Hants we are just speaking about the here and the now. We know the flu and mosquito vaccines are the jackpot winning revenues but a few rns reports for covid related deals are going to have nothing but a positive effect on the sp and make the sale of OO more attractive.
Strange how they can falsely claim 100% at 14 days and exciting that ours is better than the one the government have went with. I wonder if CF is going for FDA approval in case a second machine is on order?
Just dropped in for another quick look at what's going on here. I am a massive believer in Open Orphan and CF, but I personally have no interest in this anti-body testing - aside from it being a temporary source of income which will no doubt help the business from that perspective.
We don't know what level of immunity you gain, if any, nor how long any immunity might last. Whether you were signifcantly affected by catching Covid-19 depends on the viral load you were exposed to, in addition to the other factors which everybody should certainly now be aware of.
Furthermore, the problem with the 'Covid passport' idea is that if those people start getting special treatment, we'll have lots of people who go out trying to catch it. We might even see the adult equivilent of chicken pox parties!
If you're exposed to a high viral load (such as if you were to deliberately put yourself in harms way), even if you're healthy the risk is increased that you'll develop more serious symptoms.
No doubt I'll get flamed for this post by many people wo've had shares in this company for much less time that I have. I'm not saying this isn't a great investment - there's a lot on offer here and CF has said before he wants to deliver results for shareholders. I just don't think anti-body testing is the real play here, but that's all anybody seems to be talking about on this board. I think you're all barking up the wrong tree.
Yet in the British medical journal it is stated
Roche’s Anti-SARS-CoV-2 serology assay was tested between 5 and 7 May by the PHE diagnostic support group,2 which used 93 serum samples from convalescent patients and 472 negative samples. The team reported that all negative samples tested negative, giving a specificity of 100%, while the overall sensitivity was 83.87%, rising to 87.0% at 14 days after onset of symptoms, 87.7% 21 days after, and 100% more than 40 days after.
Abbott’s SARS-CoV-2 IgG kit was tested between 4 and 7 May,3 with 96 samples from convalescent patients and 759 negative samples. The assay was found to be 99.63% specific, with a sensitivity of 93.90% at 14 days after symptom onset, dropping to 93.40% at 21 days and 87.5% at 40 days.

Roche website says 14 days post PCR not 42?
I seen that this morning. I wasn't aware it was new news though. If Roche tests are gold standard ours are platinum.
That's a good spot Wolfi.
Surely this will give Quotient the competitive edge over the Roche test if their 100% accuracy is only guaranteed on samples 42 days post symptoms, against the 9 days post symptoms for the Quotient test?
So Quotient is more accurate and reliable. Who's not going to want their test over Roche's? 33 days difference is quite considerable when wanting to restart workers.
Some good Q&A on our new antibody testing for new investors.

What i didn't know was that our test can detect antibodies from 9 days post symptoms whilst Roche's test takes upto 42 days post symptoms.
Excellent article in The Sun.
Love the fact the video producer tested positive and hadn't experienced any covid symptoms, demonstrating that the test will reveal numbers of people with antibodies who feel theyve not been touched by covid. Companies, reading such media, will see within seconds the advantages of the test for their staff.
That is a great article. I can only see the publicity cranking up from here. With some top brand names around for contracts this could be very exciting. It’s rare to see a CEO talk so openly and enthusiastically about his business imo.
WOW! Excellent publicity! Just goes to show what a great company we're invested in here at a ridiculously low price. As Cathal Friel says "This is just one of 5 shots on goal we have that could transform the company" It's going to be a fantastic few month for us IMO...GLA
Excellent piece with a video tour too! Let the fun and games begin.
Shockingly good writeup... for the sun!
