Maybe Mr lewis is thinking of taking out vs to give them the edge over competitors
quoting""""""John Lewis has selected a new platform from UK tech company Virtualstock, designed to further enhance the retailer’s Supplier Direct business. Virtualstock’s platform, The Edge, will manage more than one million orders per year across the retail giant’s 350 suppliers"""""""""""" good luck all one million orders a year, what does that Work out to for Virtualstock?
Just seen a huge tick up from .195 to .21 in one go. Bid now @ .204 Must've been a big buy!
where LEG has a holding is showing a 7% rise today. Not sure why. Any thoughts?
Yes MM, I'm in for the long term/IPO - I am hoping VS is either bought privately or floated in the near future.
The follow up to this is that if LEG want to increase their shareholding from 7% to 10% as is occassionally mooted on other boards, they would need to pay as a minimum the same price that Nick Jenkins paid. So an additional 3% is 191,640 shares, at a minimum of £9.07 means it will cost LEG £1.74m to increase their holding. That is also assuming somebody wishes to sell them.
Sam, I see you've asked on the other forum about VS shareprice. The best way of calculating this is as below. We know that when Nick Jenkins bought the company had to be valued, it was given £58m as its valuation. They have 6,388,000 shares in issue held by various folk. So £58m divided by 6.388m gives a shareprice of £9.07 LEG has 475,000 shares in VS so at £9.07 per share the value to LEG is £4.3m So, if VS shareprice was £9 when valued at £58m, the SP valuation at £100m is £15.65 (£7.43m to LEG) at £150m its £23.48 per share (£11.15m to LEG)
Yep agreed L1onheart looking good. You in for the long term ? IPO ?
Retained profit (Shareholders Funds) also increased by 60% between 31/03/15 and 31/03/16 which is a very good indicator on Abbreviated Accounts.
Thanks Sam.Abbreviated accounts to March 2016 so , as Soupdragon said, not much on there by way of fixed assets but these are shown at cost so will not reflect the true value of the IP.Debtors are up 66% so good sign of increasing revenues and this, obviously, discounts any new contracts post March 2016.No P&L statement. All good as far as I am concerned and will continue to hold long term.
Have a look here https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/05412723/filing-history 🍉
Ok cheers. Will have a look at the goodwill / intangibles for any clues, if I get the time, although,as you say, still difficult to get a handle on.Often needs a specialist independent valuation to find its true worth.Nice development with John Lewis this morning with hopefully more to come.
marketmover, VS don't release that much detail on their accounts so its an unknown.
Havn`t seen the VS accounts. What carry value on the balance sheet do they have for their IP ?
VS have the contracts in place, they just need to turn them into money now. Remember they've had the contracts with Tesco's, Argos and Maplin which are reflected in the last results and they still only have revenues of £1.35m.
Thought it might be worth going over position since October 2015 when Nick Jenkins invested: 05/10/15 - Nick Jenkins, Dragon & Founder of Moonpig, invests valuing VS at £58m & LEG 7% share @ £4m 19/02/16 - "VS has contracted two clients, both of whom are household names" 24/10/16 - Shelford Group, which comprises ten leading NHS multi-specialty academic healthcare organisations, contracts VS 02/11/16 - VS chosen as platform for NHS Shared Business Services joint venture "an Amazon-like marketplace for the NHS" 03/03/17 - VS wins contract with John Lewis Partnership Our MCAP today stands at £5.6m so, even putting all our other investments at zero, you have to assume that VS has at least doubled over the last 18 months on the back of these significant Contract wins, so the LEG 7% share would then be worth £8m on its own. Therefore we certainly have a valuation of at least 0.35 without allowing for any future potential or other holdings. SP ridiculously cheap at 0.21 imho. GLA
What does our ceo think of the news?
You do the maths I make it 70 million leg mc less than 6 million so X 10 from here simples. That's 2p but I'll be happy with 1p yehaaa.
Beauforts have upped their value of LEG shares from 0.5p to 0.7p Which in turn estimates VS worth £200M to £280M So, without trying to dampen things down we need to keep these numbers in mind and remember our relationship to Beauforts. The 1p Unicorn party (valuing VS at £400,000,000) is quite a way off yet. And we are now back to the old 🍉
Unicorn in the making for this company and we own 7%
Great news silly low sp couldn't resist a top up now back to 30.
Well done mate.Same here.
hopefully there will be a steady rise, people are finally starting to see the multinational applications of this software, beyond the like of helping the NHS save a few quid. ANYone can use this and it's the next big thing!!! happy days! All those naysayers last week and the week before bashing it whilst i was happily eating as many shares as i could afford. thanks to the derampers you made me a few bucks :):):)
Good news for all LTH's Hopefully I can say goodbye to my 🍉 logo And welcome back my old faithful 🍋 Though the big question now is do I hold for the 1p party or top-slice and take some profit? Decisions, decisions. Dummy sale was offering 0.21p ten mins ago now no offers available 🍉
raise the sp nicely for Zafs next salary.
