CK you are the first to moan when companies place! MTR are in an almost unique place on AIM with near cash. All they have to do is leverage up on the SFR shares and structure an appropriate loan note and then make the SFR shares work harder. What is the point at this stage in dividends to shareholders. As they say Cash is King! You should know that! Nom de plume ou nom de guerre? C’est le question mais non?
CK how do you get those figures?
Good RNS on the imminent share buy back … nice concept if its part funded by div's from Sunfire. My read of the RNS was that there was also cash and poss sale of assets, eg Sunfire shares to fund the buy back.
Either way, having just exited SPD after a lucrative share buy back (2 tranches took it from £2 to £3 in past few months) I have topped up my holding here as I see the same potential for a buy back to address the current discounted market cap. I cant see it making the 2.5p of the Director's Interview but I am hoping to get over 1.8 from where we are
Casey , where's the £3.5 to £4 million admin coming from !
Much better than a microscopic divi
Nice try, Cashking. In fact, the company will get about £550,000 in dividend from Sandfire (its first of many twice-yearly dividends, post the MOD purchase), which will pay for the on-market purchase of about 40 million MTR shares - all to the benefit of shareholders (including board members) as, ceteris paribus, it will drive up the MTR SP and reduce the number of shares in issue.
I know from your posting history that you will welcome this as you are always on the look out for signs of dilution - this of course will concentrate, rather than dilute all shareholders' interests.
Is that right the company gets Dividends and the shareholders get nowt ! Bonuses for the bods would be an eye opener !
