Over 2.3 million of cash burned in less than a month. Ouch, surprised this has not dropped further
Looking like a good punt so far. I'm also invested in Boo and expect them to post stellar results this week, all things considered, which might also help lift the whole sector. Would they be willing to buy Quiz?
I've topped up 10k shares. I think long term, there's considerable potential. They've re-opened online orders so should get some cash coming in.
I actually like the products, so happy to hold. At current market cap, it's a steal IMO.
HI all. So what's the thinking here? I've taken a fairly small position thinking that a market cap of 7 million pounds makes this a fairly obvious takeover target when the world goes back to (almost) normal. Thoughts?
Not really heading for administration. As ive previously commented, insider buying would likely put the Board in a position where they will need to purchase the remainder of shares in the market.
This is trading at a market cap below it's current cash balances so is grossly undervalued and offers some buffer.
The primark move to refuse paying their rents could be interesting - if it works, I'd hope Quiz do the same.
Anyway, I'll be adding to my holding here. I currently have a average holding at about 14p. Not to unhappy at that.
None of insiders are buying any shares in this price
Looks like company is heading towards administration
Kipper don’t worry about me sunshine my investment averages 14p and it is all free carried from
Profits.
Occasional wear, weddings, parties and social gatherings.
I think this company offers fantastic value but I honestly think 2p could be seen here, this is like a genuine apocalypse.
Let’s prays they find a vaccine fast
Lol. Yeah I think they face significant short-term risk. However, they currently have no debt on their books (according to their last set of results) so that should give them some lee-way in the future. Hopefully COVID-19 isn't going to last until September.
I really don't think they have enough cash to see them through the worse. Maybe they can apply for one of Boris's loans otherwise their only hope is for Korg and BTFATH to buy them out.
yep, under reported cash. We don't know their current cash position, however. Covid 19 may have trashed the cash they have...
crazy times, crazy values
This is toast - the consumer spend will collapse and they will fail in a heart beat. End of the week gone..!
Can't see Quiz surviving this.
How much lower can this go? There may well be further historic lows to come.
In these unprecedented times, who will survive and who will not?
This Corona virus is going to probably drag on to Spring 2021.
A lot of vacations, events, proms and social events will be cancelled. Not to mention ghost town high streets and maybe even closed malls. This will no doubt hit revenues hard over the next 12 months, but Quiz should survive. Going in to this they have cash in the bank
Online was always the future and store closures may well be sooner now, rather than later, which could actually mean a leaner and meaner Quiz comes out the other side.
Remember Quiz demographic is focused on the under 30s.
Good luck all and stay healthy.
Well blimey! I just bought slightly over a grand's worth at 7.4p - there's more money in the bank than at this price - crazy!
Plenty of buyers today at cash value. China CV cases reducing gives hope imo
I'm saying dyor in this market. I have a buy order in now. Online sales are up and should continue to rise, but another 12 -18 months before they can offload more shops/renegotiate rents.
priced at cash usually means priced to buy, but we are in unique times.
if they sold hand sanitizer id back up the truck!
I’m tied up with tlw at present and managed to get my average down below 22p. Still watching but I want at least a bagger in tullow first.
Just waiting for the signal from BTFATH and Korg to jump aboard the Quiz train. Guys what you saying?
Think the virus could be the final nail in Quiz. You must be mighty glad you lowered your exposure BTFATH
Every day 8.5p is looming tiny amount of trades and completely unloved at present
I can’t see it going much lower than 10p. I’m in.
At cash level, I will triple up when it does
Korg it's under 12p why haven't you added?
Was that Schroeders as those two trades were more than FIL sold?
