"we are seeing some impact of reduced demand in certain of our end markets as the UK consumer continues to experience economic headwinds"
I think this statement could be the issue.
Hi Mayor, thank you for taking the time to reply.
Can I just check I'm not missing something.
What was release this morning is good news is it not? Investment and another company as well as the potential sale of an another facet of the business?
Thank you
Not sure why the SP is down after this RNS sometimes I don't understand the market and how this impacts the SP even after this positive news IMO.
Good morning,
I want if someone might be able to shed some light on this morning's activity, or lack there of. The R.N. S from today seems to be only good news in so much as investing in a current partner as well as a potential sale of another element of Luce co which will release a large amount of capital.
There seems to have been hardly any trades and the few that there are are notable sales.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
I thought the update was good too, but markets are so negative at the moment, a company has to improve the outlook (rather than hold it as LUCE have done) to not get a negative reaction.
Agree =- the long term outlook is good - would love to see more international growth.
Yes, I thought so too - clearly a difficult market to be trading in so when contextualised they looked damn good results to me - shocked to see the sp decline. Well run company in my view - will recover and see significant growth in the years ahead if the world can sort itself out - big if
Today's trading report was quite good, I thought. Why the 6.5% share price drop
Big Volume today. 1.4m shares traded. Average is under 250k
Just watched their briefing. This is a professionally run outfit operating in tough, tough markets. They have done exceptionally well and when the economy turns this company will thrive - IMO
Directors did not appear desperate in the slightest
Directors desperately trying to be upbeat regarding trading update today..In reality it is disappointingly mediocre in performance
Looks primed for a decent move.
If anybody could explain why such extreme drops currently in the market I’ll be most grateful.

The results highlighted that LUCE commanded 4% of the charger market and planned to chase a larger share this year.
Muscling in on a rapidly growing market 💪
Looking good for a run into high quids over coming months imo
Totally agree - great company - continuing to expand and in new markets, good management and pays a healthy dividend while we wait for markets to improve
solid update... ****e market!
Good find smkr.
Have every confidence in the management team / backers behind LUCE.
Genuine growth play here, wouldn't be at all surprised to see this around the £1bn mcap again.
Looking forward to the trading update in a fortnight.

9 months in - Currently a Project Manager for areas I have never covered in my previous 10 years of Lighting and Project Management!, currently 20+ Project wins ?…
Buzzing with the support of the team and management around me. Feels very much like a forever home!
Was a couple big sized buys on Friday and now blue, book looks much better. I think the slack may have cleared
Looks good for it now
Decent volume again today.
Time for another leg up before the update next month.

Another director buying shares.
Thinking that the Co will be seeing a boost from the new minimum EPC requirements for commercial buildings.
Commercial building owners can get a quick boost to the rating by changing over to LED lighting.
Sure LUCE will be doing well out of this legislation.
