Popped in and had a look. Could be one too watch, so I will. No funds at present, but may have soon. Thanks for the link. GL
thanks for the shout, bought in yesterday and up already :)
Glad to hear that as I only bought in last week and all I have seen is small decreases in SP everyday with no news. After more research last night I am happy to be in for the long run. Plant impact aims to be as important to the agricultural sector as Norton is to Microsoft I read somewhere
Online you can only buy 10k maximum at 19.68p - but you can sell 50k at the same price, 19.68p, i.e almost the full offer price! I suspect our overhang has cleared and we have demand for the shares....
Still watching at the moment. Taking a few risks at the moment by narrowing my portfolio but have been fortunate this year with BLNX, VGM and now AFC. Can see myself flurting with VGM and AFC for some time to come but of course always looking for the next investment. Not sure how much this one will move until significant sales are made but as we know shares increase on future potential alone and I see a good bit of that here. Will continue to watch and research all the way through to 2012 and no doubt dip my toe in at some point. ATB.
I found this link imformative. Looks like they may have enough cash to make it to profitability. http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/15861/peter-blezard-of-plant-impact-talks-about-the-worlds-largest-private-agrochemical-company-ripening-crops-faster-and-growing-plants-in-25-sea-water-15861.html Thanks to all those that have posted here. Not too much to read over as it's pretty quiet here. Contrats to those it at sub 15p. GLA.
I've been loking at this for a few days now. A lot of trials and positive feedback. Revenues could take of very quickly as the infrastructure is being put in place to get the products to market quickly (and in many countries). Half yearly results (to 30th September) due end of November/early December. Are we likely to see some current revenues? Or just more positive trial results? Back to the reading for now I think but the share price gets more tempting by the day.
Plant Impact has been tipped Investors Chronicle so had a look at the website. The board look like a good team and i like the fact that they have patented products. Plus they are investing in a sales team. Looks to me that its all set to grow, with offices covering Europe + Americas, potentially big sales. Worth a go I think
Online you can buy only 15k at 23.7p, whilst you can sell loads more at 21.7p. Looking good!
fight tomorrow peak hrs? now don't P U S S Y out and keep those 'chins' up :-
See the full tip here: http://www.advfn.com/cmn/fbb/thread.php3?id=22189881&from=352 Conclusion: "SHARE TIP SUMMARY: Buy So far, revenues have been modest, but broker Allenby Capital, which advises PI, forecasts break-even in 2011-12 and profits in 2012-13. It also suggests that PI’s current cash should be sufficient to get it to profits. Dr Tom McColm, an analyst at Allenby, reckons the company - including a little debt - would be worth £26m based on revenues from CaT, PiNT and BugOil alone. That compares with the current market value of its equity of £9m. Sure, PI's shares are speculative, but the upside potential is significant. Buy. "
An excellent mention for PIM in today's Evening Standard: http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-business/article-23890183-shares-portfolio-whitbread-firing-on-all-cylinders.do "TRADER TALK BlackRock fund managers Mike Prentis and Richard Plackett, who manage the Throgmorton Investment Trust portfolio, have acquired a further 137,000 shares in fertiliser specialist Plant Impact, bringing their holding to 1.3 million, worth about £276,000. Throgmorton has been one of the best-performing investment trusts over the past year. While the FTSE Small Cap (ex Inv Cos) index returned only 1.1% in that period, the net value of the trust has risen 35.23%. Plant Impact specialises in products that improve crop nutrition and crop health in an environmentally friendly way. Its sprays are aimed at posing less environmental risk than conventional products. The company recently said it had begun new field trials in Brazil, with the hope of opening up one of the world's largest agricultural markets."
A tick up, and an RNS out - good news. Throgmorton Trust have increased their stake by 137,000 shares to 1.35m shares: http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=201010191030026159U In case some don't understand, the increase in the number of shares to 45m since their last holding notification means their percentage holding has dropped to 2.95%, but the overall holding is of course increased. Good to see another vote of confidence from an institutional holder for this small cap company.
The spread on this stock is really rather horendous. Clealy, there is a signal to discourage take up of activity here, as the spread is completely unjustified.
Last year PIM hit 36p and I'm surprised we're not double that by now. Agriculture-related shares are the new Gold and I'm pleased I'm also invested in SKR. When the real crunch comes gold shares will be worthless after being the bubble of all time. Timing is everything and I've no idea what price Gold will reach - maybe 5x today's price? 10x?
wrong company thinking of paying a dividend - too much wine - sorrrry
more interest here over the last 3 days than I have seen for ages. can't understandwhy there isn't more interest as they seem quite a solid company and even thinking of paying a dividend.
116,ooo bought and only 14,000 sold and the price goes down !! am I missing something?
Did anyone post on here about the trials America (I think it was the government) is doing on improving crop yields? PIM was mentioned but didn't have internet access whilst on holiday and forgotten about it till now - certainly sounds quite promising.

Cant find FUM! Any advice please.
TEG? FUM is the best no brainer on the market just days/weeks away from lift off (iii)
No spare cash at the mo, unless some of my portfolio start to perform, so will have to wait on this one
Sorry, that other board is just getting ridiculous. Not having a go at you. looks like I might be missing the boat on this one.
