Big-Blue... you just get a "lol" from me. Maybe you can clarify Zelenskys extensive political career for us? At the risk of sounding pro-russian which I am not, zelensky is indeed a puppet of the west.
The tone at the G7 summit was most certainly not the rhetoric previously spouted..the winds have changed, and Germany don't want a cold winter.
It's time to dismount the high horse.
And if it’s such a failed basket case, why would Poland want any part of it?
You may have a surprise ****rupcy
Zelensky was happy to broker and impliment Minsk2.....he then recieved death threats from the UKR far right...so changed his tune....Russia will achieve their objectives and the West will continue to promote the war to prevent Russ becoming a threat to the West in the future and make plenty of money/acquire plenty of assets in the meanwhile.
But they'll lose most of it in backfired sanctions....but that mainly effects the Western Populate and not the elite powers that be....so another objective achieved.
A peacedeal will only be brokered when each side has lost too many soldiers to meaningfully continue...i.e. when a stalemate occurs. UKR will be a failed state and destroyed in the East/South East....and a lot of the west of UKR will in effect be under Polish rule....this is the way it will be.....the war is in the middle stages and could go either way.....nobody really knows......but the outcome will be as I say...regardless!
if Poly keeps it's debt under control....should bounce back well....but volatility could still pressure our market cap in the short to medium term...I wish to top up and may pay dearer when I am more comfortable...but I'm not yet!
GI Jane so the best troops in Russia were sent to their deaths in Hostomel for a ruse? They would have be better used elsewhere I would have thought. As for Ukraine joining NATO, highly unlikely with the border issues.
Denazification, well there are plenty all over the planet including Russia.
Let’s just accept its a land grab as it simplifies the situation. New Himars, artillery and anti missile batteries ever if in small numbers will start to pick off targets in the same way the NLAW and javelin did for tanks and combat fighting vehicles. Who knows how it will pan out.
Putin's stated objectives before his invasion were to make the three eastern regions "independant republics". Probably more realistic to call them Russian puppet states if he achieves that aim. Has *he* changed this stated objective?
In the beginning Putin clearly sent troops direction Kiev as part of the battle to control the Eastern states. AFAIK it's only western media propaganda that has said Kiev was his target.
I think the delusion is to think Putin will not achieve HIS objective. I think former-comic-Zelensky is making a military strategic mess whilst he dresses up in fatigues and directs killing of young men from the relative safety of Kiev, sending them into areas they are encircled etc.
Delusion is thinking that the West/NATO are going to start a war with Russia. Exchange of nuclear bombs and/or WW3 would be the result. I suspect the West will allow Ukraine to join NATO once Russia has removed their control/possession on the ground of the eastern states. The problem for NATO is doing that in a way that UKR is not immediately allowed to claim they are invaded due to occupation of Crimea+3states whilst the West is able to maintain that they don't recognise that UKR has not lost soverignty of that territory. The West may for that reason alone choose to delay allowing rump UKR into NATO. That itself will probably result in a further Russian invasion some years later.
@ big-blue, Russia will ultimately be invaded and placed under foreign administration.
Yes could well happen but if it did Russia and most of Europe would be a waste land.
For you it is a case of Russia is the bad guy and must not gain anything from this war even if it means the end of Europe.
With Russia destroyed and most of Europe a waste land you see this as a victory?
Sadly im sure you do.
Its getting to the stage now where i welcome all out nuclear war and death so i can be spared your constant war tactics dribble.
Stick to the Risk board game big-blue you utter p*ick.
My suspicion is they will have a tactical ceasefire over the winter to save the EU grannies and resume in the spring, with larger stock piles of weapons and better trained soldiers.
Absolute delusion. You actually think G7, the west, nato or anybody is coercing Zelinskie in any way shape or form. You still have absolute delusions the Putin's war will be concluded with objectives met and Ukraine will be obliged what you expected from the start and just roll over and throw flowers at the feet of Russian soldiers as they enter Kyiv in dress uniforms?
You people are absolutely off your ferkin faces still thinking this is all somehow Ukraines fault and it is down to Ukraine to fix it all.
The position of the west is absolute. Russia must nowin, at all. Russia must not gain any territory. It is the most fundamental absolutism and stated publicly by all the west leaders all over the planet. The precise path to ensuring that is going to zig zag to try and avoid outright war with Russia. But anybody reading between the lines can see clearly, the sanction route and Ukraine resistance is simply to by time ready for the all out war with a hope something will snap on the Russian side and the all out war be avoided.
Be under no doubt, Russia crossed the red line with Ukraine and if Russia does not capitulate against Ukraine and sanctions, Russia will ultimately be invaded and placed under foreign administration as the only solution to stop the persistent war mongering. China knows it too which is why it is not giving military assistance to Russia despite Russian appeals.
i think zelensky knows that as we start getting into winter with more fuel and food hikes - he will start losing support in the west.
any eu country dependent on russian gas etc will be very vulnerable
fingers crossed peace soon
This comes as little surprise. I imagine the G7 leaders have told Zelensky:
1. India which was used a a buffer for wheat supplies has banned exports to sway off starvation within its own country but contributes now to the potential famine that awaits other impoverished regions around the world
2. As autumn and winter approaches, gas supply will be needed for Europe and those G7 members will find themselves voted out of office and administration if they fail their people access to energy for basic heating
Could this be the start of negotiations? https://news.sky.com/story/ukraine-news-live-kyiv-attack-murderous-cowardice-ambassador-says-johnson-mocks-putins-pecs-at-g7-summit-12541713?postid=4080603#liveblog-body
