*no respect for trolls
I am. I just have respect for trolls.
"I am not proud of being British."
Go and live in Russia then.
Goodnight
Gazzleberry
"Queen Elizabeth II of England means nothing to me"
Of course you meant to say Queen Elizabeth II of the UK.
We'll don't try and engage me then troll.
You're not even invested here Gazzleberry so what do you care about Lloyds share price ?
Just trolling again on a different subject from your left wing nonsense for a change perhaps ?
Gazzleberry,
Take a look at the news. There is a war going on in Ukraine, inflation here is running at 9%, interest rates are rising threatening peoples ability to repay mortgages and credit card bills and a recession is looming.
Pointing out the bleeding obvious to you as to why Lloyds share price is where it is.
Is there any subject we can all agree on..lol
These share chat rooms always seem to bring out the worst in people..lol
God Save The Queen ..... Just watch an emotional program on the BBC showing unseen footage of the Queen
Makes me proud to be British :-)
PSK,
It depends how much the others buyback spends are PSK.
Lloyds is exposed to different market variables than Barclays for instance. It is much more UK focused. The share price movements are dictated by things other than a daily drip feed of buyback activity.
Gateboy no disrespect but I give up!! Just watch how the other 2 perform against lloyds. Good night and good luck
We will see the benefits of the buy backs in years to come
More dividend money for existing shareholders and hopefully some capital growth once the market resets the share price next year.
Just imagine,. if we can afford to do £2 billion annually for the next few years...
We be quids in IMHO
What you are failing to comprehend PSK is market capitalisation. The buyback reduces the number of share in issue. But the amount being spent on the buyback is fixed (at £2bn this time). If A and B have the same market cap, the effect of the same amount of a buyback for each company will be the same whether A has 70bn shares and B has 35bn shares. The effect on market cap is the same. The percentage increase to each share price as result of the buyback will be exactly the same.
Victor I know you know I made a mistake with that post and put million instead of a billion but you obviously don't make mistakes. Victor can I ask how far you are under water currently? Seems like a lot
Perhaps you re read your post and don’t make yourself look silly
You claimed that after a consolidation there would be 17- 21million shares in issue 17-21 Million I wish
I just can’t work what level of consolidation that is
I’m sure you will know
Gateboy I know that I am trying to point out that lower shares in issue the impact of a buyback is better.
Victor why don't you read my other posts I have stated billions!! You may have overlooked those as your obviously trying to be intelligent not
This is like pulling teeth.
£2bn will have roughly increased the share price at current price levels by 2.8p when the buyback is complete.
Share prices move for reasons other than buybacks PSK.
Reference your post on consolidation
Well if there were 17 million in circulation as you mentioned after a 3:1 or 4:1 consolidation
I would be laughing all right
Millions Billions
Easily confused lol
But you did make me laugh
Buyback performance just look at the impact!!
“ I now base my decision on how many shares a company has in issue and 70 billion is ridiculous. I would invest in lloyds again if they can reduce it to barclays or nwg levels.”
What does it matter how many shares are in existence ? It’s the market capitalisation that counts i.e. number of shares x share price = Market Capitalisation
Victor your so funny!! Don't moan when lloyds does not move in line with other banks.
PSK,
Read the RNSs on 25th Feb and 9th May. These shares are already admitted to the share register.
PSK
Do you work in accountancy
Asking for a friend lol
Old money yes but that was then and this is now. Not good for long term holders obviously but new investors its a good one to be invested in

Psk
I hold NWG and all holders know they are only 22p old money. Consolidation 1 for 10 . But it gets them abstract over the £1
Non penny share thinking .
