Ooh - nice. I'm a bit too much of a lardarse for a soot bike.
Same material as diamonds as well!! I do like the description of a soot bike. Could apply the same to those supercars!

My first bike was a Raleigh Tomahawk and my sister had a Raleigh Chipper, yes, I'm old.
And the good news keeps coming... I've manage to get myself an appointment at Alt-Berg when travels restrictions are lifted.
Fourfiguresbull, maybe 2/3km, depends on the conditions - Best not to look, thats my approach, that is for driving, the rest you have a full solar set up, lith batteries, a genie for back up - So just diesal for driving.
Cheers guys - Unimogs are good, but they are limited to space for the body, but for off road, they are best of the best - Google Hellgeth Unimog, German specialists for Unimogs - In Oz these guys are kings, if you are there defo worth renting one and going off - https://www.unidan.com.au
MAN trucks give you a bigger cabin/living space, you can go up to 8 meteres, I think from memory Unimog is 4.5 metres max - MAN do more or less the same job off road as Mog, but a Mog can litereally get anywhere, used a lot for logging and electrice wire work on hills. Its all a balance, everyone is on their own journey - The advantage of a MAN is security, wildlife or people, its not easy to get in.
Blimey Bushmaster that's a nice rig. I carry my gear in ortlieb panniers on my touring bike when I go away.
"I only have a trek fx2 hybrid at the moment but plan to expand the collection in the near future. Probably a mountain bike as I find road biking tedious."
Thanks to various injuries gnarly downhill is no longer an option. I went for the Longitude as a halfway option.
I'm really tempted to get a Kettweisel Cross Steps (so c'mon ODX - make it rain!) but will have to thin the herd a little.
Ohmni, nice - Breaks up from the usual drivel over the past weeks.
JAdam, as far as I know, yes. But I am not in the UK, I am on a world tour stuck in Portugal - I use one as I know the guys in NZ from back in the day - For me, it needs the re-charge, no oil, gas, built like a tank etc which I need due to storage - I have one of these - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=UnicatExpeditionVehicle&set=a.3349201898458259
If I need trial bikes I just rent one locally where ever I am, saves a lot of hassle for me.
My 1996 California puchased Gary Fisher Hoo-Koo-E-Koo just about still alive but a replacement bike is behind some long-overdue house repairs sadly. Don't do a lot of biking since adopting the hound 3 years ago.
Treat myself to a new Boardman MHT 8.9 3 days ago to replace a Boardman 2016 MHT Pro that I have rode into the ground this past year of mostly furlough/rubbish work hours. Still getting used to her but boy do I like the one extra loose gear compared to my old 11 speed that was trying to kill me due to too much use and not enough servicing...So needless to say I'll be out on my new bike today, riding round Middlesbrough which despite what some think is an area of outstanding beauty imo. A sublime mix of new industry, old industry, brown fields, green fields, transporter bridge, waterways etc.
I can ride in any direction for ten to fifthteen minutes and be surrounded by greenery. It's great and one of the main reasons I would never want to live in a place like London. Wayyy to built up for my tastes.
Anyway. Feck all to do with ODX but some of us like riding our bicycles :) And being the broke ass peon I am come onnnn ODX, that grand for a new bike was a helluva lot of money for me so it'd be great to see some TT/contract news so I can get that money back and then some. Failing that if EUA would hurry up and conclude their FSP then I could go all out and grab myself a nice electric bike to save my ligaments when going shopping and whatnot. 20kg shopping loads couple times a month takes it outta ya lol.
I only have a trek fx2 hybrid at the moment but plan to expand the collection in the near future. Probably a mountain bike as I find road biking tedious.
"I've taken a day off to head out today. Nice flat section of the transpennine trail to build back up after winter"
What will you be riding?
Wahoo have confirmed by new Roam will be delivered tomorrow - so even more reason to get out over this weekend. The perfect excuse for a relaxing ride before the fun and games of next week.
My stable is a little smaller than it was but I still have some choice:
- Van Nicolas Amazon (my Ti bride)
- vSF T400 (Rohloff equipped) - the heavy duty tourer
- Kalkhoff Sahel i8
- Pinnacle Arkose 2
- Genesis Longitude (for bikepacking and silly off road)
- Brompton (upgraded to a 10 speed)
- Trice T
I've got my eye on a Hase Kettweisel as well - but the Trice would have to go.

I am into my bikes, KTM I like to ride - Google Monchique, Algarve.
You can get these in the UK now, I think they are for rental - https://www.ubcobikes.com/eu/
They are a blast, solid as a tank and you can really smash them around on the mountain passes.
And I've got to go to London tomorrow to help other half with moving rolls of carpet and line to the flat. Why he had to have it delivered here I don't know.
I shall just have to console myself with the knowledge the good news is incoming...
