Without a dividend there's no income stream for the Icm shareholders so they'll keep on drip selling shares. And we all know what that means in a relatively illiquid company. There's not many investors that know we exist. A shares screening won't reveal that we are actually a profitable company until at least January next year on a full year basis. And most investors will wait to see maybe 2 or 3 years of increasing profits to buy in. So as many here said before, a dividend is a very powerful signal to the market. It does not have to be a huge chuck of the cash flow, just enough to put us on the radar of a new class of investors
more to the point for me it's not the divi as such but the message it sends out. The major s/h has already stated his preference and that will sway far greater than anything posted on any BB like this one.
I would rather have the divi before BOD get their noses in the trough!
Having said that I would forego a divi if it meant the cash was used to enhance the business a year or two down the line, and as mentioned not poured into the BOD gravy train. Aimo of course.
YHAL, "Growth Potential " and dividend implementation are not mutually exclusive, indeed they are complementary to each other.
It's okay, I have 'read up on 'what's going on and the .luxe potential'.....the 'dividend' reference was a bit of humour (rolling eyes!).
Regarding capital gain, what we need is an injection of positive sentiment beyond just operational progress, something which Dividends would provide by sending out a more unequivocal message about Confidence & prospects goong forward.
All points as mentioned in previous posts.....etc ;)

Manically, not magically.
It's the growth potential, nothing to do with any dividend.
Read up on what's going on and .luxe potential.
Without that growth/potential any dividend will put a lid on capital appreciation here.
Careful what you wish for.
If MMX have the right contacts in the crypto sphere this can begin to move over the next 24 months, substantially and beyond the expectations of most here that are magically obsessed with a very small dividend.
Must be all the talk about Dividends ;)
Bloody hope so....with all the directors buys something must look good to someone....
What's going on here? Is it trying to break out? 6.39 to buy
Sunday, I just want to make sure they don't renage on their stated commitment to introduce said Dividend, hence think it's prudent to remind them and also have contingencies in place to address other eventualities - especially since no reaffirmation of that commitment has been mentioned since, so hope it wasn't just for the benefit of ICM holders at the time.
I like Toby on a personal level and indeed have indulged in a merry old drinking session with him back in the day. However, having been involved in the markets for some years, I can also appreciate Taproot's sentiments regarding extravagant Executive remuneration, whilst shareholders get left out in the cold.
It'll be interesting to see what Toby comes back with - I sincerely hope he doesn't disappoint.
Atb my friend.
YES,I absolutely want a dividend and nothing but a dividend.Dividends are the measure which all PIs and investors understand ,the measure by which the market makes judgment on success and a key driver of new money/investment into the company.I don’t care about the extra costs,I want visibility in the market with this key discipline,(the paying of annual dividends) established .
Good evening bonum.I am of course very keen for shareholders to receive a return on investment at the earliest possible date ,which I calculate to be now, however I don’t quite see managements agenda as you do,one reason being because SJL ,our largest shareholder ,without salary and benefits is used to substantial dividend payments and will require them again in the near term .It could be that individual tlds are targeted for acquisition but I can’t see another ICM type acquisition either.
I am intending to call Toby and hopefully gain a better understanding of his future plans for MMX,but I must say that I am pleased with the job he is doing and the considerable progress the business is achieving under his steer.Dividends, are probably the only area of disagreement I have with him and that may be just a difference of opinion on when.not if,.we shall see. For sure, I’m irritated on that subject but I’m not at the anger stage that you and Taproot seem to have reached, essentially because I do believe they will come this year.
I will continue to press for the dividend and i certainly have a breaking point ,in the meantime ,yes please do give me your contact details ,always good to talk on these matters...I will leave you an email address on the Nigerian station in the early am tomorrow. Atb
Sunday, so you want company admin expense, possible tax for some (friction), to then reinvest it when the company could achieve the same with less cost?.
Taproot, on the face of it, I think you have some valid points and genuine concerns that we all share.
My fear is that the Management team will be set more on an Acquisition strategy than one on delivering to shareholders, the justification being to build a stronger operation but effectively used to also justify increasingly obsene remunerarion packages - that from the perspective that ordinary shareholders (owners of the company) are at the bottom of the pecking order & effectively can't do anything about it anyway.
We can conceivably be going down that path for an extended period of time, with ICM shareholders either selling up or buying into the 'bigger picture'.
