KAV are confident the upcoming drilling is going to deliver. Fantastic news.
Yes a very strong looking bottom formed in the chart. A poke above 1p will attract traders.
Gold breaking out to new ATH. What a time for KAV to be releasing golden news to the market. 1p finally on the Ask.
SO much to look forward to here in Q2. I think they will get very good results from the initial drilling at Zim, because they have been hinting at this. If they also then hit copper at Karakubis, then it's off to the moon!
Positioning at sub 1p is the smart play.
Yes, word is getting out that news is due both in the KCB and in Zimbabwe, and that they have no funding shortage to execute those plans. I'd guess it's people taking positions to make sure they're positioned before those news items land.
Firming up nicely now. Should get above 1p soon enough.
Hoping for news on KCB drill targets although RNS wasn't suggesting imminent news. There's also Hillside Zim assays in 4 weeks. The underlying reason for the rise is one buyer building a position & an absence of selling.
Must be some news brewing. Some large buys an 0.89 paid as well.
Should be a really good Q2 for KAV, with drilling results from Hillside and Nara, and commencement of drilling at Karakubis during the quarter as well.
Coming this is great progress !
Everyone wanted regular updates ! This is what we are getting now !
Sorry, JP 2000 not PJ
PJ 2000,
you clearly stated "KSZ targeted nickel" before. And you are still sticking to that line. But KAV's own RNS said the following:
"PRESS RELEASE
28 October 2019
KAVANGO RESOURCES PLC
("Kavango" or "the Company")
the Company's geological model, aimed at discovering a Cu-Co-PGE Norilsk-style magmatic sulphide ore body."
Once you acknowledge that, we can progress. The hype around that pic of core at the time was the shape of things to come. 4 more years of the same!
I am quoting directly from the company documents at the time. I am not the one spinning things.
Petroinvestor - Yes I hear you. Serial professional pumpers you mentioned
Swakopmunder - fair and objective post.
The primary target was Nickel, & to a lesser extend copper & PGMs.
Botswana has multiple exploration licences so if a licence is for diamonds, it doesn't count for metals. We don't know who (if anyone) held the metal exploration licences. De Beers wouldn't get out of bed for trace gold.
I'm not seeing much evidence of ramping on the boards or twitter because as you point out KAV is 3:0 down. KAV is vastly different from 2018 to early 2023. Mike Foster (geologist) put the portfolio & hypotheses together grossly underestimating the geological risks. Yes Turney was the wrong person, too inexperienced to realise he held a poor set of cards.
In 2023/24, KAV has parked the entire Foster portfolio.
In the KCB Dave Catteral, the leading geological expert has focussed attention on two potential mineral systems in between ground held by Rio & Sandfire (operating mine).
In Zimbabwe KAV swapped a chunk of geological risk for country risk with a portfolio largely put together by Steve Smith, another regional expert. The strategy is;
Identifying gold resources > 500koz, Nara estimates are 500-2,600koz
Small scale production which has already begun, positive cashflow to fund exploration.
Large scale bulk mining, probably 3-4 years time.
CEO has moved to Zimbabwe which is really important.
I don't understand how a prospective (ex) investor like Swako can accentuate the negative for several years and then claim he might invest depending on upcoming drill results. Sure a lot of investors would like to hear his buy side case (without ramping of course).

