I've just revisited my post of 28 October. In it I showed a concern about Henrik selling a majority of his shares. Looking at it again what he was doing was selling 2,000,000 of the 3,000,000 he had as an exercise of options, so in fact he was keeping 1,000,000 therefore increasing his original holding. I don't blame him for selling 2,000,000 at an exercisable price of 6p for what.....40p or so. Disappointed at retrace in share price, but it has happened previously and looking at the final results RNS again and the fundamentals, things should be ok, especially if we take a longer term look...........subject to any RNS nasty surprises. Would be nice to see this push mid 40s though rather than looking more at 40p. Regards CM
Hi CM, thanks for the information, unfortunately haven't been able to read it myself as the Times don't seem to do online unless you pay for it. But any kind of contract win is good news and as long as it carries on as 'nice and easy does it' I will be happy, I think as you have said before patience is the key. Cheers PP
Hello PP. Very brief note in todays Times newspaper about Netcall. It said "...whispers of a contract in another NHS Trust would be unveiled imminently.......". Hmm, watch this space; but even with an announcement, don't expect a spectacular rise; it isn't NETs way. "We all need large amounts of money now and again"; too true, preferably NOW and AGAIN!!!. Regards CM
Morning CHEQUEMATE, not quite as bad as I thought whatever RNS I read yesterday had said he sold 6 million shares to cover his liabilities, but today I read its only 2 million shares. Shame he didn't want to keep some of them to carry on showing long term faith in the company, but I suppose we all need large amounts of money now and again. Also it doesn't seem to have affected the share price that much. Hope it continues to be nice and steady Cheers PP
here.. ..QPP, GBO...which wonder share next?
Good evening PingPong. Yes, those share sales would appear to be Henrik selling. Hmm, I feel a little uneasy that he should sell a majority of his other holdings. Just keep an eye on this. I need to do a little more research. No guarantees in this game (if that is what it is). Need to look back at last RNS and other director/institutional holdings. Regards CM
Just Henrik selling a few, hope this doesn't have any long term ramifications as this share has been ticking along very nicely for quite a while now
trades...........
Share price is at a year high/all time high. The share price graph looks very tidy and reassuring over 1, 2 and 3 year period. Fundamentals remain good. Would be nice to see this at 50p by year end. Regards CM
up she rises lol
Many thanks. I fully understand that patience is needed to see results in general, and probably even more in this case. I am not worried. I am breaking even the moment. I think I would start to worry if I see a major decline, I'm talking about -10-15%, but this possibility is quite remote in my opinion. Or probably not even then given the divi. I have got it in my ISA and I am not even 30 years old so I have all the time in the world...I will not post often in this BB as this is one share that takes care of itself I believe. Thank you again especially for running this BB and kind regards.
Despite todays poor showing for the share price, my comments from yesterday still stand. The fact that the dividend has been proposed to be raised by as much as 40% gives an indication to the confidence the board of NET has for the future. A number of us on this board are invested in GBO so we know all to well how despite excellent results the frustration there can be when we don't see the positive movement in the share price that we would expect. The market doesn't always work logically; but in the longer term, based on the fundamentals the cream usually comes to the surface. Time and patience. If I see any news for NET I will post it on this board. Regards CM
CM, very comprehensive and detailed analysis. And yes I agree slow and steady is better than up and down all the times causing investors not to sleep at night. I was just expecting more from yesterday, but it is fine like this too. ATB
Good evening folks. Ups1de, you are too kind!, I am not an expert on this nor any other share. However, I have been invested for a reasonable time. This share is a boring share in a boring sector. That is not a bad thing. Sometimes, many a time, the best returns (over time) can be in such shares - "how to make extraordinary profits from ordinary shares" is what Jim Slater would state about it imo. Lets look at some figures from the results: Revenue up 10% EBITDA up 22% EPS up 25% Div. 0.7p up 40% Cash generated up 25% Profit before tax up 10% Basic EPS up 11% Debt free The latest PE, PEG and EPS I have seen from Digitallook.com are 15.9, 0.6 and 2.56 respectively. The figures are pretty good for any company. Although the figures are good they haven't