Tinatots: thanks for clarifying. Very useful to know....
Thanks Danny.
Don’t forget estimated values reported by MW were based on a sp at that time (mid to high 20s). It’s the number of shares they use in their reports that are more consistent and realistic and can be compared with what has happened with bookbuilds.
Either way good luck fella if you are holding
I was holding far too many shares in this company anyway to be overly comfortable, so needed deleverage myself and reduce exposure
Mafioso, hope it all works out. I share your concerns, however on balance the share placing this month outweigh the delayed cash position for me, and the pros seem to outweigh the cons, especially given depressed price and low volumes. Unless fraud is established (unlikely, unless you ask cmf1) we might not get a 100% perfect review, but I think we’ll see back to £20 fairly soon. If you added up everything in the MW report, do they amount to a £billion of value? Lucky pants on...,again!
Honestly who really cares about the UT.
Focus is on shorts closing which they are and Freeh Group report to be announced some time in February.
Q
Ok. So logically speaking one party sold 327k of shares and other part bought. Doesn’t make sense a trade this size being a purchase and then an immediate sell at same price.
In which case it could be money be lent for short term trading
That s weird....
The 327k shares marked as UT @16:35 are indicated a BUy in HL website and a SELL on here.
What’s that all about?
AQR holding reduced to 1.78% on 27/1
Lol. Thats not a BUY. It’s The UT Trade lol. Q
I believe the two fund managers trying to get shot of their shorts will be happy to have done it today. The only problem then is that if there are no shorts on NMC it doesn't make research companies look as if they know what they are talking about. Think this will be back down to £13 someone just dumped a third of a mill.
Interesting that the price action today with initial rise followed by steady fall mirrors Finablr exactly
ofc not man, has nothing to do with expansion or growth lol - this is not NMC paying - its the shareholders paying !!! its as if you pay back some debt to a bank and sell stock. nothing to do with NMC cash or NMC cashflows. its not NMC repaying but shareholders of NMC. You are confusing things.
AlexKA11: : sorry where did I state they decided to pay back debt . I just stated a fact that they paid back these loan early, because they did and we know it was not by design or intention . Didn’t allude to anything else. But paying back loans early tuna originally intended surely must have an impact to rate of expansion and also on cash mgmt. That’s the point I’m making on the way I see it
Good point. They’ve had over a month now to get something out. Even on the Cash Balance side. Still nothing. Some of us still waiting. January is nearly over! Q
Good luck to you, hoping for a reversal. Glad your other stocks are performing well.
Just refuting a point: they did NOT decide to pay back debt. they had no choice. its a margin call plain and simple that was called by the lenders. Once again, pledges are contractual agreement with trigger levels and a set of rule. It was indeed unfortunate but by no means we can say that they did reduce exposure by their own choice.
@mafioso - are you on twitter?
@mafioso - brilliant summary.
Good luck in your future investing mafiosi. I hope that this recovers such that your remaining 30% claws back a decent part of your losses.
It was hard decision but decided to dump 70% of my holding since Monday. 3 tranches avg price:just over 14. Main reason has been lack of news on cash which is was meanr to ve first annoucement of results following review. For me This has taken far too long for me if all the financials were in order if you wanted to give assurances to he market. They have been too tight lipped since they announced rec and just putting out news which on the on the man has been very mixed and raised more question that answered
Following 2 book build I now reckon there is majoring redtrcuturign and governance going in behind he scenes, with Freeh overseeing. You don’t pay back £400m of debt early and at a personal financial loss to owners and all the future financial forecasts still remain in place. Share buyback is the first promise they made which they commenced post MW reportm very quickly halted and no comms as to why. I think further may slowly stream out which will have more conservative undertones rather than being champagne all round
I think this company just wanted to expand far too quickly and aquire toommnay new assets and go into joint ventures putting shares up for collateral and this has caught up. Company probably to reset it self and has to rely on or organic growth of its existing business and adjust its 3-5 year forecasts to reflect . In this scanario, i think will grow more gradually and will stay in teens for medium term.
But this is purely my opinion on how I’ve processed everything I’ve seen and read
I’ve taken a big hit, but luckily my other stocks are dong well enough to absorb alot of my lossesand give me an an option to peg back else where. Have bought into Hargreaves for now at £18 mark and see here this goes,in advance on there interim result announcement Friday.
Good, luck to all of you that remain, hopefully those that have in at these current sp levels will see an upturn in due course upon some constructive news release from this company
Everyone is down or broke even. Bots have run this for a whole month now. We need news flow and quickly. Q
