54 million quid buy order at 1815, out of hours trade. Looks like at least one institution is filling Santa's stockings!
Have a look at Tullow's Price to Book and Debt to Equity values. I also think they may have issues with rolling over their debt. Minnows like Tullow will end up out of the market, feeding the bigger fishes market share.
I read somewhere they should be paid on 16th December
Joined a modest 375 shares today to compound. 2 weeks too late but hope some legs in this still. Gla
Last dividend date was the 21st Sept, they are normally quarterly and a yield of around 14% of holding.
What do they pay and how often?
Think you may be right tullow oil looks like a good bet plenty of upside at these levels. Might put a buy order in first thing tomorrow
looking likely the cuts will be extended by OPEC etc.
It's time to look at mid tier oil companies like Tullow Oil who are bombed out but at these prices in profit.
Good to see an upward movement on the SP from a few weeks ago. Hopefully positive movement in the coming weeks back to £14. GLA
I still haven't received my dividends from the first payment this year Exdiv 13 Feb, payment 23 March. Do you know if this has happened elsewhere or am I missing something? ( apart from the divi )
Been through the Shell website looking for a contact email address to raise the query but cannot find anything. Any suggestions?

Some very large buys at market close, should be very interesting tommorow after a very laclustre day, I think the large institutions are very confident with the bottom new levels....
As a rookie I've made that same mistake here. SP underperforming, dividend cuts...what else
Pending how many shares you got may not be too much of an issue, but If its any comfort I did the same,I did read somewhere that it was going to be abolished to simplify things, Im probably miss informed but im not worried as the share price is slightly higher and gaining ground, all money is good...
Oh no I wish I'd known that myself. I am a complete idiot for not investigating this more before buying A shares
A lot of Buys already this morning and it looks like they will continue. Probably wont see these type of lows again for a long time!
A question which I wish I had asked threeputt before investing! A shares are subject to witholding tax on dividends in Holland while B shares are not. I think it us 15%.
What's the difference between RDSA & RDSB please in terms of dividend.
Thanks
by the scale of the dividend cut but agree with Midas in the MOS that with a yield of 4% and even higher if the selling continues, then RDSA is worth sticking with. Another Trump engineered spat with China and plummeting oil prices sure will depress the price but I see no reason why both won't unwind. Incidentally I hope Ben Van Beurden is taking a pay cut too. If not some one should have a word in his shell at the AGM!
It could but you would need to be glued to your laptop as it would be very brief, Investers just throwing there toys out of the pram as the company decided it was more important to save money for the short term, very soon, situation will be more clearer as the dust settles , this is a good company that is making the right decisions..
I think this is really cheap in regards to long term returns and even short term on that note! SP will start to start fly before you know it!
Low Oil Price, Dividend Cut, Friday fever!!!
In my opinion, This is all going to add up pressure and bring this below 1200p
WTI contract for May circa $-40.00. Buyer must be paid by the seller to collect oil. Miracles
And where are we ?? circa $10 a barrel ..........oh dear they can not pay divi at these levels....not a chance.
This is going to be a blood bath come Tuesday they will end up having to pay to get rid of the oil can see under $10 per barrel however long term can see huge increase as smaller producers go out of business or sell up long term can see $100 but thats maybe 5 years away...
Why is this share not rising like other oil producers/suppliers and oil prices in general in the buildup to opec+ meeting...
