Horrified still to see yet more photos of ES signing deals in Az.
Surely the various authorities should be investigating him?? This is a complete and utter disgrace how he is being allowed to walk free when we have been well and truly been screwed over. I have lost thousands of hard earned pounds and I'm not impressed one bit. He gets to sit in the sun with a big, wide grin, flashing his gold watch and getting his weekly manicure. There's no justice in that. How many people are going to be at the Dubai Expo?
Very helpful post, MrMustard. Thanks.
Should I still give II a call though and ask them the same question? Just to see if they give the same response?
So basically, there is nothing we need to do right now, no? No action required? I take it II will let us know the score when they have more information?
Petham, I think you're right and my own ignorance in all of this hasn't helped either. I've just got off the phone to II having demanded to speak to someone who knows the answer or I will close my account. They said: details of shareholdings are still held on CREST but are now non-transferrable and in non-certificated form, II awaits further instruction from MYSQ/CREST, will contact shareholders if anything changes, in the event of sale any shareholder value would be received by II and be invested in the relevant nominee account, if cease to be held on CREST II will contact MYSQ and request certificates which will then be distributed to shareholders (for a fee of £42), if deemed to have zero value (I.e. MYSQ is wound-up) then they are removed and that's it. Mini summary, no action is currently required. I feel a bit more comfortable about II's involvement but am also slightly concerned the latest II person may also be talking ******.... Although, what II and others do and don't do is the least of our worries in this sorry state of affairs! GLA
MrM..... I was trying to sort my certs out since Jan and did everything I could to avoid losing them but was given bum info. I think II employ people that don't know what they're talking about and do whatever it takes to avoid their responsibilitys. This is the second time they've done this to me and I get the feeling they like to keep the shares for themselves .
T7.... Yes I notice Mysquar active on facebook everyday as is Eric and KOB with Omni World Holdings!
Good to see mysquar products mingalarbar morning, games etc still gaining followers and operating. Would be fantastic to see the company turn things around after all it’s been through. Good luck mysquar.
Whoops, been a bell end and not seen all the earlier messages about certificates, purely coincidental that I called II yesterday. II obviously talking nonsense to me and will have to get on to them again. Sounds like a desperate situation with this deadline.
JJJzac, I think you should call II again and see if they give you the same info as they did me. Hopefully it will be the same explanation! Cheers and good luck.
I spoke to II yesterday and was given a very different explanation. I was told that I could have a copy of the certificate for £42 (incl VAT, per product wrapper, I.e. pension and ISA = £84). MYSQ can still remain in an II nominee account while it shows as active on the stock exchange (as opposed to listed). In the event that it ceases to be shown as active and/or has zero value it will be removed by II and policyholders will be notified and could request a certificate. Meanwhile, in the unlikely event that the business is sold and there is shareholder value the proceeds of the sale will go into the cash account with II, remaining in an ISA or pension wrapper, if applicable. I think that £42 is a waste of money as the chance of any value is, imo, very slim, so all the while II is prepared to hold it in a nominee account it may as well stay there. Although it's a very small percentage of my overall loss the last thing I want to do is lose even more.
Defined should read defunked.
I requested a share certificate from II they responded explaining that Mysquare are now classified as defined so unable to provide a certificate. They suggested either to gift the stock or transfer them to another broker.??
I think it's the brokers who are at fault.... not dealing with the request on time. I did mine at the last minute but I was acting on the brokers advise which I thought was part of their responsibility. I contacted them a couple of times before and was never told the deadline isn't really the deadline!
Some brokers a better than others.
Jez - this certainly doesn't sound fair. As I said previously I received a share certificate, never having asked for one, from Computershare via my broker Selftrade. It seems to me that it is your broker that is at fault?
So without our share certificates, what we had is now worthless? We were never given the opportunity to have our share certificates because the deadline date was exceeded. This sounds as though it was done on purpose, surely? Screw us over one last time...disgusting.
Beck... after the reply from the FCA I posted I'll be doing the same...
If you're concerned you about fraud you'll need to report this to Action Fraud. They’re linked with the City of London police and are tasked with investigating matters such as financial crime and internet fraud. You can contact them on +44300 123 2040.
Andy.... that's true but the larger brokers still charge for holding them which is fine if you have other shares. There are a couple of free brokers where I'll be moving mine to but in the mean time I'm reporting II.
I think if the company wanted an exit scam they would have done it by now so there must be some value left and a bit of hope.
I have lodged my complaint with Action Fraud some time ago, they have acknowledged receipt and reviewing, everyone raped here should do the same, the more the better.
without relist to start trade, i think no different having certificate or not had it
Thanks for your email.
Please note we will not be sending out certificates since it took too long to receive the confirmation of details, resulting in deadline being missed.
The deadline was when the stock got removed off CREST. Since the stock is no longer CREST eligible, it cannot be turned into a certificate.

I'm with Interactive Investors and I don't have my share certificate. Looks like they are now lost.
My shares are no longer visible on my IG account, and apparently the deadline has expired so WTF are my shares?
WTF is all this about deadlines?
My shares were with SVSXO, Dies this mean they have disappeared?
JTF - this isn't advice as such but just to say that I didn't ask for the certificate as I didn't realise that there had been any deadline. It just arrived, as I said earlier, from Computershare but sent by my broker, Selftrade. Hope that you have some luck with IG.
My broker is II and after reading some of the posts from earlier today, I am now very worried. I never contacted them to ask for my share certificates and it appears now that is a no-go due to a deadline date being surpassed? Oh great! Some advice would be very welcome please from those on here who use II and know what to do....?
Hi to all MYSQ shareholders. I haven't been watching this forum for quite a while as I had more or less written this off, sad as that is. I did receive a share certificate for my shares from Computershare via Selftrade. Reading through the previous posts, maybe we have a tiny bit of hope for the future. At least the company seems to be trading at a low level. Good luck to us all.
