Well, this looks more hopeful!
We are now below the 5p we were when we consolidated. I will wait until Thursday in the (vain?) hope that all is not as ghastly as it seems but my historical judgements on these things has not been good!
I think the writings on the wall. If there was any news of note Oxb would have been obliged to announce it in an Rns so I can’t see anything coming on Thursday to change the sp direction!
...being shown by those who have wanted the price lower for months now. But why. To coin two cliches, methinks we shall see (ie in a few days).
Like my sad self, there are many eternal optimists on here
A few musings taken from another site courtesy of gigabit. Everyone seems to be hoping for a miracle in the coming days….
cash c£140m - no, the most recent published figure is £98.8m
loan c£40m - yes, but that is included in the £98.8 which reduces that figure to £58.8m of free cash
future put option c£40m - yes, but that reduces the free cash to £18.8m
oxb cash generative on operations - no, according to last published accounts which showed an operating loss
new contract with upfront cash - yes, but amount not specified and last published report stated that new contracts carried lower up fron payments than previously
oxb solutions burning money - yes,and the fact that the cash has been injected already makes no difference in accounting terms
****logy will finish trials - not known. they stated that they were halting all ongoing development work
early confidential aav contracts - yes, but value unknown and less than previously as above
leading aav yield - not known as most companies regard that as confidential commercial data and don't publish it
Hi Kern,
I have a horrible suspicion that the markets believe that there is going to be little of note in the interims. A big loan and cash burn are a concern that could see this drop like a stone. Another undisclosed sum from a contract is not going to cut it !
I’m not invested here so would hate to offer any advice on whether to bail ! A few days will tell a tale..
Are we in a slow death here?
I know bios are not the flavour of the month atm but we are getting back to 5p in old money.
Hopefully there is a bonanza interim report in the wings on the 20th and they are keeping their powder dry for that!
Thanks!
There must be something behind today's drop. Seems too large even for OXB on nothing at all. Nothing from the Board though. 20th can't come soon enough as then we should have some idea not only of where we were but hopefully where we might be. Sitting tight for the moment.
The rabbit not only needs to be pulled out of the hat but it’s going to need resuscitated. Sympathy to all holders.
Spoke too soon !
A couple of positive days for Oxb. Long may it continue.
“Undisclosed” has been a term Oxb has used all too frequently. Kern, I agree this must be peanuts yet again…
More undisclosed payments. I can't help but feel that if they were substantial they would spell them out. I guess this will be too late for the interims though could be included in the look forward bit. Fell even further on the news. Will await the interims before deciding what to do. Biotech in general seems unloved at the moment - or at least the ones I am invested in are. Angle is another case of "should've" - 150 to 11 took a bit of doing!
And it continues. I wish I had Jackdaw's optimism but I don't.
Unless they pull something out of the bag at the interims this will continue to drift downwards - or even faster possibly.
Where is the value?
Another bad day at the office…
Thanks. Interesting.
I see from the rns it should be a full disclosure at the interims so hopefully we will have a clearer picture of where we are and where we might get to. I shan't do anything before then in the hope the market likes it!
Of course. One of my rules-of-thumb, almost always proved right with patience. Big price decline on low volume = someone knows good news is afoot and wants to get in lower, usually lots of Auto trades so not private individuals, so wait for the good news and don't bother selling. Big price decline on large volumes = yes, probably something is wrong and you might as well sell and d something else with the money. Works for me.
Jackdaw
Given what has happened to the sp since your email are you in a position to explain why you feel the way you do when the evidence seems to point in the opposite direction. I am considering baling so would welcome any glimmer of good news
Very worrying for those of us still in it. No pr since May so obviously nothing to write home about and the web site tells you nothing.
Somebody knows something and they don't like it. I am contemplating eating my substantial (in my terms) losses and saying goodbye.
no news or explanation for the continued drop. could it be that ****logy is costing a fortune with little return ? anyones guess.
Looking across other sites nobody seems to have any idea what is going on with Oxb ! Even the likes of Vulpes obviously have no idea as their investment has been clobbered.
Something going on here and not good news by the fall in the sp but as usual total silence from the company. Can't even see the one step forward but agree with the 2 steps back!
Hi Kern, Keep looking in but still out..it’s certainly a slow burner and as you so rightly point out news is very scarce. Just sitting back and nursing my summer losses access the board. Doing virtually no buying or selling at the moment but instead just drip feeding into stocks and share ISA’s. Hope you are well. It’s just seems to be one step forward and two steps back…
