Guess it depends on how much you are trading with...! I kept losing £450 to the Gov on the last few trades I've done which while I still made 4% on those trades, I probably would have saved circa 1.5k by just not trading them!
I bought in sub £1, just bought £10k at current price, I'm not quite sure £7 but certainly £5 by end of 2024, IMO!
Will be interesting to see the strategic partnerships and what they entail and hypersonics/unmanned engines and engineering should be a positive piece over the coming years.
Exactly this, I started buying RR 29/06/2020 at 291.09 when I thought that was a good price, I still think that is a good price despite the share dilution, a lot has happened since then!
I started with £500 investments, I'm now at triple digit in my ISA thanks to averaging down, albeit with significantly bigger amounts than £500, my annual bonus has 100% been in RR shares, my average is 88p and I own significantly more shares! I've taken profit as wanted to pay down my student loan, my mortgage and taken 2-3 ski tips all thanks to RR shares :) I'm still several thousand pounds in profit...
Cheers Rolls Royce for changing my life.
What is the "head shoulders knees and toes" stuff, its been proven wrong time and time again, market dictates the prices, you and I just don't always see the market forces, the trick is to see that or have enough capital to sway anything :)
I would say the news about UK Manufacturing output is one of the main causes today. https://www.ajbell.co.uk/articles/latestnews/266567/top-news-uk-manufacturing-sector-remains-decline-amid-weak-demand
Are you sure this is for POG and not Poly?
They switch suppliers in tech all the time, normally a lower price than the last supplier but the user base is large and global so its always going to be a large cost.
But yes, they are investing a lot in tech right now, more because they haven't for 10 years so playing catch up, its a slow moving horse of a company in any changes nevermind releasing products.
That is what keeps me going Badland, I also bought when it was a "Bargain" Highest price paid: 291.09p
To give some perspective, that was in June 2020, so I've been chasing it down for over 2 years, now at 90p average with 50k shares, which is a serious amount of money for me to be down nearly 18%, fingers crossed the next 2 years goes the other way, but judging by performance to date, this is in no way guaranteed.
I'm averaging at 2.96p, I am hesitant to bring that down with the current RNS, over half my money is down at current price, what happens, happens, it was always a couple of £k gamble, win some, lose some ;)
Its OK, maybe they now do accounting.. but like you say, only ever dealt with them in acquisitions and disposals, personally.
I have worked with BDO in the past, only thing I have ever seen them involved with is finding buyers/investors for sales of businesses and assets.
