Board has set out the plan for the rest of the year. Delivered so far with JKL drilling (and impressive results). Truly believe work done by Core Geophysics will set out the roadmap and it's what I'm most excited for. Drill some, big raise, followed by another bigger campaign (is 10,000m DD wishful thinking?) and I honestly don't think a resource of 1m oz gold is beyond us.
And that's just at JKL.
20 20 hindsight is a very strong tool Javier, the problem is that in practice, the reality has always run ahead of you!! However, your decision to hang on will be richly rewarded in future after the next drilling program and the forthcoming reserve announcements.
Still holding long here, I could have taking profits at +60% when it was at the peak, yet I believe I can make bigger gains than that.
Management have done well to acquire this project , in the short space of time that was available. There are various elements that factor in with junior mining.
There an element of luck also , which tends to be overlooked.
Willem Middlekoop of the CDF has said , " you can have a bad management team and still make a great discovery , we have seen it so many times"
I guess it's also relative to how much your willing to stake here, if it's a small amount then I feel it's worth a gamble, IMHO. I am already in since 2019 at the lowest price it was , can't complain
I wouldn't trust any formal qualification as a recommendation of honesty. Just look at the legal profession in the United States.... Nevertheless we all should have enquiring minds, if you don't ask the questions, you're less likely to get the answers. Good to see you're still on board Mr. Long. Excellent name for an investor!!! Stay long LEX. Tons more long miles to come I'm sure..
Mr specs, I stand corrected. Thank you for putting the record straight. BUT seriously... why is the share price lacking.
P.S. Harold Shipman had a PhD too. Wouldn't trust that as a qualification of honesty...
Yes, as I remember it, there was quite large-scale illegal mining at the Tanzanite mine which required extra security to be employed and it was so unsafe for company employees that legal mining had to stop for some time. A combination of this and apparently unhelpful local government put paid to what was otherwise a promising venture. After all, tanzanite is rarer than diamonds. I may be wrong but I think the BoD was at least partly different in the sapphire venture, which struck me as a mess from beginning to end.
The current gold prospects have numerous positive aspects in a first world country. To my non-geological brain, they seem to have handled things well so far, especially with keeping sensible RNS that are neither too frequent nor frilly. It seems a case of when, not if, there will be a JORC maiden reserve announcement. Until then, we may see the SP drift in either direction. The SP movements are mainly incomprehensible in this share but we mainly seem to be LTHs so will put up with it in the short-term, having belief in medium-term prospects.
They didn't. Olivier was CEO in tanzanite 1 days. They discovered the tanzanite and were selling tons of it. The Tanzanian government the decided to effectively exopropriate the mine. Game over. Check your facts. Olivier has a great record in gold too. He's a highly professional geologist with a PhD and a great track record.
I seriously doubt this has anything to do with the perception of the BoD. The reduction in SP has more likely been caused by some short term investors taking their profits and moving on to their next target. On AIM the SP can move significantly with very small trading volumes. I suspect anyone who has bought a reasonable number of shares is still invested and waiting for the SP to ?? which I have every confidence will happen
New bod? They brought back the shyster CEO from the sapphire days.
Based on the drilling results this share should be 10p. BUT it's not, it's dropping to pre result levels. Which is insane. Unless the issue is the Board. Maybe past performance is making investors uneasy, maybe a lack of faith in the boards intentions to the investors. If you look back to the sapphire years, you have to admit, some very dubious dodgy stuff went on. Has this new board done enough to convince the market of there good intentions?
