Doesn`t look like it....drifting again! Madness considering the GM soon.
Think we might have a blue day today
Calm waters.
just seen that article below is dated 2 June 2014
for Zorbas...below taken from proactive Inv's website: the AIM listed mining exploration specialist has a second potential company-maker in its Narke shale oil acreage in Sweden, which is also host to one of the world largest unproven uranium deposits. It produced oil in the 1940s and ‘50s, but closed when a fall in the price of oil rendered it uneconomic. It is known to contain 500mln barrels of crude and there may even be gas – although this has yet to be confirmed. The plan is to drill Narke to amass perhaps 1bn barrels resource before selling it on to a company with the deep pockets required to exploit this sort of oil discovery. Zorbas said Narke isn’t technically challenging, but will require significant capital expenditure to maximise its returns. That said, at a cost of around US$2 a barrel, it will still be one of the most economic field developments in the world. “If we could increase the resource to 1bn barrels this would be a game changer,” says Zorbas. “We would look to sell it in the ground per barrel with very good economics. RBC is giving values of 80c for oil shale in the ground. http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/58748/uru-metals-chief-zorbas-thinking-big-58748.html
Thanks Derfel, I will hang on and watch with interest.
for sure, yesterdays could be a rollover, if not buys. todays looks like a buy. we'll never know and it don't really matter :)
Two of them are from yesterday (may be a rollover actually).
Anyone checked the bid/offer at the time & that these 3 100k trades were not sells.. . Perhaps that's what's caused the drop today?
could be ... been the usual form to drop to shake pi and fill orders.
Yep 3 x £45k buys at 45.00, directors again?
Big late trades. Actually look like buys.
Agree Euclid - probably already sold.
Viet Energy Ltd is not a listed company - would explain the lack of news releases such as BFS?
If they are paying out 50% in div's from the profits - then we can take it they are fully funded in the development on this asset? sounds a very high dividend from an asset with no news releases of BFS completed & production figure - IRR - Capex costs to the s/holders of this asset But IMO, I think Calvert has a buyer for their stake - othereise why pay the premiums to get into MCC - plenty of cheaper cash shells out there
I am sure we will get news soon regards our 35% interest in viet energy and 309,000 buy at 50p
Zorbas was a miner, but it doesn't mean that the Vietnam coal is not worth more. " In addition to the investment in MOWISAT, the Company has a number of natural resources and energy sector investments, the principal of which is its 35 per cent. interest in Viet Energy Ltd, an unquoted company with two coal concessions in the Bac Giang Province of Northern Vietnam. The concessions are based in the Quang Yen Basin, which currently provides 80 per cent. of Vietnam’s coal production, and are just 10 kilometres apart, potentially meaning they could be linked into a single exploration area. The Company has been notified that the project will be going in to production in the first quarter of 2017, and that Viet Energy intends to pay its shareholders a dividend of 50 per cent. of its profits." So obviously this going into production in Q1 is important as we have a 35% interest in it...unless i'm missing something???
ha... title got auto-filled there :)
Letting the side down today ... having a great day elsewhere. Usual bounce be nice please.
Enough already about the coal Zorbas has gone - he is a miner this new lot are technology focused. the coal and the other bits and pieces will be offloaded in fairly short order to free up £££ in the war-chest . Forget about the coal man.
It was CTL.. news and progress on it did dry up soon as the current situation started to play out. We may well hear something soon from the new BOD as they get stuck in.
If they are going into production, doesn't a Feasability study have to of been completed - we have no news on this from Zorbas!! Is this a pilot production - on a staged production system - are they producing coal or CTL, no updated news again on this
I think many of us were in for the vietcoal and expected 'iminent' news hinted at by Zorbas in August ... Calvet buying completely changed the play. Some saw it, others didn't. Thought that might tickle you les ... gotta laugh (& learn) eh.
lukily for me i was intrestd in the vietcoal - i sore muny to be made when that came to production in Q1 this yr - i was thnking if i can get a 25% return it'd be here was ground preparation by Zorbas as he changed his investement strategy to suit Calvert and the new board. Zorbas wnated out, Calvert wanted a vehicle and everyone's a winner.
Lmfao :-)
