36 days to 180...
It won't be Cooper they got taken out by an even bigger fish Eaton of USA. So probably Eaton, another US conglomerate or probably the Chinese. Laird have so many cutting edge patents in IOT, telecommunications, automotive etc in every continent and all manufactured in low cost bases, at the current SP the buyer would be getting Laird at a steal. Maybe that's the managements' plan. They get a big takeover pay day a shaft the shareholders again.
I share your frustration, its been a tough week or so. My portfolio is nigh on 10% down after this sudden crash and there's me thinking I was dealing in relatively safe stocks obviously aside from Laird which has sank over 25% in the space of a few months. I wonder if Cooper industries are having another look like they did in 2011. Laird currently valued at just above NAV
With Carillion, Capita and so many other meltdowns, nobody is answerable or taken to task. in the meantime, CEO's and other company bosses just milk these companies. Persimmon paid out 100m to Chief Executive and 85m to CFO mostly from Help to buy rise in property prices (thats your and my tax money) The Government is so preoccupied by Brexit that we continue sailing rudderless
It looks like the captain and his crew have abandoned ship on the only lifeboat and left the passengers to swim ashore in shark infested waters..
Really. That is worrying. Also no trading statement was scheduled like last year. At 3rd Quarter everything was Rosy so unless something drastic has gone wrong , we await results on 01/03/2018 It is pathetic, there is no statement from the Company but Directors havent been buying. Will they pull a rabit and put boosters on the price or will it deflate
Have you tried to contact investor relations. I did and they said f&ck off, were to busy to be concerned about investors.
How is it that previous years we have had a January trading statement, yet this year nothing....not a dickie bird..the silence is deafening...come on Laird update your loyal shareholders
36 days to go to zero.....
It's just a matter of time.
has recommended this at 118.7. But looking at the prolonged slide in the SP, I'm not sure I fancy it, as much as things look ok at face value. Catch it at the bottom and this could be a great investment, imo. But where's the bottom?
Look on the bright side, if it does go to zero there won't be any selling fees to pay.
Not unless I sell. But if it goes to zero in 37 days it won't really matter.
Moniman You loosing money on this share? I got out some time ago, down about 2k, but could have been lot worse if I was still holding now.
37 days to go to zero.....
https://www.lairdtech.com/news/laird-present-innovative-massive-mimo-5g-antenna-technology-mobile-world-congress-2018 Hopefully, these may boost the share price
38 days to go to zero.....
Moniman, Dont dispair. we are all down on most shares. Hopefully, 01/03 will be good news
39 days to go to zero.....
So another 3p down today on no company news. This now means that at this rate within 40 days we will be at Zero!!!. Can't understand how we can be down almost 60 consecutive days without any management warnings and such a positive trading update at Q3???????????????? Confused.com
The Stock market is drifting down following a massive drop in US last week. On Laird it is best to just sit tight till 01/03/2018 when final results come through. Electrocomponents have announced good progress with turnover and profits up so that should boost Laird??
Another penny down today. Only 123 days to go before it hits zero.
It probably doesn't matter that management are keeping"officially" quiet. Either someone from management or their accountancy firm have potentially already leaked the results to insiders by the trend in the SP over the past few weeks. Either that or the money men have a very special crystal ball? If news is poor then it makes a complete joke of the last trading update in October. Let's hope the conspiracy theories are wrong and the ship is still on course.
Directors have not bought since April 2017. Is that a sign that the Company has terrible news in the offing?
Moniman, my sentiments are the same. I hope it isnt as bad as Carillion or Capita. Cant understand management keeping so quiet while the shares have fallen so much
