I agree I don’t see any significant movement until the RNS on Friday and that will test the market. I’m still of the opinion they wouldn’t have taken the step of announcing they were going to issue the results on Friday if a) they didn’t want the sp to slip too much and b) they weren’t happy with the results. I still see this as a hold and possibly a weak buy sub 260 for steady but limited growth with excellent dividends, but as always DYOR.
Agreed, but note these are not MMs. Strong support nonetheless at the 256p level. This 100,000 position has sat there since market open so it is unlikely to be filled. We won't see a price rise while so many small investor trades are listed. These need to be flushed through. We are very safe holding INFI. There won't be a drop but no rise either. Not until Friday's results.
sircliff, Regarding your comment about MMs, I should point out the the current best Buy/Ask prices (258.00 & 259.50) are not MM prices at all. They are small investors selling their holdings. Lots of these auto trades are being processed. The MMs prices are 256.00 & 261.00. Also the MMs are offering small price improvements to brokers. If they didn't do this they wouldn't make any money, as the auto trades of the small investors are cheaper. Yes, that's right. The small investors are selling too cheap! Stupid really!
I like the 100k placed every 2pence on level 2, suggests strong support to stop fast falling, but a rise? No not before Friday
I'm not so sure about that. I have access to a live Level 2 screen and although I'm seeing is strong support at 258p, on the Ask there's a long list of small positions. These are individual IPO investors lining up to sell. Daft really. Maybe they need the money before Xmas. Maybe then they should never have invested. They are merely punters who had hoped for a RMG type price surge. That hasn't happened, so they sell up and move on to the next share. Company results RNS is due this Friday. Also, this company pays a good divi. I don't expect the share price to recover until Friday's results and/or until these small punters are flushed out. Then INFI should reach a level of around 262-269.
I think the MMs are teasing us to sell at a loss, this INFI should rise this afternoon above 260 and continue increasing to Friday for the Results and the Dividend. Any thoughts??
Results are due on Friday, along with announcement of the divi..... Why are so many small investors selling these last few days at sub IPO prices.... It makes no sense whatsoever! I rate this a weak BUY on any price dips.
Though the Miliband speech really put the mokers on the UK . Roll on 2016 and blackouts.
Today's announcement to cancel the next major investment in off shore energy brings the danger of running out of power ever closer. Given the last three government's inability to develop a strategy and some very clever accountants the UK will need any power it can get. INFI looks a nice bet at the moment
To me ppl are selling for nothing during the day everyday then the big buys come after hours, that's why I stayed in here and am not that worried, maybe holdings rns sometime who knows but somebodys buying plenty, dyor gl
Surely this sp is a bargain which has to increase tomorrow and we have profit results on Fri as well. Looking for a nice jump tomorrow.
Almost 1mn pounds worth in one trade. Now that is a very wealthy gambler, or someone who is very confident.
A four putt - eek! But as you say sun in eyes, tricky read, manflu etc. So entirely reasonable and frankly a huge credit to you that you didn't have lots more.
I think you'll start to see the broker views appears in the next couple of weeks
Colleagues: if you know any rating from rating agencies for INFI it will be greatly appreciated.
My expectation now is for the MM’s to move in to slowly drive the share price down to increase the dividend above 7%. It will be interesting to see what resistance there is to not let the sp drop much below the initial IPO price. Never had a 3 putt on Sat but did have 1 four putt, (in my defence the 1st one was from off the green, and it was a tricky borrow and the sun was in my eyes and I wasn't feeling too good and.........)
Wish I'd had no3putts against my 12 year old son at the weekend! Anyhow, you are right re the prospectus. I got to page 3 and died of risk warnings! But looking at some broker research the free cash flow yield at a mkt cap of £800m is around 11.1% and EV/EBITDA is around 8.8x for next year. Gives you some exposure to rising UK power prices as not all output is locked in under long term PPAs and ok balance sheet. UK wind projects are currently selling for around 9x EBITDA so valuation looks ok, not wildly cheap but okay and whilst you are waiting for wind projects to gain consents you get the 7% yield which looks sustainable and growable.
Quite right. The dividend was set out in the prospectus. I think, from memory they have allocated £55m for the divi which equates to a yield of just over 7% on a market cap of £781m. The growth will come from further windfarms achieving planning approval.
The share price should not affect the dividend; it was already set out in the extremely long and tedious prospectus. It would appear most of the institutional players have now decided on their strategy regarding either selling or holding and the majority of movement will now come from PI’s. Imo this is not a share for rapid growth but it will see some, the first indication as to what the markets think will be next Friday. As always, DYOR.
will we have to wait to next time before we get dividend here ?
Do you think the dividend will be as high as 7% now the share price is a bit flat?
They must be concerned about the lack of increase in the share price but they must be pleased with the results. I’m still seeing this as a hold for the slow growth with the added benefit of a 7% divi
What do u think of the RNS that's just released? The results and profits r out next Fri. Happy days.
i sold out at 2.72. was disappointed not to get more, but profit is profit and i have better things to do with the money. insitutions seem to have already expressed reasonably clear view what they think it's worth short term (bearing in mind Pis have relatively few shares in this, not pi sales moving the price) the dividend is very good, and seems well underpinned, so downside from here probably quite limited. a good share to hold still for those happy to be in for income. but little to get excited about growth-wise. good luck to all still holding.
You're dreaming! We can all sit here wishing the SP of all our investments would go up, but do some research and provide some facts. What do you feel the company is doing that would lead to a short term SP rise?
