Well today is the day to close out the Cotec deal
Hoping for a detailed update on US plans but may just get 'transaction closed, £1.5m etc.'
We will see, regardless exciting times (outside of the MDA)
2 new sets of lawyers have joined the party in the last few months - DWF and Trinity. That means expense and delay, but should also mean licensing and a MDA that sticks. Just a little more patience needed I'd say then hopefully a massive reward.
Keep the faith! I'd imagine the people of Malawi will have their hands pretty full with the terrible cyclone devastation at the weekend. MDA can't be far away and when it lands all the frustration will be a distant memory!
Time for patience and to keep adding imo
I suppose the possible positive is if they are not all three issued at once it does seem Mkangos is going to be the front runner but yeah for a nation desperate for foreign investment and getting its mining industry going it seems to have a problem with actually making that happen.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day
Lets hope its this month and they don't stall further
After this I am completing avoiding investing in anything of any operation certain territories, which is a real shame as I always had Malawi down as a great place to operate, but this has completely tarnished my once very positive view
The mining ministry is telling a FB commenter Mkangos MDA is coming 'vry soon' ..... Which is nice to hear but who knows what clock they run on :)))

That's a signpost - I know from my own research that China cut Japan off back in the day.
If countries are seen to be spending money to diversify their rare earths supply right now then that has to bode well here.
I'm not worried tbh, I think it'll be signed very soon! Don't forget there's the American angle of pressure to get things moving and they don't liked to be kept waiting, especially as U.S-China relationship sours weekly. They've already shown a hand when it came to release of the anti-corruption minister dissolving the trumped up charges.. it's all in a bid to get the ball rolling!
The carrot dangling is reaching all new levels with these Facebook posts. I wonder why all the positive words but such a significant delay. I'm backing this share 100% but the waiting is a killer. All new levels of patience testing
Japan is also buying into Rare Earth projects such as this investment in Lynas this week
https://asia.nikkei.com/Spotlight/Supply-Chain/Japan-takes-first-stake-in-heavy-rare-earths-to-reduce-China-reliance
has to be done this month surely, I can't wait until the asset is sold or moved on
Just sign the fricking thing!
LOL!
GL.
CoTec will want as big a piece of the pie they can get there hands on IMPO. Julian Treger CEO, CoTec is already "Super Excited" in the future of Hypromag and its N.American scale up. The NPV figures for 1 continent alone on a minimal scale are astounding! Funding for E.U through German Govt. only emphasises the possibilities, with ease, scalability into Asia, Australasia, South America & Africa!!! IN A SHORT SPACE OF TIME!!
In the Cotec presentation, JT said he would be in Tokyo Japan 'Next Week' to discuss potential for a RE recycling plant, so I decided to do some digging to see what the market was like in Japan
Only two days ago this article was posted
https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Materials/G-7-eyes-joint-effort-to-turn-e-waste-into-rare-earths-other-metals
'To mitigate potential risks to economic security, the G-7 is looking to work together on collecting e-waste and turning it into a source of rare metals. G-7 members are estimated to produce 20 kilograms of e-waste per capita per year.'
And take a look at this piece of legislation I knew nothing about
A framework for smoother cross-border transfer of waste is also in the works. In 2025, an updated Basel Convention concerning electronic waste will enter into force. The provisions will place restrictions on the transfer of hazardous e-waste, such as those containing lead or ****nic, as well as potentially explosive waste.
In summary, in 2025 these RE plants can turn a huge liability into an asset - ewaste
'During a trip to Washington in January, Yasutoshi Nishimura, Japan's minister for economy, trade and industry, called for a new "network" for recycling rare metals with U.S. and Europe'
Might be an RNS today or Monday
https://www.accesswire.com/743045/CoTec-Holdings-Corp-Announces-Closing-of-Non-Brokered-Private-Placement
Pursuant to the Closing, the Corporation issued 7,153,210 Units for gross proceeds of $3,576,605. The Corporation will use the gross proceeds of the Private Placement to fund investment commitments and for general working capital purposes.
In regards to
£1,500,000 Maginito Investment
CoTec has agreed to subscribe for shares in Maginito ("Maginito Shares"), equivalent to a post-issuance 10% equity stake, for an investment of £1.5 million (C$2,466,900) with a closing date not later than 15th March 2023.
And the buys got bigger. 13k and 23k toward close. The nag is pulling..
Remember Julian Treger's numbers are just for North America ALONE!!! Not MKA's hypromag commitments in the E.U, which has ALREADY been part funded through a German Govt. grant! Now, we are having talks in Tokyo next week and a scope for the Middle East expansion.
THIS is why Tregers values this as a Billion Dollar valuation, AND this is what boggles the mind!! Having a global scope of a patented product able to generate massive figures on one asset alone... This is without Songwe!
It's a 4x from here - period.
Good work BTW guys.
Big year ahead for @MkangoResources as Songwa Hill #RareEarths Project in #Malawi MDA nears & recycling gathers pace #MKA https://twitter.com/Share_Talk/status/1633742613936320512?s=20
There seems to be movement again here with smallish buys flooding in. 7 month pattern is actually upward despite the retraces. This is itching to go now and with the hypromag presentation yesterday the sentiment is only widening. Malawi has pens in hand to light the touch paper. Whether it’s a buy out or a finance, the opportunity for scale is astonishing. What a share to be in. Come on Chakwera, let’s put some good news out in a bad news world.
Focusing on questions and answers mostly on the future and expansion of Hypromag and Maginito courtesy of Gary!
Thanks for sharing that interview. Very appealing. Fingers crossed we get the news we are all waiting for soon! GLA.
NT to buy more than 1000 shares .. time to get out of the way PEEL Hunt :)
