Mining concession at Lahtojoki is expected to be approved, now the last of the compensation appeals are being finalised. This follows prior approvals by TUKES, the Finnish mining authority. Exploration programme in the Kuhmo region of Finland continues to be highly encouraging with results from basal till sampling suggesting that two of the sample locations may be close to the source of the green diamond the Company discovered.Work continues in Northern Ireland on the nickel, copper and platinum mineralisation anomalies. Post Period: 3 year extension granted for Exploration Permit covering the Riihivaara Kimberlite discovery and adjacent areas.
Lol!! Nice one Focus4
We need to get someone on the inside...If anyone on here is lucky enough to pass as an intern, you know what to do.

Further announcements will be made on Lahtojoki at “the appropriate time”. That is what they said in March 2023 when they informed us of the one boundary outline appeal. They didn’t say “in due course”. Suggests to me that it isn’t “appropriate” to release any news on Lahtojoki until the permit is formally registered. They have land possession granted in 2022, so there is every possibility they could have a few blue and pink diamonds to announce at the appropriate time…Certainly think its not an appropriate time to announce the Lahtojoki JV or backing until permission formally issued.
Half year results due this week
Prof. Said in interviews
It’s taken a long long time but we have found them now 🤔
Delineation, acquisition and development of economic diamond deposits in the Finnish sector of the Karelian Craton
That would suggest already found ??
The Company is a mineral exploration and development company whose primary objectives are the discovery, delineation, acquisition and development of economic diamond deposits in the Finnish sector of the Karelian Craton and exploration for Nickel, Copper and PGEs in Northern Ireland in order to create value for its shareholders

Rush to buy the last remaining 50 shares not held with super glue.
It feels like the company are just waiting for the permit. Highly likely this is holding everything up for KDR. “Then inevitably there will be a rush”!
MEP Henna Virkkunen: "... for the mining industry, 16 of the 30 critically important raw materials listed in Europe can be found on Finnish soil. If mining could be started in even a part of these, it would be a big deal for Europe."
Jappilla. KDR another Northern Ireland?

Cant help think we might get combined news for both on Finland ,You never know what's round the corner
Half year results next week no doubt CON roy will sum up they're looking forward to 2024 with optimism again .Well sorry far from it I'm not in the least bit confident we will even get the mining permit let alone anything else.Im fully expecting absolutely no progress whatsoever here by rhe end of this year on any front and I will be looking at asking a lawyer to have a very long look at this to see if CON roy has a case to answer .
As already mentioned above, Roy Spencer discovered the Grib Diamond Pipe in Russia, located on the same geological belt (Baltic Shield / Karelian Craton) as the Timantti Diamond Field about 450 km from Kuusamo in Finland. Roy lives in London, UK, from where he can get direct flights (seasonal) to Kuusamo or via Helsinki (daily).
Arctic Star also has Terhi Tulenheimo, an experienced geologist who lives in Finland, representing Arctic Star‘s Finnish subsidiary Foriet Oy. As she has been working with Roy for almost 20 years, she is an invaluable asset overseeing all activities locally.
Ever wonder why CGNR (sister company) exhibits at PDAC every year but KDR never does?
KDR doesn't need or want to attract attention i guess.
Terhi Tulenheimo Exploration Geologist - Finland
This lady appears on our webpage with no announcement of joining us???????????

Andrew Murrells Senior Geologist
AGAIN NOTHING Hmmmmmmmmmm
Something happening alright
Burgundy seem to have enough white and yellow diamonds to keep them busy for years, but as the only vertically integrated Diamond company in the world, may be they're looking for pinks (and blues?) to supplement their downstream cutting/polishing business in Perth now Argyle has ended? Would Burgundy now be classed as Tier 1 following the Ekati purchase? Either way, I'm looking forward to an update at Lahtojoki as I think there is a massive upside there.
