Feel like the momentum is begining to gather behind us now, may be a few blue days ahead.
just to prove my point about China and the US
Ethiopia has longstanding relations with the U.S., its significant donor, as well as China, the nation’s biggest bilateral lender. But Wang’s visit brings to the fore a stark contrast of how the powers are responding to Ethiopia’s worst crisis in decades.
The U.S. last month suspended duty-free access to its exports after it said Ethiopia wasn’t in compliance with the eligibility requirements of the African Growth and Opportunity Act because of gross human-rights violations. Ethiopia accused its critics of not calling out the rebels over atrocities, and has expelled some diplomats for allegedly interfering in its affairs.
“China stands against any interference in Ethiopia’s domestic affairs,” Wang said in the tweeted remarks.

It looks like the TPLF have virtually retreated to Tigray now and are no longer a threat (so no excuses Harry!)
Abiy will be a hero to most of the Ethiopian people but must be magnanimous in defeat otherwise Tigray will be a continuing thorn in their side. The US have completely screwed up here. They have made little effort to hide their support for the TPLF despite their appalling human rights record. The US see Abiy as a socialist which of course he isn't. And Abiy won't forget the support from the UAE and Turkey and China.
All good for us - let's get this funding sorted and make everyone a lot of money!
they're on the run...
Abiy’s office tweeted that Ethiopian soldiers now controlled the town of Shewa Robit, 220 km (136 miles) northeast of Addis Ababa, and eight other towns and villages. It said Mezezo, Molale, Rasa areas were liberated from TPLF forces.
Getachew Reda, the spokesman for the Tigrayan forces, was not available for comment.
Reuters spoke to a resident in the village of Gragne Amba, 25 km (15 miles) southwest from the town of Lalibela, a UN World Heritage site home to famous rock-hewn churches, who said Tigrayan forces had left her village yesterday.
“I thought they were joking and TPLF fighters said ‘Many of Abiy’s soldiers are coming,'” she told Reuters. “This morning we saw Amhara special forces. They told us they are here for us and they tried to comfort us.”
She said the Amhara forces had left in the direction of Lalibela on Wednesday morning, and residents coming from that direction said the Tigrayan forces had left there too.
Reuters spoke to two people who originally lived in Lalibela and fled the fighting, who said relatives had called and said Tigrayan forces had left the town. The phone network in the town was down, they said, but relatives were able to go to an area near the airport that had a bit of mobile phone reception.
Pressure seems to be on the buying side but price not moving up.
The EG need to secure the areas around Tigray and not get bogged down in hurries warfare in the Tigray home region as they did before. Let the humanitarian convoys in and negotiate peace from a position of strength. Once the local financiers are happy that the gov is secure then the project can move forward, pens hovering over the signature line.

From experience the My Veiws on news is the most reliable of these sources as he has good sources of information from both sides. Looks like a general withdrawal to me of rebels to either their home region or defensible areas on the borders of Tigray.
Think Harry has lucked out doing the presentation tomorrow as he will be able to emphasise the government momentum without getting too bogged down in politics.
Looks like Kefi has lucked out as well for a change this should enable TK launch months more early than otherwise.
I guess value will out eventually here? Double projects NPV in one year is good news as is the satalite targets once TK comes online. Upgrade of Saudi also to come this month. Surely £18m mcap is too low?
We have a multiple account deramper on here so maybe thats a sign things will get moving soon...

New tweet by Abiy suggests some kind of major military victory was saying Gashena was going to be taken.

When the Ethiopian people unite in all fields, the result is victory. In person, in diplomacy, in economics, in communication, in food preparation, in caring for a soldier, in maintaining order, in supporting the displaced. Congratulations on all fronts for your entire campaign!

Chinese foreign minister visit.
https://www.fanabc.com/english/ethiopian-national-army-jointly-with-regional-forces-claims-victory-in-several-fronts/
The Ethiopian National Defense Force jointly with the Amhara Special Force, Amhara Popular Force (Fano) and Militia has taken control of Gashena, Arbit and several other places in Gashena front.
Moreover, In Shewa front, the joint forces of the National Army, Amhara Special Forces, Militia and Fano have captured Mezezo, Molale, Shewarobit towns and surroundings after driving out the forces of the terrorist TPLF Group.
….
Need confirmation especially about Shewarobit but trend seems clear and silence from rebels is telling.
If the rebels have cracked and there main force is cut off could see a quicker end to the conflict. Maybe the Chinese could mediate?