I don't think the effect on the share price is a major issue to them, as they'll still be getting well paid and Cash talks when it comes to implementing those acquisitions - the same dividend cash pile that should've been distributed to Shareholders but is instead being utilized for the 'greater good' of the company......again, all good as long as the Management don't sacrifice their ongoing benefits.
That's actually my view on why there has been no mention of a Dividend since......essentially they've decided to implement the aforementioned strategy to the detriment of otdinary shareholders.
What can we do about it?
In the face of it not much but things do have a habit of building up a momentum in certain situations. I know I and other LTHs have significantly large individual holdings and there are the current ICM holders of course.
Can we do something? I think we may be able to if we're pushed but would hope the Management actually stop zeroing in on their own personal needs and start considering us Shareholders within the picture.
I'm not sure if anything we can do, will or will not ultimately effect such consideration.....but I would hope Toby still retains some of the old sentiments he used hold for Shareholders, when Freddy Kreugar was in charge.
Thoughts & observations welcome.
Sunday, I'd be happy to send you info on my Holding levels etc, if something does need to be organized.

Names garden shows all 10 single number ,vip domains as available (0 - 9). However, we know that in the past two weeks 3 have been sold - 1, 5 and 7 - so have to assume names garden will be updated. We received an update on .luxe - perhaps there is a similar one with .vip update - renewal %, premium sales etc? If you are correct bonum the other numbers may/will attract higher pricing. As for the timing bakky - pretty sure it relates to the policy of releasing premium domains over a period of time to avoid perceived revenue spikes (and hence one off as opposed to recurring revenues) - plus Chinese market was subdued for the last 12-18 months - perhaps it is wakening up again hence the sales? Plus we have new senior members of the team to increase sales and mmx needs to show they are adding value to justify bringing them on board? SB
so why are they keeping hold of them for so long?
We also have the number '3', which means 'give birth' or 'life', along with 6 & 9......8 being the luckiest, as mentioned.
(I'm not an expert in Chinese numerology but just looked it up, lol).
So, a few more good ones up for grabs!
Are we sure 8.vip isn't sold? The page shows a live website that to me seems like an investor's portfolio of domain names . ???
Many thanks Silverblade. Yes, one hopes that 8.vip goes for a mega sum as I’m sure there are many wealthy Chinese individuals who would pay handsomely for that one!
Jal - there are various web sites which publish daily registrations. I look at dnpedia dot com. If you look at online tools it will show you the daily domains options. Click on .vip (number 12 in overall list) and it will list all domains registered today. Top of the tree - 1.vip. The one to watch for is 8.vip - lucky Chinese number - and thought to be the best .vip domain to secure - but at what cost - the more the better for mmx! SB
Hi. Where was it publicised that 1.vip had sold?
Excellent post Silverblade. In addition to your points ,I would like to see quarterly reporting in order to facilitate the clarity you mentioned.Very much agree with getting out of the lamentable AIM market too.The MMX success story is very much contained within the tld market and existing investors,it’s not visible to many outside the space...Dividends would add a little sparkle and attention to this under the radar stock
Sold - that's got to have been a decent earner. It is pretty clear that the company is looking to deliver an equally strong Q2 to that of Q1. As to the dividend - there is perhaps some rationale that the timing of any update was impacted by the ongoing participation in the .music auction. Now that we know the result, and in the absence of any further update, I am working on the assumption the 18 month timeline post May 2018 still holds - which would see the intro of a progressive dividend announced with the H1 results in Sept (although I would also like to see a H1 2019 trading update in July). Fully agree with your dividend point on AIM companies Sunday - although I would prefer there was a plan to move away from AIM which is largely a market for early companies to raise cash to grow businesses. CNIC is following a different path with a stated aim to grow its business through acquisitions and continuing to raise money to support this policy. Its share price was languishing and as pointed out has increased by 50% in two weeks by offering clarity on its plan and ability to generate increased EBIDTA - albeit the business is still heavy loss making once all costs are taken into account. Interestingly this morning it has announced a significant plan to raise funds for its latest acquisition and pay down existing loans. Similar spaces but perhaps a clearer message from CNIC on what it is looking to achieve. MMX needs to provide that degree of clarity so investors can understand what the companies ambition is and provide an investment case for much needed support. SB
The vast majority of shareholders including the largest one want to see a dividend policy implemented, many like myself, to reinvest back into MMX ,thus reducing the free float..Dividends represent profit to the market and are symbolic of success and profitability.Less than20% of AiM listed co's are dividend paying..we need to join that club now.
So low it's a joke. Someone having a laugh.
