Whoever was contracted to do so at whatever price & payment terms were agreed ...... which may or may not be the supplier of the rig in the first place - it doesn't necessarily follow that the manufacturer of the rig is also the installer/maintainer of it ..... tile manufacturers don't necessarily install roofs..... I would hope they would engage with firms qualified to do the job at a fair price to complete the task ...... there are a lot of local businesses, individuals & authorities who will be excited & keen to see this progress....
Back of mind sez it was a scandinavian company who supplied it...
Really just trying to find out who got the refloat & repair jobbie...
..... without being funny I've had experience of companies folding & recovering as well as folding & not recovering .... At the end of the day business is business & whilst not impossible most businesses will work with a recovered business even having been burnt by the first .... of course new relationships & trusts need to be forged but it's be incredibly short sighted (or nose to spite face) for a business to turn it's back on income/revenue it just comes down to appropriate pricing & payment terms as a 'new' relationship....
Indeed OBS ... Whatever debts existed when the company folded are now rolled/wrapped up in the recovery - anyone attempting to make a new claim now would almost certainly fail to get the courts to include it at this late juncture...... Clearly there's been some deterioration of all the assets (as well as stripping/theft in the intervening period) that will need to covered or addressed but without the most bizarre/exceptional circumstances after so many years of opportunity there won't be any historic debt from prior to folding accepted now IMO.
@Bannor: Not concerned,,,, was wondering IF they were helping to re-install it and who they are..
Don't know where the rig was intended to be installed. I don't think they finished installing it before bankruptcy was declared. I can't find the link now, but I'm pretty sure some of the historic debt is related to the cost of the rig. Perhaps part of the $135m for the banks as part of the 70% port rehabilitation as noted here:
"Heads of Terms to Acquire Interest in former Anglo American Iron Ore Mine, Amapá, NE Brazil" ()21 May 2019

In March 2013, before the acquisition was completed the port facility suffered a ground failure which interrupted production and mining subsequently ceased in March 2014. Anglo American completed the sale in November 2013[7]. During 2014, reconstruction work commenced at the port with some iron ore concentrate product being shipped during Dec 2013 and into 2014, via an interim barging solution The Amapá Project borrowed US$135 million senior debt from a banking group led by Intesa São Paulo and rebuilt 70% of the port.

If there was an outstanding debt for it when the company folded it would simply be one of the creditors identified & accommodated within the JRP recovery..... why are you concerned about additional debts not already known/identified suddenly coming out of the woodwork?
Anyone know if the sunken rig was fully paid for and just not installed?
Or is there a big claim waiting for that as well?
@ob: Do you know where the rig was originally attached to in the cove?
or was it attached to the right, where the three small silos are?
Morning @ob: Just looked !! nice and cloud free yesterday..
Just checked my AOI's and on the 28/7 it was over on the left in line with the last train cart (above)
You are correct, it's now more over to the right and more upright.
I should note there is a difference in the images, indicating it is being righted, but I got the impression from your post that it had moved off to the left?
I never got round to registering for that site you mentioned last week @MLQ, though thanks for sharing! There's a great free view of the public and private ports yesterday. Are your images of higher resolution/quality/frequency? Do you know which satellite they come from? Perhaps we can find a free source we can share on here that doesn't require registration?

I can't discern any difference in the location of the jack-up between mid June and yesterday that you mentioned? Do I need to go further back?

Its the Celtic in me makes me spell it that way ... is it A RNs spelt the Celtic way and RNs the correct way?
You've got half the letters right in that spelling. And two fifth's in the correct spelling. ;-)
