This is just like Cambridge Mineral Resources who had a good gold position but breached their banking covenant. I told people to sell quickly but people piled in believing there would be a buyer - it went bust. In current conditions it is better for buyers to let a company go bust and pick up the pices they want and discard the rest - in this case Prem is buying the assets at a discount, but certainly not prepared to pay more than the outstanding debt. Hence why we get nothing!
Thanks but I still dont undertand the logic. What does it mean by "they hold on to the buys and sells so not to filter through". - Who is THEY?
I was feeling nervous and I have you to thank for pointing out the buying the company for $1 means we get nothing. That freaked me and I sold soon after cutting my losses.
Why there is more Buys than the Sell for OIL ? If there is more BUY then the share price should surely go up, but it seems to be tanking? It has been like this for past few days.
yes, I did the same, left Aviva with nice profit and ploughed into here hearing takeover news, which I've been waiting for for months. was very lucky (it seems at the moment) to get out 1.2 points lower than my buy. lost a fair wack of profit and kicking myself for being so keen. Also got stuffed my Lamprell 2 weeks ago and now sat in that waiting for things to recover. I had a choice of GAS or LAM. GAS would have trebled my money! arrrggggg! so Peeed off. You were plugging these yesterday POST-IT? trying a desperate ramp, lol!
the company has nothing left except a second rate outfit in canada, the only hope we all have if is art mullholland roles his very expensive sleeves(because he sold his share at around 9 quid) up and wants to do it allover again. but ask yourself if your sittin back with a massive cuban, would you, mmmm
Despite our view post-it, someone has just bought 88,785 @6.75. That said MMs now make spread 6-6.75 so they are not convinced
Have alook at FDI. A diamond producer that has seen its share price drop by 90%. Issued positive RNS today on their diamond sampling and news of a potential funder. All miners have been hit big time, but this is one that has real potential. I have researched it well and my broker knows one of the directors. I am not saying it will fly instantly but give it a few months and I am confident of a good profit.
I bought 50k on Wed at 10.5 on the basis of euphoria and ignorance. Euphoria on the sale and ignorance in not reading the RNS properly. I agree with post-it-note and feel these are worthless - that is why you will see my sale todat at 6.16. I lost £2200 in 2 days but in my view it would have been worse if I hung on. Someone else posted a Calgary News newspaper article the other day who said that the share was worthless, it also dropped 20% yesterday in Canada. Look at the spread on this share at 22% now and 34% earlier. MMs will only pay the bottom for this so don't look for anything more than 6ishp
Certain? A NR from Oilexco?
Yes but what does all this mean to us on this side of the pond? Jumped back in at 7.25p so not doing to badly.
I certainly hope so.
Mr Mullholland, did it before i think he will do it again.
I'd love to think this would help Oilexco, but most jobs are not in Canada with this company. My opinion is any injection is going to the Oilsands in Alberta, not the North Sea/Aberdeen. I'm not sure what options are left, but plan A definitely does not help us, so lets roll the dice and go for plan B as it can't be worse!
To the Oil Industry, apparently the Governmant is not too keen on job losses... I repeat again, rumours.
Cash injection to Oilexco, or to the Canadian Oil industry? I realize it's a rumor, but looking for some clarification.
Too many rumours too understand whats going on...not confirming anything, I m just going in...If this is true we re all in for a nice profit
Hearing about some rumours on a Canadian Government Cash Injection to be announced later on today....Will confirm, though source very reliable.
But only because I wrote off the best part of 1800 on it yesterday by being a ********. Really don't want to sell up the remaining pitiful few hundred, at least if I hold it then if some wonder does in fact actually happen ands this recovers I might get my money back
are having a ball with this one. Spread af some stages 33%
Ok folks - is it time to sell or hold. Thought things were going well when the SP started going up in the morning then just crashed in the afternoon. However, 0.296 per share would be nice !!!
This looks right but is it correct? 505000000 / 223830000 = $0.443 per share 0.433 USD = 0.296484 GBP If it is correct then this is a great deal for us investors?!?
Sorry I am just beginning in this. Premier buys all shares for 505mill Does this mean each share is theoretically worth $505000000 / 223830000(shares in issue) = $2.256 ?
are you one of the 'brave'? I would describe myself as 'one of the stupid', not 'one of the brave'. I only still hold this stock because it dived from 10p to 6p in a matter in minutes and my online broker refused to sell my shares until the price was 5p. I couldn't be bothered to scrape back the remaining 500 quid I had in there... I can lose 500 in 30 minutes trading LLOY so whats another 500 on OIL?
