Elrico, the investing equivalent (and similar intellect) of Liz Truss
Excellent sweet piece. Surely elrico you must close to buying back in now?
Thanks also to aqua for his part in the update.
I love Alex's writing, he is so descriptive.
Thanks Elrico, very informative.
Nice finds on the Prairie Naturals Slimbiome Cardio mol. Canada is known as a idea woke Country so made a smile to see Prairie promoting itself as Woman owned by a Ms Tran, could not make it up :)
With much gratitude from Aquae.

Aqua, when can we expect you sharing your findings?
tia
Mol, I have not contacted SOH directly myself, except for questions posed on Investor Meets, but have received responses via both TW and Lemmings in the past. The latest teaser, which I stress is not something that should be in a RNS, is none-the-less illuminating for all LTHs and helps to illustrate the difference between sweetbiotix and alternatives that generate excitement but are inferior.
Appreciate your contributions greatly mol.
What else would you expect him to do?
jees - anyone here already knows there are a number of fibre alternatives out there - in fact a number on sale - as opposed unfortunately to sweetbiotix which to date still awaits its launch
though after all these years i think we may get a product launch/es at some point this year
i also thought aquae would have contacted soh himself as i was of the opinion he had done so on a number of occasions in the past - but i may be wrong there - i'll let him confirm or deny himself should he wish
mol
LOL. I had a very interesting indeed encouraging, email exchange with SOH after Aquae sent me some very interesting research on another sweet-ish fibre rival to SweetBiotix. Initially, it could have negative connotations for SweetBiotix. However, the SOH response supported faith in SweetBiotix.
Watch this space over the weekend.

Pglancy
I challenge Elrico re some opinions and dislike his belittling of alternative views but do not hate him far from it
So Elrico holds zero shares
Thank you
PGlancy - I'm not "attacking" or "trolling" elrico. There's no "hate or contempt" as you put it. As far as I'm concerned, it's a free country and people can say what they like (providing it's within the law & preferably retains a degree of dignity & respect for others).
If anything, I'm more criticising the Boards (especially Aim companies), some of which seem to like singling out individual private investors to use as their mouthpiece. To me, this is unprofessional, potentially also creating a conflict of interest. If a company RNSs something, it's out there in the public domain for anyone interested to access.
At times, an RNS may contain market-sensitive information. So it makes sense that a company uses an official channel like this, where it can control timing of the release (for example: pre-market opening / post-market close). Once you start using random individuals to communicate, you lose control over the timing. You also introduce an element of doubt & third party hearsay (unlike an RNS, which is down there in black & white for all to see and which could be used to hold a company to account if it published inaccurate information).
I simply don't understand why you find my reservations so puzzling, but each to their own.
Lol, nice one Friedman.
I asked it Martinu, it said you will have to email SOH to find out but that whatever you do, don't post the fact you learned it in an email on here. It will cause havoc
Lord, i agree with you elrico can sometimes be too familiar and should be more professional. A good example can be seen in the contrast his son Alex writes. He is always formal Mr O'Hara rather than Stephen.
I have no issue declaring i often find rns items confusing especially when they are poorly written or over legalistic. My overarching point is why do you and others like oleric and nick persist in attacking someone that is trying to provide a service some people are happy to pay for? There some very smart investors that contribute here that see value in the service. Is your hate or contempt blinding you to the fact he is helping promote our investment to a wider audience. Other than share prophets there is no other outlet actively providing analysis or opinions, be they right or not. Shares mag, IC, Money week, etc, all feature opinions and analysis. Nobody gets it right, period. Anyway, elrico is not providing tips, its purely research and opinions are kept to a min.
You may not need or want a thridy party opinion. I doubt this to be true as much as you may protest so otherwise why are you reading and posting on these boards?
It's astonishing how much effort you put into trolling, considering you have no interest in reading anything written by him. Something isn't making sense.
FriedmanS. Could you ask it how long will it be before SweetBiotix comes to market? ;)
Impressed that chatGPT has heard of SweetBiotix.
PGlancy - I'm sorry you sometimes find RNSs hard to follow, but doubt the majority of shareholders do. The point is, they publish facts rather than anecdotes & personal opinions.
I take your point about the overlap between share analysis from individual private investors & paid for publications. Which is why I treat both with caution.
Sure, they can highlight things you might otherwise have missed. But they're also often wrong & are occasionally highly misleading (whether intentionally or not).
I did occasionally listen to elrico's early interviews with SOH, but always found them far too cosy & unchallenging. So I appreciate your suggestion, but won't be chatting to him, his sons, or any other Opti tipsters any time soon thanks.
Oleric first of all, elrico does not write about opti, Alex and Mike do. Second, elrico, Alex and Mike are perfectly transparent about their financial interest because they are declared before they even write about the company. Third, elrico gave several days warning he was selling his opti shares a long time ago. He even produced a long winded reason for doing so. Btw, he said £5 or 5 years which ever comes first. If we are to trust what his son says, he has been trying to get his dad to buy back. He hasn't yet as far as whats been declared.
I hope those facts help you come to terms with your mental turmoil.
Lord rns reports are written in a legal format and many are so badly written they raise more questions than they answer. There are many publications that require a subscription and all of them feature communications with boards of plcs. They provide a service for people like me that are happy to pay for the service because they save me many hours i do not have because i have a busy lifestyle and badly organised. Additionally, i all of the writers and analysts over me understand any day. So why get hung up on such services if they help with the research and understand, etc? As long as there no rules being broken it should not be a problem. This vendetta you have against elrico is silly. I think i have said this before, i also had a problem with him a few years ago. It was a silly misunderstanding. He reached out to me and we had a talk over the phone. He is a really nice guy with a crap sense of humour. I found him to be very helpful and willing to spend time helping others when he can. He didn't do this because i was paying him because he had a free service back then.
Why do you ask him for a chat and hammer out your concerns?
I asked chatgpt for the difference between Sweetbiotix and other sweeteners. I thought it provided a nice overview for new or potential investors.
SweetBiotix, developed by OptiBiotix, differs from traditional artificial sweeteners in several key ways, mainly in its approach to health benefits and its mechanism of action:
1. **Source and Composition**: SweetBiotix are designed based on fibers that are non-digestible. This means they can potentially act as prebiotics, fostering the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut. In contrast, most artificial sweeteners like aspartame, sucralose, and saccharin are synthetic compounds that do not provide any prebiotic benefits.
2. **Caloric Content**: SweetBiotix are intended to be low or zero-calorie, similar to other artificial sweeteners. However, their caloric contribution is derived from their fiber content, which the body does not digest, rather than being inherently calorie-free.
3. **Impact on Gut Health**: Unlike traditional artificial sweeteners, which can sometimes negatively affect gut health and microbiota, SweetBiotix aims to positively influence gut health due to their prebiotic nature. This aligns with the growing consumer interest in functional foods that support overall health and well-being.
4. **Taste and Aftertaste**: One common criticism of artificial sweeteners is their aftertaste, often described as bitter or metallic. SweetBiotix aims to closely mimic the taste profile of sugar without such undesirable aftertastes, making them potentially more palatable to consumers.
5. **Health Implications**: While some artificial sweeteners have been subject to health concerns and debates over their safety and potential metabolic effects, SweetBiotix aims to offer health benefits, particularly related to gut health and the modulation of the microbiome, without the negative effects associated with sugar or some artificial sweeteners.
It's important to note that the effectiveness and acceptance of SweetBiotix will depend on ongoing research, consumer trials, regulatory approvals, and market adoption. As with any food ingredient, individual responses can vary, and what works well for one person may not for another.
I was referring to elrico the lemon, not you.
