These Aim stocks take the biscuit - excellent RNS, as far as I can see no other relevant factors i.e. finance, delays, excuses, nothing. So why does it go down, nobody likes it and nobody likes Aim anymore. Maybe, on second thoughts, it's really not moved just the late UT has taken it down a tad which it'll probably reverse up on opening. Pathetic, though to be honest, I wish I could wake up every 6 months and look at the sp 'cause looking each day is a nightmare. Longgboy - don't let me put you off, don't think it's humanly possible for this share to go any lower.
Hi shipmates, Thinking of doing some research to put in PF. GLA
A mixed PF of blue chip..mid tier and AIM is a prudent measure. A PF of AIM stocks alone do suffer the ambiguities of the market. MM's play the AIM market like a Hieronymus Bosch painting.
The PTR abacus must have frozen balls..3140 bopd or beyond next RNS???
Big sell of 1.5m shares @ 12:32 today. Can't believe why people want to sell up and realise their losses today. Ain't we just had a good RNS? Surely no-one is cashing at a profit. Can understand a few Cypriots are short of cash but not many in here surely - lol.
Agree i thought i would have to get my Abacus out. Last RNS FEB 8 2600bopd Add 102 @ 380 = 2980 Add 105 @ 160 =3140 Now we are at 2800 bopd???? can anyone help or is the calculator they use in russ frozen due to the weather?
I don't think the price will change greatly until this company produces on a consistent basis, and hits it deadlines when it says within budget. This as we all know hasn't happened in the past - hence its treated with a certain degree of suspicion from the financial institutions and PI's alike. I've been topping up in this for a while and I think patience is key and hope that the management don't make any more c-ck ups.
pablo - I know what you mean mate. While FTSE stocks reach new highs and enjoy a bull run things are brutal down here. You are running just to stand still. Any rises are sold into. Bad news is punished severely. Good news is ignored or discounted.
Concur. Plus the figures don't totally add up : From 8TH Feb : Total oil production, comprising both the Lineynoye and Arbuzovskoye oil fields is currently 2,600 bopd. This rate does not include any production from well 112 which is currently shut-in for long term pressure build-up testing, or the 300 bopd currently lost from the two Arbuzovskoye wells. Today we're up to 2800 bopd only yet new Well 105 produces 160bopd and well 102 back up to 380bopd. There should be more increases plus well 112 to come I think. Anyway, I would like another of my Aim stocks to recover to where I bought it - most are at losses. God knows what would happen if any of my stocks had a really bad RNS, they seem to be all issuing good ones and ....nothing happens - lol.
Going back to last November : PetroNeft received notification on 20 November 2012 from Henderson Global Investors that it holds an aggregate interest in 43,790,232 ordinary shares of €0.01 each which represents 6.79%* of the issued share capital of PetroNeft. They only held 43m then! Obviously actively buying and selling. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Excellent RNS today, muted response from the market, and all the 10% guys are out already. Aim is getting me down. Dried-grapes, hope you're right. I mean surely this company has now done what it said it would do and the results have been as expected - yet the sp has halved since October and lost 33% since poor RNS on 8th Feb before today's massive 0.25p rise!
Just noticed this well is missing from the latest operational update. The following was stated in the RNS dated 8th Feb: "Arbuzovskoye well 112 has been successfully tested at an initial rate of 140 bopd with no visible water cut. The well is currently shut-in for long term pressure build up testing before it is put into long-term production." So, assume 112 well is still not operational and not included in production figures (it says this in RNS 8.2.2013) and we will receive update once pressure build up complete and the well is up and running which would bring us up to the 3,000 bopd level.
for this to recover. The market got badly spooked from the last RNS. It looked like production was about to dissappear!!! This is on the mend now but its going to be slow and steady from here for a while
Wait to see next week. Buying across the market will be stunted til we see if the Russkis invade Cyprus and nick all the best deckchairs from the Germans.
What a miserably muted reaction by 'Mr Market'. Seems he needs a lot more good news than this to be convinced of a genuine PTR recovery.
This should be heading to 6p by next week huge volumes back here soon let the rns sink in and the value of this share will be seen
Share Price up around the dizzy heights of 4.40p!
Good news all round. Production back to approaching 3,000 bopd. Things definitely looking up.
Told ya..bermuda shorts tiime :P
With the weather around Tomsk, Oblast hitting a sweltering Zero degrees Celsius. Things must be hotting up for RNS soon PTR released Production & Reserves report 2/04/2012. Deja vous??
For clarity of all, there are three RNS in February that related to Henderson holding: RNS 12/02/13 stated "PTR received notification on 12 February 2013 from Henderson Global Investors that it holds an aggregate interest in 76,070,183 ordinary shares of €0.01 each which represents 11.80%* of the issued share capital of PetroNeft" RNS 13/02/13 stated "PTR received notification on 13 February 2013 from Henderson Global Investors that it holds an aggregate interest in 80,612,217 ordinary shares of €0.01 each which represents 12.50%* of the issued share capital of PetroNeft." Then RNS 18/02/13 advised a reduction in holding "PTR received notification on 15 February 2013 from Henderson Global Investors that it holds an aggregate interest in 59,034,710 ordinary shares of €0.01 each which represents 9.15%* of the issued share capital of PetroNeft". No further RNS since that later date suggests that Henderson has maintained its shareholding.
I'm not saying they are completely selling out, I was asking the question of "are they selling out"? I asked this after looking at the most recent RNS showing Hendersons holding reduced. GL
You 'noticed'? If you'd really been following it you would have 'noticed' they bought two stonking great heaploads prior to their offload you keep mentioning ;)
Yep, I like the prospect of PTR, but like many investors, I don't want to buy in to see it drop further. I'm going to hang fire a few days to see if Hendersons sell off any more. I noticed Hendersons have also bought recently, so they may be playing the SP. GL
On Tuesday you said " Ptr could be my next buy along with ore." So I take it you`ve either changed you mind or else your trying to Deramp and spread lies hoping to get in at a lower price? -- Seems so
