It's disappointing and I cannot fathom any direct cause.
Peel Hunt and SHore Capital rate it highly this month and it is led by what reads as a good team. My suggestion is that the drop is caused by general conditions and possibly fear of another 'Woodford'. POLR however does not look sensibly comparable with Woodford.
is not just the tip of the iceberg!I really like the company so would average down if I could catch the bottom. Might go on a fishing expedition for some more at 500p if the SP melts away.
Have just dived in. What can possibly go wrong?
Excellent results today and the good update is just the tip of the iceberg. Peel Hunt has raised its target to 710p and I plan to accumulate more before it races away.
You can meet the managers of Polar Capital at the Mello Trust and Funds Show. I read a note on Peel Hunt brokers lowering the TP here from 560p to 490p. Think it was to let other investors on board!
Sold SHELL and bought in here yesterday. Looking over the trades these are very small buy numbers going through. When we get good details of the trade deal with US, this will really fly:-)
Deffo a buy nice divi and this has legs.......was a steal this morning got in at 465. very happy.
I am in two minds. Should I buy Polar? ( Bi-polar geddit?)
At 281 it's time to build a holding up med to long term this will be a winner gla invested
Patients is a virtue. Going to watch this one to see how low it goes, settle and then potentially buy. The divi is secured this time around but maybe not for Xmas? It's loosing some value now and might over sell and keep dropping. Let's watch and see. GLA
Might see an RNS on holdings next week. I am going to follow this down and then buy some. Divi to stay at around 7% and next year hopefully things will improve.
Heading south, see where this goes?
Anyone any idea why this has increased 12.5% today? Very pleased it has but... .
Last year prelims were Fri 20 Jun 14, are they expected tomorrow Fri 19 Jun?
All quiet here, what has happened to this share? No encouraging news for a while.
Hoping for a full recovery to £5. I think once the market starts recovering, POLR should rebound strongly due to the nature of the business. Pleasant surprise the recovery is already starting, while the overall market is still down.
Yes indeed. I bought in a tad too early the other day but good to see bounce today. Yield here is very good and has been rising well for a number of years. Cover is respectable though would prefer if it was over 1.5.
The only reason I can think of is that there were outflows of AUM the last quarter. I do not think people would buy for dividend and then sell. That is a zero-sum game, incurring transaction-related costs.
Dunno. Maybe because a dividend will be paid next week for those on the register on july 4th I think. So people bought in, qualified for the dividend then sold. Company results were good yet again. No other explanation for the drop. This should be approaching 600p by now IMO.
This just seems to be falling, and falling. Anyone got any idea why? Based on P/E, PEG and Dividend Yield, POLR seems a good investment. Am I missing something?
It's on my pie chart
Aah, corrected itself now.
Bid 580.5, Ask 515, all buys at 545 gone through as sells. Spread -65, or -11.20%, very strange.
Why the drop after good results? I dont get it.
