not a write off unless officially told by the administrators nearly 8 months since we the lost the case but the company is not dead so we can only be cautiously optimistic that our case will eventually go to appeal.
By the end of August 2016,I am hoping Oxus shareholders position will be given more clarity, once having had sight of the next progress report to creditors. BW
Appreciate the views of both mikebassetts and wraith. Presuming no further RNS will be issued via company itself, so are you guys saying this is not a complete write-off and there may be some redress for shareholders? Cheers
Website info now refers to end of August. They (the powers that be) have to give info to all every six months, so end of August is coming. Of course we don't know what has been or is going to be arranged, here's hoping for a positive outcome.
Ref: "What is happening end of August?". =========================================================================================== The next progress report to creditors will be placed on this website by the end of August 2016: http://www.bdo.co.uk/services/business-restructuring/oxus-gold-plc-in-administration BW
just because a few popular names vanished from this thread it doesn't mean some of us have given up!
I am hopeful, better being hopeful rather than hopeless, irrespective of outcome. I may be disappointed but maybe not. Why? This share has been an odd ball most of the time, it still keeps us waiting!
Just checking in, nothing new yet I see.
so this BB is still in existence...how come it is still up and running after all this time? What is happening end of August? Thought this had been written off? bizarre
Still here, keeping an eye, on what I view as a travesty of justice, with this current arbitration result,... not long now for end of August 2016 for update. http://www.bdo.co.uk/services/business-restructuring/oxus-gold-plc-in-administration BW
there's clear conflicts of interest but who looks into these kinds of matters? in the report on point 62 ,at the very start of the arbitration it seems to have to been bought to the panels attention but they disregarded it giving no explanation...
I am off the firm belief that an appeal will be lodged as a few commercial litigators have said that they cannot believe that an appeal will not be placed through the French courts as they reckon that it does not ring true and they believe certain conflict of interests going on. Very hopeful Unicitral must realise that this has been a flawed process and concluding decision . They risk their entire credibility and they know it in my opinion.
Still here, keeping tabs on what remains of Oxus?? The BDO website states "The next progress report to creditors will be placed on this website by the end of August 2016." Not long to find out if it's gone or still considering appealing the decision?? GLA.
From RNS dated Wed, 23rd Dec 2015: Mr. Said Ashurov, the former Chief Metallurgist of AGF, remains in prison in Uzbekistan on what the Company considers to be an unjust and improper conviction for seeking to remove classified information from the country. This matter did not fall within the scope of the arbitration. BW
I suppose I'm one of the "Lucky" ones here.. I smelt a rat a while back and de-risked considerably to leave myself a small holding in here.. I just wish it would disappear completely from my portfolio now, Took it on the chin and moved on. I wonder what happened to the poor chap imprisoned by them ghastly Uzbeks..
sorry about the double posting ...
point taken - you are quite right - commiserations and good luck to you all

if your not a holder then it shouldn't concern you..
Are there any long-termers left on this board? Does anyone remember ParanoiaBlue? He used to ramp this SHARE like a crazy man! He used to 'live on here' - and TW and VOG (+others) Wish he was still around to offer his pearls-of-wisdom. He 'laughed his head off' when JJB Sports went BANG and folk lost their hard earned. What a disgusting 'man' he was. He's up in Carlingnose Point if anyone wants to buy him a drink?
The company is in administration people are talking about an appeal as if it's going to happen and companies and lawyers are obligated to help the company and fund the law suit. The're not, a company in administration is on life support and the administrators aim for that life support to be on for as short as possible. Contractual obligations will mean very little to a company which no longer exists. Woof mentioned about the protection of share holder interests. umm administrators primary concern is to see that creditors and debts are paid the share holders can pick over anything that is left after all of that has been settled. It doesn't look good for anything being left because the senior staff weren't taking a wage towards the end to keep the company alive. If you were a share holder then your investment here has received a Ramsey Bolton special treatment. Chow time for the dogs. Count it as lost money and move on. You have my sympathies.
Myself having first bought OXUS shares in early 2009, I agree with Hon.Marc Lalonde (Arbitrator) as expressed here: http://www.italaw.com/sites/default/files/case-documents/italaw7239_0.pdf . As an OXUS shareholder, who experienced what occurred as it was taking place, in my view Justice is not served by current Outcome of Arbitration, & an appeal should take place. BW
Is it all over or is there still hope of an appeal?
you don't half talk some trash...
