If it is referring to the lateral flow test, why would you need to have it collected after use?
Collection must mean a lab based test, could be that version first
ODX do have a lab based test i believe
someone has to deliver & collect them , doubt Gov wants millions of clinical waste products placed in the trash..?
Finally, given the scale of the potential demand for the test within the UK, critical planning around supply chain logistics is also well under way, which will ensure a smooth introduction of the test directly to the public.

it would make sense to want them back for confirmation and ongoing accuracy testing.
It does say home testing kits. Could be part of validation.
It says delivery and collection, so not the ODX tests!
the pieces are falling into place

Hunt, now chairman of the health and social care committee, said certain groups within the population, as well as people in particular parts of the country, could be tested to try to better track Covid-19 infections.
"I think we need to think about mass testing amongst groups of the population as well as parts of the country like Leicester and so on, as our best way of finding out where the asymptomatics are and feeding them into the system so that their contacts can be isolated."
