No! Wait & see where this is going at least until the end of the week
Just back from holiday and shocked at the price on this share. I could purchase prob another £9k to get average down. What are your opinions on this strategy
This 25% drop to do with Scotland having another run at independence?
Has LSE closed down?

I think many would have gone more along with freedom of Jobs Movement .. rather than basic freedom of unregulated free for all movement of people principal . I have always said that there is a limit for everything, beyond that limit something or someone has to suffer the consequences . Therefore Freedom of movement must have limitations regarding and relating to the size the country or area. The EU seemed a good idea at the time and has helped trading for all countries. 30 years ago most came here and had a holiday and went back home as we did when we all did on holiday to Europe Cities and Beaches ..We where all mainly tourists. Now some Tourists are replaced by immigrants that have got out of control and do not go back home. Forget about those immigrants that have been needed, others on reflection have just created massive pressure on our basic services and housing infrastructure that were not at current levels 30 years ago. I moved out of London 40 years ago it was a growing frustration of getting to work and parking and parking in my local area and my own street. I had a holiday in Italy in Rimini and met a couple from Great Yarmouth and were invited to see them a month after coming home..we stayed for a long weekend and were shown the beaches and Norfolk Broads and found it was such a less stressful living location with 75% less traffic and so on... During the following year they moved to a new housing estate and again we visited them and liked the layout of the area and put a £100 deposit on £8K property and went home to think about it.. Regarding changing jobs and schooling and so on.. 6 months later we moved to Norfolk.. I travelled to and from Norfolk for 9 months retaining my London job in case we decided to move back.. But after 1 YEAR the house I had sold in London for 13K had increased to around 20K . So moving back was not an affordable option even after only a 3K increase on my Norfolk new house ..The rest is history and we have never regretted moving after 40 years.. and all our family and relatives moved out of London during the past 40 years ..some up near us... All this said the population where we live has now seen a steady increase the past 10 years and traffic not that stressful is also problematic at times, and like the rest of the country and big cities will grow worse... Finally the last time I drove back to my old house and area 5 years ago was a traffic nightmare and my old house is now valued at over 650K and hardly one car space to be seen in the road I once lived in Harringay North London and took me 25 minutes to do 4 miles at one point.... I feel sorry for the current population living in my old road but they probably do not know any better or the experiences that I have lived through and such a dense populated area now shocked my wife with a lot changed in 40 years... Just a little true story that many can relate to, and perhaps reflect of the current voting outcome .

I think I'll do some gardening..lol Nothing to be gained reading the three bank boards other than more misery. I'm so pleased I didn't buy on Friday or this morning. Unless I read his post incorrectly.. fleccy bought 170,640 odd Lloyds and they were 56p then. I kept going over the numbers and yes, 730,640 odd. I'm sure. I'll go back and check.
Whilst you are absolutely right about sovereignty - I do believe there was also a degree of self interest - both ways - which is why both camps laboured the economic consequences .In fact all credit to those who did vote either way on their personal beliefs as opposed to personal benefit Go did make it plain their opinion of consequences- but were not believed by many The referendum has taken place and it would be good ( but unlikeley ) to see politicians of all parties coming together to take the country forward
Re. Not spelling out the downside GO couldn't have made it plainer what the consequences would be to the extent of being accused of scaremongering..he really did lay it on . Most people thought it was bluster. I don't agree that the Leave vote was based on ones personal issues. Sovereignty was high on the agenda. My opinion is thst the Commission brought this on themselves by failing to acknowledge the shortcomings of their myopic view of a US of Europe....whatever. I hope other countries hold a referendum and vote Leave. The EU needs to be shaken to its core and another country voting to leave would do that but the whole concept is flawed.. A very noble concept at best ,ill-conceived at worst with hegemony in mind.
Personally I think the real problem is that politicians and civil servants without drum bashing etc should have laid out clearly, well ahead of the event the known consequences firstly .Then any assumptions made secondly so a properly informed choice could have been made by those that were interested. To a large extent I believe the electorate were voting on perceived personal interest ( perfectly understandable ) instinct or as best they could from the information available. That said they did vote and for better or worse made a decision. With hindsight perhaps there should have been an over rider that for a major constitutional change a certain percentage vote was needed
There's no argument to any of what you say, it will all be a matter of 'stance' and negotiation. The real question is one of choice for the Scottish people, ie: to be part of the UK or, alternatively, part of Europe. That said, there may still be a question over the outcome of last week's vote. The ramifications are already showing to be considerable and there is time to reconsider before formal application is made. I am not saying that should happen, we have voted, but it may depend upon what else happens.
Come on lets have a wee bit of positivity surely?
