Makes one wonder about future dividend yields
Oh Dear, are they at it again?
Yep, that, combined with the proposed changes to planning procedures to make it (generally) harder to build new facilities. Tough day today, IMO, with it going XD and the continuation of the impact of yesterday's budget.
True Infinis will be affected by the CCL withdrawal, but that has been known about since before the last election and aren't they also talking about a replacement for later this year? Low Carbon or something. Also very true is that Infinis will benefit from this :-. . . Scotland doubles wind power in June. http://www.tebl.com/NewsDetails.aspx?nid=2217 .(and most of the year in fact). Harvesting the Jet Stream is what I would call it, and we are being affected by the Jet Stream more and more. Scotland know how to do it, our NIMBY government are wasting it. Also extremely true is that the mm's pulled down the price when buys were more than the sells. None of what is being posted accounts for that.
Oh dear.
I think the reason for the strong fall is the removal of the climate change levy exemption for renewable generators announced in yesterday's budget. Drax fell 28% on this news yesterday - their profits adversely affected to the tune of £30 million. Unfortunately Infinis is also likely to suffer.
Certainly a rather rank fishy smell about today's share price "manipulation"...down with this sort of thing! ;-)
Nothing clever about watching the price being hauled down by so much when buys outstripping sells, I would consider it devious, though, to try and pan it off as a legal market procedure.
No need to get clever, with all your posts you obviously have nothing better to do.
Agree with NA100's post but would say it was not even shorters as it was blatantly pulled down by the mm's, not driven down, as the sells were not more than the buys. By 16.27pm the Sells were 250,010 and Buys were 630,108 in 853 trades. There is an address on the London Stock Market website to contact as they have rules to combat matters like these, the evidence is in being.
This SP was driven down massively this afternoon the day before going ex dividend. Once again the markets seem to be manipulating the SP but why today?? Greece's situation is not likely to have an impact. Neither is the budget or China.. Somebodys making money out of this at our expense !!
Whether or not the SP keeps falling tomorrow the mm's will have to answer for their dirty deeds today.
I didnt think the company was that dependant on subsidies that removing it would knock 10% off the value of the company. No doubt it will keep falling tomorrow as it is ex-divi
What was adverse to Infinis that had not already been stated?
How long is long term if you're looking at price movements over a lunch break?
Budget not kind?
yes, I have been watching Infinis and decided to buy a 1000 just before lunch, get the dividend and then hold for the longer time. I paid 194.88p. Came back after lunch and the price had fallen without any reason. Not happy. I was gradually getting into dividend paying stocks for the long term as I reduce my investments in the riskier companies. Seems you can't win whichever way you turn.
missing point .... despite this being the day before ex dividend da
At 1.35pm today, despite this being the day ex dividend day, in a period of just 2 minutes the mm's reduced Infinis share price from 194.25 to 188.75, despite there being more buys than sells in that period. Yet during a subsequent period, 1.41pm to 1.43pm, when there was only buys totaling around 20,000 shares, they kept Infinis shares at the same level. Lets see what the regulators come up with this time. Lets see what the regulators come up with.
Does anyone know what's going on, all these RNS
from bbc news Councillors have refused plans for a wind farm south of Hawick due to concerns over its landscape impact. Infinis UK wanted to put up nine turbines in the Windy Edge project north of Hermitage Castle. The project had attracted more than 300 letters of opposition, along with more than 100 in support of the scheme. Planning officials recommended refusal, saying it would be "incongruous and anachronistic". Councillors voted by six to two to reject the proposals. Supporters of the scheme claimed the turbines would have less of an impact on the landscape than forestry, and that it would help combat climate change. Opponents believed there would be adverse visual impacts on areas like Hermitage Castle and the wider landscape.
huge dividend and future potential.
http://www.edie.net/news/6/Renewables-electricity-surge-sparks-support-for-onshore-wind/ Makes sense to harness the Jet Stream. Surely a sensible government will see this.
MSF shorting on the back of Terra Firma selling. Wouldn't have much faith in either of them as it looks like TF shares are being snapped? But who by?
