Bought another £15k worth of shares. Good prospects imo.
Just Group is under valued and perhaps off the radar currently but there were some very encouraging comments about a 200p valuation / takeover price in Investors Chronicle a few months ago. CFO Andy Parsons was quoted as saying “We are open to conversations from interested parties and conversations have happened. All we can do is to focus on ourselves – making our business better will increase the appeal to others.”
Of particular note was the comment: "conversations have happened". One to watch. 200p is where this should be by the end of this year, if not sooner. Check out the NAV. It's 100% above the current share price.
Good luck, Brighty
Currently treading water and paying the price of not giving a trading update ahead of the AGM last week.
I am not sure we can read anything into the lack of an update.
The macro economics look better and should favour a better capital position.....if there have been lower sales of lumpy bulk annuities that may conserve capital.....but there is plenty of time to sign some deals before the HY.....
Looking for decent capital generation/releases at the HY and an improved solvency capital ratio to spur the share price on.
Oh and PHNX is raising about 500m by selling its European businesses.....that cash will need to be spent on something.....
Best fit would be with Rothesay (not listed).
Would also go well with Phoenix (owner of Standard Life), Aviva Lgen....not many more buyers.
Yes, Aviva would appear to be one of the best fits for the JUST business. Maybe Legal and General or Standard Life Aberdeen too? The comments in Investors Chronicle from our CFO Andy Parsons about being "open to conversations from interested parties and conversations have happened". Plus his "making our business better will increase the appeal to others" comment was certainly very intriguing indeed. I do wonder if we will hear more on this soon....? Good luck, Brighty
Thanks for that. Aviva has 200% solvency ratio and this ond appears to be 140% roughly. Can see it being bought out.
Nuri…I expect this will do better than AV this year….but don’t expect a dividend, it’s capital position is much worse but improving……it would be a bite sized UK centric bolt on for Aviva!
I've decided I am investing my £30k in this stock. Looks like a well run company with lots of prospects.
Yes, JUST normally does issue an AGM statement. The 16th March RNS painted a very exciting year ahead for shareholders. Achieving capital self-sufficiency over the last few months was and is the game changer for JUST investors.
With the NAV nearly double the current very under valued share price we are in for a rewarding 2021 and beyond.
Good luck, Brighty
While. Disappointed there was no trading update today, the sp continues to beat its index which bodes well for when markets have up days.
Financial conditions seem to be improving with lower expectations for bankruptcies, rampant house price inflation (makes historic books of equity release mortgages carry lower capital requirements as LOan to value declines).
Set up for more gains…..
Back in January, some of you might recall, there were some very encouraging comments about a 200p valuation / takeover price for Just Group in Investors Chronicle.
CFO Andy Parsons was quoted as saying “We are open to conversations from interested parties and conversations have happened. All we can do is to focus on ourselves – making our business better will increase the appeal to others.”
Here's to an encouraging AGM statement this week. 200p is where this should be by the end of this year, if not sooner.
Good luck, Brighty
Pleasing to close above 110p.
Having bought much higher and lower than here, I am at break even.
Looking forward to getting into profit....hoping for a positive update ahead of the AGM. Credit risks looking better as shown by banking results. Plenty of deals being negotiated for DB derisking. Although Q1 is usually slower than other quarters.
We finished multi year high today at 111. 40p, I wouldn't be surprised 200p come year end the our NAV is shooting up in every trading update!
I admire your optimism. I would like to see the SP in the 120s after the Q1 sales update and reach 150 with the HY results.
This is still about capital and they are nearly at the point of restarting a dividend. I think this will happen with the FY21 results rather than the interims.
While I would like to see 200 on a bid, I will be v happy with 170 this time next year.
The Just Group AGM is on 11th May and normally an RNS is issued at 7am with a business / trading update. It will be an interesting one to read as significant progress has been made by the company according to the last set of results. A 100% increase in our share price to £2 a share in 2021 is my prediction. Good luck, Brighty
The NAV is nearly double the current (very under valued) share price. i.e. A re-rate to £2 per share this year is very likely and I wouldn't discount a takeover approach either. 2021 is certainly hotting up for Just shareholders. Good luck, Brighty