I take your point that they are countries in their own right - but they are not members in their own right any more than England is . A such I would imagine to join they would have to show they meet the criteria and adopt the Euro I do think realistically that Germany France etc at the minute will have more important things on their mind as to whether scotland will or will not vote for independence from england and then will or will not vote to join the eec
Been watching the football all day..now Hungary".Belgium. How come a small country like Belgium has so many top flight players ? Alderweral plays for my team Spurs..oh 4-0 to Belgium now..amazing. I see them and Germany at the final. I'd be really pleased to see Wales through to the semi- finals but not against Belgium and that's who they will play on Friday evening. Stagecoach..no probs re. Wee Englanders.. We've come across delightful young ladies from Romania and the Baltic States when we've eaten out. If I were a young man again I'd be delighted to befriend them. The lass who served us at a sushi bar was from Latvia and her face lit up when I mentioned something I'd just been reading about Latvia AND knew the capital is Riga..lol . My wife interrupted our conversation to order..lol. One day a German lass came to the door selling specialist food boxes...ingredients and recipes for them and it's organic stuff. We have a regular order now. I lived and worked in Frankfurt-am-Main for three years and stillmspeak decent german which delighted this very attractive young lady, then my wife interrupted us with our first order..lol. It's great having these people here, it's what I did going to Germany when I was 23. I had a job to go to,work permit, residents permit, ID card...actually, we need them here. It's crazy not having an ID card which must be carried in the light of all this free movement of EU citizens. For me,what I did was under the umbrella of controlled immigration. Pandemio..Maybe Boris looked and sounded downbeat because as he left home he was harangued by very angry people, including a cyclist who came alongside his car and shouted at him. Ebullient as he is he can't cope too well with that kind if aggression towards him. That's some list you've highlighted. It wasn't thought through tomthat extent or any extent because Remain didn't think they'd lose. DC took a gamble in order to sort out his back benchers re. the long.-standing EU split. A thorn in the side of the Party. Re. Thevexpenses I've made two posts regarding MEP expenses. I've also posted about how Neil Kinnock as EU Commisioner..our turn..who sacked Marta Andreason, chief accountant for whistleblowing on the fraud she uncivered. Sacked fir being 'dis-loyal. I don't want to lose this post but if yiu google it you can see what happened.Back in December last year thevMEPs vited ti keep frim public scrutiny their over-generous expenses..I say all...not the Greens, not the SNP ,they voted for public scrutiny so Conservatives, Labour,Lib Dems and even UKIP vited fir secrecy...when the papers got hold if it UKIP..Farage ,ordered his MEP(s) to change their vote on the grounds they made a mistake because the papers were complicated...yeah.. Sterling is down another 2% I'm hearing on the news..football finished. I expect the market will be down again especially with all the Labour resignations. What a heck of a mess we're in. I can RBS going back below 200p.
The point Mrs Sturgeon is making is that Scotland is presently included in UK membership of the EU and the Scottish and Northern Ireland populations have voted to 'remain. It is not a matter of 'joining'. These are Countries in their own right, they are not Counties.
Well I take it that now we have a nil chance of winning the Eurovision Song Contest again...
Sturgeon is taking opportunity to be centre of attention Wants to talk to EEC when we leave etc. If she paused for thought for one minute it might occur to het that Germany France etc might have bigger worries on their mind than whether a relatively small nation in population wants to join or not .For a start they will need to replace the UKs net contribution to the budget from somewhere. Whilst I can easily understand why Scotland would wish to be truly independent, I really struggle with why they would want to swap a union i.e. UK where they have large influence and respect to being dependent on rules and laws made in Europe where with their population number they will probably have very little say. There has to be a moderate chance as well that by the time we leave - if it proceeds - we will not be the last departure and the EEC in its current form will have ceased to exist
The fear factor and uncertainty will now be driving the markets. I think we will see continued wild swings and volatility on both the FTSE EURO and World Stockmarkets for some considerable time to come this is now a "Day Traders" market.
dunandusted maybe i was a little harsh in using the word "Little Englander" and apologise. Although i do respect the valid arguments put forward by the Brexiteers my anger and critism was aimed at the so called marginalised white working classes who never usually vote but turned out this time in their droves to vote, with the intention of giving David Cameron and Establishment a kicking. Most EU migrant workers in this country are young, hard working and highly intelligent energised and adaptable people, who have brought wealth, and a rich seam of alternative culture to our Country, We have nothing to fear but a lot to learn from these people living and working in our Country. Pandemio you are quite correct this Referendum can be overturned a lot of people are now regretting voting for Brexit and are now staring into the abyss. Austerity, Tax Rises, Employment, Working Tax Credits, Minimum Wage, House Prices. Triple Lock State Pension, Bus Pass, Food Prices and petrol the list goes on and on, are now all under threat. There now has to be a consilatory cross party debate in Parliament and with our EU Partners we are not out of EU by any means yet.
