To provide shareholders with a sustainable dividend, that increases progressively in line with inflation, and to preserve the capital value of its portfolio on a real basis over the long term through the reinvestment of cash flows.

I hold MCT as well rgm , 15% below NAV and yields 4.3%. Funny old game…
Very true. Basically hold these for the income and have no intention to sell so I guess the price is not that relevant. GL2u.
Fregatr - I think the Nav needs to put on a bit of a spurt for the SP to follow suit upwards as the premium is a bit much at the moment. Current diversification helps. GL
Yield of over 6%, move towards electricity, cop26….I’m surprised the share price is not higher?
Ok, I give up. Why would anyone want to buy 7 shares, let alone 1or 2?
Solid rather than spectacular performance, great dividend though. SP has recovered a little over recent weeks, hopefully this will continue going forward.
There are two issues as I see it going forwards ... one is that electricity demand is projected to stay flat over the next few years as efficiencies on energy usage kick in, while spot prices for electricity in UK that I probably should have been aware of, can turn negative in the UK for small periods during periods of high wind suggesting some oversupply albeit temporarily .... so JLEN are wise to invest in battery storage to help smooth out spot price variations.
Trig is away .... this will play catchup soon enough.
Interesting RNS this morning about Cramlington. On the face of it a good purchase, but the lack of detail on price makes me fear smoke and mirrors behind the scenes.
What is not being said is that Cramlington was bought out of administration, having seemingly been struggling to meet its debt financing. One of the main original investors in the Cramlington scheme was John Laing Group, although the bulk of the money came from Bank Loans and the UK Green Investment Bank.
Hopefully all this means that JLEN got a bargain at distressed-sale prices rather than being a deep-pocketed sucker that could be relied on to get big brother off the hook!
Surely energy prices are picking up? According to my quotes from comparethemarket anyway. Anyone got some good reading re energy prices? TY
With a yield over 6%, I doubt it will stay this low for much longer. Just people loosing excess stock that they bought at 104….IMHO
Looking like this will go below 100. So much for the 104 placing. :-((
With the NAV in the low 90’s it not surprising they had to issue at this level but the income is there and probably worth increasing ones holding but I don’t see 118 again for some time. GLA
The institutions obviously .... the writing was on the wall with the low uncrossed trade last night .... 104p oversubscribed .... it will recover .... grabbed a bunch this morning.
Not idiots, they are the same people who get the cheap placed shares, they vastly outnumber the Pi's.
"The new shares will represent approximately 10% of JLEN's issued share capital "
Suggestion, why not cut out the farce of paying dividends while reducing capital by just taking an annual levy from shareholders? The admin saving could be huge and that saving could be used for increased 'bonus?' payments.
The question is, which idiots keep voting to let companies ignore shareholders in placings ?
Wait for the bottom ... just below the price given to mates ... while . I agree ... sickening.
Yearly dividend to rise to 6.8p from 6.76p, wow!
Share price reduced by a placing to mates, from your pocket to theirs.
This has become rife in renewables, static dividends & depreciating capital and set to continue for as long as we go more 'green'.
I agree - a relatively stable SP and an almost guaranteed decent divdend. Perfect for my SIPP. Would have added more except for the NAV
Afternoon all,
Update video from the principles just released: https://youtu.be/2Xi7eTzHRB0
Environmentally friendly and great dividend. Beats paying to lend money to the government. You are bank on adv with your comments. I just sit here and take the dividend. Great pension investment.
There's probably only us elderly dividend seekers here, so not much to talk about. I think the price doesn't move much because the company earns money and pays quarterly dividends, so it's not really a growth stock. Unfortunately I sold out around the crash to rebuild my portfolio from the bargains that were around.- I'm desperate to buy back in but not at this price. Just waiting for a dip. I do wonder if a company like this would attract a bid from Shell or BP in the future as they buy there way into clean energy.
Hi, I just saw the latest video on YouTube, is there a reason why no one talks on here? The dividend seems good but I noticed the share price has been stuck in a small band for the last year except for the crash.