"Facts:
1. KSZ targeted nickel
2. De Beers had a diamond prospecting licence so weren’t interested in gold.
KAV have effectively shelved Ditau.
3. Tight focus on KCB Karakubis, Zim exploration and minor Au production.
52 % shareholder so BT will be held to account.
4. It is malicious when you don’t have a holding and simply trash." /quote
Hello again JP2000 :)
I am unsure why you constantly seek to play men and not balls, but let's revisit those "facts" shall we?
1. "PRESS RELEASE
28 October 2019
KAVANGO RESOURCES PLC
("Kavango" or "the Company")
the Company's geological model, aimed at discovering a Cu-Co-PGE Norilsk-style magmatic sulphide ore body."
So, here you are misleading. KSZ did not target just Ni. The horses mouth added PGEs. The company may have removed the original picture of the pegamatoidal gabbro they were touting as a MR lookalike from the website, but the problem with the internet is it remembers. That pic and the hype around it still exists... 4 years later, none the wiser ;)
2. Maybe you have no direct experience of southern African MinEx. DeBeers did indeed have a diamond licence when it explored Dittau. Why would you say they weren't interested in Au, it doesn't follow? They are linked at the hip (and were then) with Anglo. They employed sensible geologists. Any core they drilled that looked like it could be auriferous would have been referred internally, and AAC or AGA would have been privvy to that. Regardless of whether AAC/AGA had a gold licence or not. I and many others who worked with them or their subs know this all too well. Sorry you do not agree.
3. Here I can agree this may be a good thing. The past can be swept under the carpet and forgotten (shareholders from then, like me, can perhaps excuse their losses. I really do expect better things in Zims and sincerely hope KAV can turn things around. You recently posted sensibly about how much Au they needed to discover to turn things round and I agreee. I am not convinced they will as there's years of profligate spending, wasted opportunities etc.
Perhaps the new majority shareholder will hold to account if this turns into another dud for the minority holders? Fingers crossed!
4. Come now. Not malicious to state facts and question the inordinate amount of ramping, especially when the rampers are down 4-0 project wise... Non-holders like me are non-holders because we sold our holdings at a major loss because we believed the original hype then wised up. I am still around because I see potential, and could climb in, but want to see tangiable results rather than more pump...
Personally, I think we're spending a bit too much time hashing over water under the bridge/exploration dollars down the drain. Hopefully the new project will work out and won't be another waste of funds.
All IMHO, anyway, GLTAH, but really: DYOR
Facts:
KSZ targeted nickel
De Beers had a diamond prospecting licence so weren’t interested in gold.
KAV have effectively shelved Ditau.

It is malicious when you don’t have a holding and simply trash.
PS - that last post of mine was in reply to Overtraders 18 Mar post... rather than Ria's spam...
how do you get that?
he's basically saying the guys at kav/pow/etc. have the appearance of serial pumpers of fairly pants projects and chancers. to all who make some money off that, fine, good luck to you. ethics however...
for all that hype, others suspect it's overpromoted (recall kav and their "pge" in the ksz, or the au in core that debeers (always close to anglogold) "missed!". massive wastes of valuable cash. a decent geo could have found a resource with what they spent!
but of course "next time will be different". at times some of their promoters turned into detractors, then hey presto they are back promoting it and ****ging anyone sensible enough to say "wait a minute, we've been here before (and some have been had)"
it's not malicious to state facts and keep folk on a path with a sense of proportion. there's always lots of the opposite about.
looking forward to seeing what their results from this au drilling in zims are, perhaps it will be worth a punt after all? it's certainly not now, but that's just imho.
dyor and gltah, as ever.
ZIMBABWE FOCUS POINTS

Its equally true there's a hardcore group of 5 accounts (most likely just one or two people) dedicated to spreading rumour & misinformation on KAV. LSE does moderate when prompted.
Fair value is currently 1-1.2p so upside of 50%. That's before the string of value inflection points from news expected over the next 6 months. Inevitably money flows in/out of small stocks driven by news or impending news. Some investors like to buy the news, others will sell into it.
I'm not overly concerned by Ria20 because the stock needs volume & interest.
Petro what you're in effect doing is telling microcap investors/speculators not to make money out of opportunity. Good luck with that!
How is this being pumped? literally 0 volume and no one talking about the company on social media except you.
Fact remains it is income producing with a cornerstone investor who ploughed £7.5m into the company at 1p. A CEO, unlike many others, has relocated to Zimbabwe to be on the ground to do his best to drive this company. Things are looking bright but there is always risks.
ICON = Currently in suspension and after heavy P&D.
ECR = Experienced heavy pumping and dumping before being placed last week. Placing P&D
CMRS = Pumped by the Earl of Pump.
KAV = Pumped by Ria20, a fool.
Always check the post history of anyone who is pumping multiple stocks. These people often disappear after they pump a stock, leaving investors holding the bag.

Petro, a quick look at your recent posting history shows that pretty much all you do here is find stocks that are going up, and post to say it will be a spike.

That's just Friday (8 stocks).
It seems to me that the common thread here is you rather than the fundamentals of those shares. After all, how can you have time to do deep dive research into that many companies in a short time.
Given this is pretty much the only thing you say about any company, if you announce it's all a spike all anyone can conclude is that you chose to comment, and not that there's anything about the company concerned to prove it will be a spike.
Sure, it doesn't prove you wrong. Some of the companies may drop back. This one could. Stopped clocks and broken records.
But it would be a coincidence if you were right, and not because there were any fundamentals to indicate this is a spike.
Now let's get this board back to discussing Nara, Hillside, Leopard, Purebond, the Kalahari Copper Belt, Dave C's credentials, the stamp mills, the maiden resource from the tailings, and so on.
