asking why Omega/RTC test not being mentioned by Government, if your local MP is Labour/SNP/Other worth sending an email, topic of the day, so gives them something to apply pressure.
Aberdeenman
Please post the letter here, we will use it as a template and sent to our MP's
One word of caution, please include some research about how other countries ARE doing antibody testing.
This government is sooooooooo INEPT, just to answer the question quickly they may just say still looking at the science like they did last time.
I also wonder why there are not advance orders for Mologic Antigen - seems they keep putting in billion pound advance orders for crap
"I also wonder why there are not advance orders for Mologic Antigen - seems they keep putting in billion pound advance orders for crap"
Could it perchance be that Mologic:
(a) aren't Tory Party donors;
(b) don't have a seat on SAGE;
(c) don't have any Tory MPs/peers on their board; or,
(d) don't pay bungs?
Hmmmm silly me - never thought of that. I have a hatred for the media but maybe about time they looked at this angle (maybe)

The Good Law Project (amongst others) is doing just that (https://goodlawproject.org/issues/covid-19/).
Chuggley how do we know how well the mologic antigen performs?
If it was ready and gold standard im sure there would be massive orders, but how do we know?
Or could it be that Mologic are not greedy capitalists that have a primary objective of maximising their wealth out of this pandemic or trying to ramp up a share price on hype? They do not need to brag about what they can achieve. They have the government's ear, plus that of several other influential bodies. If Mologic's Anitgen test was to be approved tomorrow and rolled out in the 100s of millions, the first you would hear about it is when they are ready to tell you about it. They wont go around pumping up expectation of it, getting conditional and premature manufacturing agreements in place or distribution agreements. We found out it's in a live trial before hearing anything about it other than it's in development. Mologic are a dark horse here because they have a fantastic team of capable experts driven by tackling the pandemic and providing solutions, and not by profit. Omega's involvement is a bit of a hybrid of that because we get the benefit of their work to take into commercial distribution.