set the market on fire, maybe the market was expecting more (as it often does), maybe it just isn't interested enough on the volume traded to push the price higher, despite showing interest first thing. i would have been surprised to have seen the share price finish above 42p. But......, that is likely to come imo. If you are looking for a company to give you a fast return, then this is most unlikely to be the company for you. Lets look at the share performance over the last year though. Mid September last year the share was trading at around 26p. In the time since it has given a return of over 50%!, I'll take that from any share thank you. This is less of a high risk share than many but of course there is still risk there. Ask yourself what return are you looking for from NET over say, the next 12 months; what would you be happy with or content with?. 20%?, 50%?, 100%. What is reasonable?. In my opinion, nothing scientific, looking at the latest report I would say a return of somewhere between 20% and 50% is quite possible with less strain and anxiety than trying to chase a high flyer higher. Below is a report from growth company investor re. NET. http://www.growthcompany.co.uk/news/2395377/netcall-ups-dividend-40.thtml Taken from todays results and very important: Outlook Netcall has started the new financial year well, with sales orders well ahead of this time last year. We continue to benefit from a growing sales pipeline as the requirement for increasingly sophisticated end-to-end customer engagement solutions drives demand for our broadening range of capabilities and solutions. With a robust financial position, the Board continues to evaluate acquisition opportunities to complement our organic growth. We remain mindful of the wider economic conditions; however with a clear strategy in place and continued successful execution, we are confident in a positive outcome for the year ahead. I see nothing negative from todays results and the Chairmans statement is positive along with the outlook. Patience is required folk on this one. Tuck it away and forget about it?, no, keep a watchful eye out in case the story changes.
Fearfulgreedy, the results were decent .However there seems little market interest: surprisingly,on results day( event) not even .5% changed hands? If you are fearful- fear not, strong balance sheer, cash generation & positive outlook; if you are greedy you will have to be patient.Chequemate is the expert here & warned us all not too expect a spike.
Good evening. I hold some shares I bought at 39p. Can anybody tell me why the SP hasn't increased after today's good results, especially the divi up by 40%.
I agree. Good set of results. In at 23p so I'm happy.
Not expecting much of a spike Ups1de, that isn't the way with NET. The start of a nice steady rise would be good. Expecting to read about the contribution and the integration of Serengeti. 42p by day end?. Regards CM
Hopefully the positive trading statement on such a ' low volume' share might produce a nice spike.
This is article is a little old but gives some info. folk may be interested in. http://www.growthcompany.co.uk/recommendations/2282088/netcall.thtml Welcome to new posters here, especially those who have come over from GBO. Don't expect anything spectacular. I first invested here at 26p, sold out far too early at around 29p to use the funds elsewhere (mistake) only to re-invest at around 36p. Not a lot to show for it at present. This is likely to be a more longer term prospect. Good luck all Regards CM
With so much cash(£9.2m+) relative to market cap (49m) a crude PE is misleading,EV of £40m & net profits hopefully north of £3.5m show there is still nice ups1de.Much to like here : strong growth in a healthy(!) sector & excellent ,high RECURRING margins.Cant wait to see how much next week's results pleasantly surprise (given last positive trading statement.)
more like... ...yep long list of Jolly excessive enthusiasm: cns, bry in the tech space; and too many to bore everyone with elsewhere lol ...the GBO A Team is taking over NET
Churlish not to join such fine party animals as jolly & chequemate. Curiously my am buy of 31k@40.3p hasnt shown up here yet.Future prospects, balance sheet strength ,excellent results next week & favourable resetting of key multiples will hopefully reward us all over time( like you both I am a fan of value not pricing...though jolly can be trigger happy!)
I'll make lots of noise here then (signifying nothing) ...nothing is most
Ey oops, look who's here!. Hello Jolly, buddy, welcome to the NET board; tends to be very quiet here. Can't keep a good man down eh?!. Sorry Jolly, booze has all gone. We drank it all over on GBO when share price breached 50p. However, there may be some cheer here shortly. This one is off most investors radar at present, not a bad thing imo. Wonder if Pingpong has had any contact with their contact recently?. Regards CM
