expanding into Europe. New contract with Morrisons also. I can not see much happening though with the SP until the dispute is resolved. GLA
Monday, 7am, RNS - more bod buys
gl on rm2...you may be set fair
infact, don't wait on that contract, big bod buy just gone through
Sorry I don't like. I try to make a habit of avoiding mining or oilies. tpl - still on a downward track on 2 year chart. The last rns was broker going below 10% - will they be selling more? bod buys are small and infrequent. pvr- same as tpl on 2 year chart though they there was a broker buy. would have to delve further into the last results to become interested but the decline over the last 2 years puts me off atm. No bod buys.
Cheers I'll check them out. Been very busy recently so not had the time to look for new shares. There are many cheap shares about though with many having potential to do well. But cash is king. Rur and rm2 I'm hoping on though rm2 may be better to wait for contract.
what shares are getting you interested/excited>...for me, tpl & pvr stand out as possible proverbial multibaggers
nope. Did I read some where results due on 29th july? Can't remember, it could be another company. I think the sugar dispute will be completed soon so i'd imagine they would like that done with before announcing the results.
any idea why results are so slow in being announced...I've bailed in the mid 30s at breakeven overall...but watching with half an eye
Does anyone still hold RGD? The ABF IMS today looked pretty bleak on sugar. I think RGD could have some serious difficulties if the BS dispute doesn't get resolved in their favour. If it goes the other way I suppose RGD will bounce. Surely an announcement soon?
According to bakeryinfo.co.uk the BS dispute should be resolved by early next month. I've no idea how reliable their info is but, if true, perhaps results (and fund raising?) will be timed to follow.
The price of sugar will be affecting Garrett. How long? no one knows, but I did speak to Jon Tanner (MD) the other week and though he could not give any info, he did say that its possible the situation regarding sugar price could be resolved in a matter of months or longer mind.
Does anyone know what the latest is and when it will all be resolved? LBG, why do you see the Garrett's results not being too good as I though the new management changes had started to bring instant results to a business that was not in bad shape when the restructured anyway?
