what were the profit forecasts for: 2017group profit... before todays RNS...?? thanks
Still got that 400p sp target in mind? If so, what year?
The reason for the fall is due to reduced profit guidance and this was overdone by the share being at all time high. I'm surprised that none of the hedge funds shorted this stock while it was at its highest. This company recently changed its ticker code from RGU to IWG.
cant see it dropping below 200p can only see upside from here but good luck im in at 208p
yep, todays low was 204, so waiting for this to go below 2.00 for a punt.
What were the expectations - does seem a ridiculous fall - and loss of mcap!?!
good time to get in here that was certainly an over reaction
The article lists some indicators applied to IWG - presumably in response to today's sharp rise and subsequent fall back. https://flbcnews.com/can-iwg-plc-iwg-l-move-higher/
Thanks jsul. I wish that I had sold this morning, and bought back later when the share price fell away again. I keep saying the same thing about so many of my shares lately, but do little about it when an opportunity arises. However, I remain optimistic that there are better times ahead for IWG. ATB
Must be announcement of $4.4 billion in WE Work announced by Softbank today, see front page of FT.com values we work at $20 billion - lets hope IWG gets that kind of rating one day
I have just noticed a significant rise this morning. Does anyone have an idea what has brought this about?
Share price rising. Will be interesting to see tomorrow if company has stopped buying back shares
Thanks for that reassuring comment jsul. I purchased my holding with the future in mind. The fact that the company may be a future acquisition target adds further interest to my investment. ATB.
Very much a share for the future, there is probably a six month lag between an upturn in sales activity to bottom line income improvement being reported, they are taking a prudent approach to property avoiding London for now which seems sensible, they've got a very efficient operating model, there is competition but they are not operating in a sustainable way and whilst being a price issue in the longer term they may be acquisition targets.
50glass. Thank you for that reassurance. Following the drop in share price last week I quickly read the available data on the company, and took a quick decision expecting a small bounce as is often the case with a company of this quality. I didn't reckon on geopolitical factors at the time, and would have withheld from purchasing had I known. Nevertheless, I think that I have made a good addition to my portfolio and am encouraged that your opinion supports my quick judgement. ATB
It was a bit lonely here so great that others see the merit in this company. I fairly sad in that I read the entirety of company announcements rather than just the headlines. If you got through the latest statement there is clear firm evidence of substantial i creasein profits over the next year or two. I'm happy with progress to date so far this year, believing that it will be matched over the next 13 months.
Not too much company on this BB alas. A bit like OML where I seemed to be the sole poster. I just wanted to add that IWG stock seemed to be resilient in the face of sell offs everywhere, I gather because some PIs were fearing a Nuclear Armageddon. I view my prematurely purchased holding as a long hold and am optimistic about making a good profit in the future. Meanwhile, there is a dividend forthcoming. Good luck all - that is if anyone reads this post.
I purchased 16000+ shares yesterday afternoon at around 309 incl. I should have waited until the end of trading, but these things are often so difficult to judge. On the whole, I am OK about this, having carefully researched all the available data yesterday afternoon. I am anticipating a recovery during the coming months. My sell target is somewhere between 345 and 355, but may well hold for longer as this stock has great potential.
Another positive report, with the dividend increased. SP was up 39% year-to-date yesterday; expect a further uplift in the coming days.
Mark Dixon is subject of full page business interview which is has more non-IWG than IWG content.
.....should lay to rest the idea of Mr Dixon taking the company private. So whilst I stay with my 400p sp target, I suspect that, given the current low level of debt on the balance sheet, that the company will be on the radar of several potential purchasers.
...it is pleasing to see the sp progressively move upwards. My sp target no longer looks like a fantasy.
Good results on the basis that there was a lot of tidying up done, closing centre's dealing with weak markets,. they took advantage of a massive tailwind with currency benefits enabling them to report profits and turnover in line with management expectations, they are now in great shape to move on. The share price has been held back by Dixon selling but this story has a long way to go
Agreed. My sp target was 360p, see previous posts, however today's results have justified an increase to 400p (by mid-2018).
Have held this for some time and can not understand why this share does not get more attention. A very good set of results and likely to keep on getting better. Hope we see the sp start to rise now!
