Speedy_Gonzalez,
What is it within my posts that draws you to that conclusion?
To the contrary, it is my own fear of losing money that leads me to lash out at the inept BoD for their (likely irreversible) destruction of a portion of my wealth, that I had once thought of as invested in a promising project, with sound long-term prospects.
I hope never to resort to the low-blows of attacking fellow posters on a bulletin board, however...
Blair p. Judging from your posts it seems you enjoy losing money?!
Ad hominem attacks are a reflexive, psychological, response from those in a heightened sense of fear. Quick to lash out at anything or anyone in range, in the hope of alleviating that fear and, ultimately, escaping the thing that makes them so afraid. Pretty odd behaviour on an investment bulletin board, though...
I, like every single other current holder of INFA shares, is nursing a loss.
Every. Single. One.
Something to ponder when considering the performance of the BoD over the last 18 or so months.
FWIW, as a lth of over eight years I was certainly not put out by either Kibuc's post or BP, for that matter. Their posts were more of a factual correction of my initial post than anything else. I certainly didn't see anything worth getting worked up over. Especially the use of ad hominem attacks.
Infighting is never a good look on a bb, just gives the anti's more ammo, imo.
With that said, Im off t' pub for a guiness or three. Have a pleasant evening all.
Kibuc. I also don't have a beef with you but when you say, (you're) "not being impressed with a non-news release", it doesn't impress me that you consider the RNS as non-news! INFA has lost a lot of value over the last year and now news confirming £1.3m incoming.......that is big news here and sorely needed by all dedicated supporters and holders here. Surely you can see you're perception can rub some the wrong way??
Mr T. I with you on this one. It's clear the RNS has removed any doubt that funds will be forthcoming, just like when a boss let's their employee know they're getting a payrise! Perhaps we have more than one tradesman here (like Spud) wanting to be paid in CASH!
Considering your entire post history is confined to making negative comments about INFA, you were right to expect hostility. You're not an investor in this company, or any other, and your sole purpose is to stir up trouble here. Quite rightly, the long term holders here don't appreciate that.
No worries, I'm cool.
Oh, and btw, upon reading the headline I was also under the impression that the money has been repaid. Which made the actual content all the more disappointing.
Apologies @Si_Derman for putting you on a spot like this, I have no beef with you whatsoever, but I certainly wasn't expecting such level of hostility for not being impressed with a non-news release.
Okay my bad, should have corrected my initial post first thing. I posted to quickly on read the headline.
Thought it would be obvious once people actually read it.
And I would hardly call it a celabration, tbh. :)
Cheers all, play nice.
@MrT - I recommend you read my initial post again. My point was that:
a) The money is not yet here, unlike stated by Si_Derman
b) The RNS does not provide any new information, as JW has said many times already that the money will come.
I have no doubt that the money are due, but I don't think this RNS makes anyone any wiser than they were yesterday.
If someone claims that the money "are here", pointing out that they are not is not creating mischief, is correcting misinformation.
"when in fact they are not according to you" is just a plain lie, so shame on you. I never said the money were not coming.
That's some nice backtracking, @whatemess.
Some people, like Si_Derman, were celebrating the money finally being repaid.
I noted that the RNS doesn't state the money is there, only that it's coming.
To which you reacted with abuse.
You can call me all kind of names for stating facts you don't like, but it won't change them. The money may come tomorrow, next week or in 2050, but they are not here yet, contrary to what some posters claimed.
You made a fool of yourself, it happens to everyone, but by refusing to own up to it you're making it much worse.
Kibuc,
Put quite simply if the company has issued a statement confirming thes funds will now be paid, they will be paid, otherwise the RNS is illegally reporting untruths. I doubt whether JW or indeed their brokers would agree to such statements. What advantage is there to INFA by stating the monies are coming when in fact they are not according to you? I cannot comprehend what you are on about. You are clearly making mischief here which is not wanted or needed, therefore please shut up.
Mr T
@whatamess - If you're not tired with my moronic idiocy already, please allow me some leeway due to English not being my mother tongue and explain how you understand these excerpts from the RNS, which I surely must have misunderstood:
InfraStrata plc (...) is pleased to announce that the EU's Innovation and Networks Agency ("INEA") has confirmed that it WILL PAY a sum of €1.3 million towards the total €1.6 million EU Grant reclaim.
(...)
John Wood, CEO of InfraStrata, said: "We are very pleased to have received this formal communication from INEA and LOOK FORWARD to receiving the funds in the NEAR TERM."
Looking forward to your reply, mate!
Considering over £800k of it is due to Costain, plus any accrued interest since December, it's not going to make a huge difference anyway. imo
Extension on the FSRU is up next Friday. News on that would be ... news of sort.
Unless we get an extension on the extension. :)
Speedy_Gonzalez,
I wasn't expecting anything, but others certainly were!
I see kibuc is just as clueless as his mate peach. There were derampers here trying to sow doubt as to the certainty of whether/when the funding will come. Well now they've been shut down by us receiving confirmation it's coming, and the only thing they've got to fall back to is "but they haven't paid it yet!" Yeah and after they do pay it no doubt you'll try to find more ways to be negative about this well-run company.
As I've said before, neither you nor any of your associates who are all in it together are fooling a single one of the long term holders.
Blair peach. Were you expecting SP to bag at this time. We have a notable rise, maybe more to come as news spreads. My glass remains half full, yours yet again, half empty. Are you sure you're invested here?
Ha! Good one!
Am I reading a different RNS than anyone else? No money has been transferred. It's just a confirmation that they will be repaid in the future - which is the same thing that we've all been told last summer. Nothing new here.
Or maybe toilet rolls or hand gel. ;)
Si_Derman,
Indeed to you too; disingenuous at best, at worst...
Can't see any news other than an okay on the ML shifting this, short of a huge order from Bab...
And the way that's been handled, having to do the PC twice, because of some admin error whilst being told, " In order to accommodate further requests to attend and learn more about the Project, we have decided to extend the process."
thackers08,
Indeed, the market is singularly unimpressed by what some were expecting to be transformative news. Let's hope this news doesn't have the same effect as all the other previous "transformative" events...
