is there anything we could do right now? or have we literally lost everything we have invested? Would be great if someone could answer this. Thanks
Unfortunately you cannot claim a loss until the shares are sold or the company goes into liquidation. I hope that we can exchange thoughts on a forum somewhere.
hi .i like everyone have lost a large lump ,but also been lucky as my wife has a capital gain bill due 2017 I know that we can put our loss to our gain there BUT how do I sell my shares to show the loss Thanks
So what's happens ? Do we get our money back ?
Exactly how I see it too. A couple of years is nothing in the O & G game. I can wait for them to re-build the Company. As for the price of oil, the current low-ish price can double in an instant, especially when there is turmoil in the middle east. Hang about, aren't the Ruskies, Yanks, Frogs, Japs and Chinks in the middle east, all wanting a slice of Syria?
I'm not clutching at straws ,just looking at the facts .why don't you move on and look at giles 8 posts and you can see the one I refer to .
Theyve gone bust mate...... No chance of them trading again. Best to move on and not to clutch at straws!
Or were you trying to get the best price before suspension ?
Do think mr Putin is still going to cancel all debts as your post on April 2015?
I have carefully read today's RNS several times and I detect very little padding or waffle. There are a number of unknowns, some specific problems and some issues awaiting proper outcomes. I think that it is prudent not to start trading again right now. I think some here need to be patient before saying that the company has been stolen from the shareholders, when a sensible and cautious approach might yet save things. Had MXP started trading again, it would have started making money for us all but had unresolved problems then been encountered, the situation might have become a lot worse. Think of a share-price that's nose-diving after a premature re-list because of the problems in the RNS now. Currently you own shares in company that isn't going to be on AIM for quite some time, admin didn't happen and why would anybody put in 7-8 months' of work to try and save the company when there was no point on doing so. I don't think the situation is all that terrible, it's very disappointing and bad news for investors, but give it time. I think they are waiting for the price of oil to improve too which is a good way to come back in.
It was just the penny dropped when you said you were attending the AGM with your barrister .did you go to ask all your questions or did you go to answer them all ?
Sigh. Negative DarkBlue. The Wordsmith has gone already to join Mr. Young for cocktails, leave him be my friend, he is not me and I am not him.
Could you answer the questions .is your first name Tom ?
The cost of some dodgy shares on AIM - £200 Value of those shares when they delist - £0 Having fun at the Oily Twonkers expense - Priceless!!!
Just one more question Oil-spelunker is your real name Tom ?
One day we may return who nows, some nice thoughts hotshot ,the saying that comes to mind is you may get back less than your original investment ,let's hope this comes back so one day we can be the winners ,some you win .but its been worth every penny .good luck guys .
Good Luck to all you chaps on here, yes, even Oil-S, I hope you recover your losses elsewhere, and will see you on other boards around the dark and murky world of LSE/AIM? This board will vanish soon I guess, so best of British to you all. Keep smiling! :)
its a nice dream to have for it to come back, but in reality i doubt it will happen i think agr will look after themselves if the company does come good, but its always there, and you never know what will happen in ten years, so at least we can dream.
£27k to me is a mere bagatelle. I'm not hurting, so gloat all you like. Best of it is,.you're too thick to see it's still not over. I'll wager I'll get my money back in the future, with interest. Whilst you will receive sweet FA.
We can in the future bring forward an unfair prejudice petition if we are unfairly treated by AGR
that all but one contributor to this BB have accepted the situation with good grace and written it off to experience. Whereas that one contributor who has whinged, whined, wailed and moaned for over 7 months has resorted to gloating over their so called 'victory' when that 'victory' includes losses that probably exceed those of every other poster on this BB. Is this what they call thinking outside the box. Or is this the thinking that puts you in the box. Anyway whatever the answer is our Oily contributor could have redeemed himself and covered himself in glory if he had just turned up at the AGM with his barrister as he said he would. There again if you have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars and are living in a cardboard box ( that's where the thinking gets you) affording a barrister is a bit problematical.
I received a courtesy call form them. I understand they will continue to work towards completion of the subscription for AGR to be 63% shareholder. Thre rest of the shares will be owned by us. Obviously the minority holders have certain rights which maybe exercised in the future. He did say it was possible for max to be relisted in the future.
Oh my. Coggy is admittedly my least favorite blokey-bloke on these boards, and look at this - 8,535 posts! And he dareth say that I have a mental illness? Wow! That's what we retired mental health professionals call Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. If I were to rub in my victory right now, he might blow a fuse. If I were to rub his nose in the dirt over me being right about MXP all along and he being wrong, he might lose his last marble. So, I will not gloat about his looking like a horses' arse and me being proven correct about MXP's dire financial condition, bankruptcy, possible dilution, etc. I simply will refuse to write about how stupid he must feel right now. I just will not do it. I don't want Coggy to feel awful about all this. Same for HIVorsoreass. I don't want to push him over the edge either about all of this. He must feel terrible too (knowing that I was right and he wrong I mean). All that talk about unfrozen shares trading to 200-300% boosted levels and whatnot must have a few posters really down in the dumps today. Pure depression for them me thinks. Now is when a victorious fellow like me must take the high road and stay classy, I must be certain as to not stoop to the level of those who lost to me so dearly.
lark all wrong. Here is what the Oily Kerplonker wrote on the 15 Aug 15:- '..... so much so that I bought over $500,000 worth. I've made it clear that I believe that they misled investors and made egregious misrepresentations. I have Michael Young on audio recording from investor conference calls telling us how great Uytas was and how much it was worth by itself (north of 20p), and then even telling us one time that he had some good news because Uytas was bigger than initially expected. I invested hundreds of thousands of dollars due to those comments and the presentations. Then they tell us Uytas isn't even commercial. WTF. The whole thing smells like a great big scam. It looks like a giant ponzi scheme to me - no doubt about it.' So you plunge in to an investment believing all the hype you are hearing and if oily is to be believed lose large amounts of money. Then when it all goes t**s up you can claim you were the only one here that new what was going on. Makes my £200 punt look very small beer but at least I went in being aware of the risk.
If I was still a shareholder, I would be angry that management (whoever that is now) failed to disclose the filing of the involuntary bankruptcy petition against Samek. That seems to indicate that 1) they do not care, and 2) there was never any realistic chance of saving your equity. Perhaps Tom Randell wanted to disclose it and was forced out when the others said nigh. Perhaps we'll never know. MXP now seems to have stepped squarely into the NUR1 drill hole and to have disappeared down the shaft. It seems to be getting closed in, plugged, and abandoned as I type (like Robster with his past girlfriends). Having lost a fortune myself, I feel for you dearly, you are all my matey mates as far as I am concerned. And I promise never to rub it in (about me being right all this time and each of you looking stupid now I mean). In your time of darkness, just remember this - if you believe in God, all else is possible.
