This is twice in the last fornight that INCH has bucked the trend and risen when the market is down overall, someting good is happening here, I've been in since Dec, at 30p and I'm confident it's gonna go soon.
by may inchape will hit 40
Finally looks like this is beginning to show consistent improvement.
If am in long though i will be intrested to see what effect the share consolidatio nif it goes through will have with big investors.
Thank you both for your info and opinions let hope it rises upwards until the 13/05/10. Are you people in short or long?
i believe that all eyes are on a possible 10-1 share consolidation on 13-5-10 and that the global car industry is expected to start recovering in the second half of this year. It looks like the big boys are taking more intrest going by the trades over the last 2 weeks. lets hope a steady rise up to the 13 May is in order!
I have only been trading this share a few weeks and quite like it. I noticed it hit 35p in Oct last year, does anyone know if this took spectacular news to achieve or not. Also any opinions on where it is headed next???
made good profit first time. So back in and will be happy with 50% profit short to medium term. GLA DYOR.
Was reading the ES on the way home. They have INCH down as a Buy under their tips section. Come on
A buy rating stating new car sales in march up 27%. further, inchcape shares have performed well recently and positive noises from the society of motor manufacturers and traders bodes well for inchcape
hope they will announce some divedend in may
if it is ppl getting back then thats a good sign
The share price dropped while the bought volumn is about 16.3m shares and the sold volumn is about 9.1m sgares? Does anyone understand why?
comeon. We seem to have found a good level at 30 plus. This is good news
nice day must be a lot of people filling isa's today ,lets hope to sustain the rise tommorow. Still good money to be made imho GLA A1
Hi M8 You should know me, i never spread bet, i only buy / sell shares :). Im waitting the election and see who/what we get, I honestly think we will get a drop, before an go rise. But, thats the hole point of forums, speak, discuss mad ideas :D
FInally a close above the previous day? A good start!
the consolidation will put off new investors - £3 for one share from the outset looks expensive if you are not a big trader and fancy a punt on a few shares. In the happy boom days of June 2006 you would have paid £27.50 a share, but the volume of shares out there was much smaller back then. Despite the consolidation, the volume of shares will remain very high - hence I can't see this being much of a growth share until we have a complete turnaround in the economy - some predicting that we are going to see hard times for another 10 yrs with tax increases and VAT increases, net result - people have less pockey money to splash on prestige cars. INCH will become an income share when they announce a dividend again next year, and a small dividend at that. INCH has served me well but i can't help but think its time to invest elsewhere. Any thoughts? DYOR, GL, lucid.
About 6 weeks. But you'll have 1/10th of your number of shares. 1-10 Consolidation probably happening (subject to Shareholder agreement) after AGM on 13th May 2010.
How long would it take for anyone to see that kind of return?
If this does drop to 25-26p in the next week I will be buying, buying, buying,
Hi All, Well a few weeks ago, you all blahed, when i said i think it will drop to 26p, we shall see, however, i think you are all missing one point, The Election. and V.A.T. Listening to these debates, both main parties skirt around the possible VAT rise in the near future, Goverment cuts, will not rise the funds needed to pay this countries Overdraft off. we will get a TAX or VAT rise, within the next 6 months. That will screw the share prices again.
the sp has been going up through the day only to close lower than the previous day. it is gonna take a huge swing in business and investor confidence to see this rise before the 13 May if most people are on board for this share consolidation?
IMO this will be a very interesting year. We are now coming out of the recession, the Financial Market is opening again and more funds are being made available to individuals on credit. This will have a large effect on the vehicle market worldwide as more people will find it easier to finance vehicles. As Inchcape want to increase the SP by reducing the number of shares in circulation, does it not suggest that the management of the company is confident that 2010 will prove to be VERY successful? 1st Quarter results will be interesting but I think that perhaps 2nd or 3rd Quarter results will show a large boost in profits once the year is fully underway. I would expect the SP to vary between 26p - 32p until 13th May and then rise and rise. Any thoughts?
yes i have now read there annual report and seen that the board proposes a 1-10 share consolidation following a vote at the annual shareholders meeting on the 13 May 2010. Anyone have any thoughts on this pivotal day?
