Just received my dividend today .
One of the few banks still paying a divi.
It’s difficult to say but I have purchased a few over last couple of weeks definitely a keeper.
This is traditionally a well run company but I wonder why such dismal downward spiral: this seems more affected than most companies , any ideas anyone? Or it’s just time to pick the low lying fruit!
7% deffo a bargain
What do you think now?
The percentage of Old mutual assets are in that country are near neglible. Old mutual has adapted dealing with Zimbabwe over the years
Thought this was a bargain at 120p, again at 100 and now at 90p
I have bought a couple of thousand as a recovery play....and for the long term.....More African economies are entering the sweet spot that Asian economies have been in with more disposable wealth leading to insurance and asset purchases. OM should be a beneficiary of these positive underlying fundamentals.
This will make losss in Zim as the usd creditors will now repay loans/debt in local bond currency
Bought a few 1000.
looks like you have your own board here joehigasi.. Top tip my friend, BIDs and PRD , fill ya boots lol
Bargain basement now under £1
even more so now
Looks a bargain now
Financial services in Africa will be a significant growth area. Individual markets are beginning to achieve widespread income levels that create protection and investment needs.....Asia has been going through this income growth....when it takes off in Africa the internet and more modern technology will mean it happens faster and stronger than in Asia...that is why I hold OMU...
This share has just appeared on my radar so am interested. I am a LTH of South African based Jubilee Metals Group (JLP) and am interested in all things that part of the world.
again ?
how low will this go ? that's the question. hopefully about 50p would be good
I wonder if 109 was the bottom, time will tell
DIXONS up and OMU down, oh well you can't win them all, one cancels the other - lol
will do me now for a decent average down
Can't decide what is a good top up price now, wait and see I suppose
Results not that great.....but driven by poor economics in RSA, ZIM, NIG.....
Interesting slide is the equity valuation of 25R per share..or 135p.....life cos often have a 20+ discount to that in the market....so unlikely to see a bounce here until Macro economics turn positive
See what happens next week, but I think I'll be buying a few more at this rate
You'll do ok at that entry Joe...GL.....meanwhile I've got a few cooking in FRES...nice to see blue in the +- field
Bought a few more at 115.9, but not so sure it's finished dropping yet
