Im sure there will be, but wouldn't it just be easier if they just said 'yes there WILL be a dividend'. Then we could all be happier and watch the sp climb even higher. O the dream
As announced at the time of the Interim results in July, the Board intends to recommend a final dividend for 2010. Is it a Yes, No or a Maybe. I think its a maybe isnt it
So has the dividend not been 100% confirmed for the end of the year yet? Sorry im confused by the statement still.
i see daily with INCHCAPE on the back, admitted i never noticed before i got into this, but i've held these 4 times now and always had a little profit.

Mr Tiktoc - you were right on 350. I will stick with 370. On a day with so much doom and gllom over cuts etc, its not bad going at all. Comeon
has got to be £3.70,so come on INCH skies the the limit.
350 = done
I think there are many points you have missed, the Prestige car market is still growing in the UK this is Inchcape's core business, I personally work for a Mercedes Dealer and our used and new car sales are going through the roof (not an Inchcape dealer i hasten to add! they don't pay enough!) But we have found that people don't stop buying! they down size! they cut costs but they still need transport! there are not so many used cars around therfore they command good prices but with better margins! VAT will increase in January but again as we saw last year there was a great end of year demand for new luxury cars saving 2.5 percent, thats a decent chunk on a 40K vehicle, incentive enough to buy. The manufacturer i.e. Mercedes have great incentives to drive the sales particularly on new financed cars of which we sell 80 percent of our new cars driving extra profit! but the biggest point you have missed is the fact that Inchcape are a global company, Demand for prestige cars in China for example is huge at the moment, Audi are selling more cars in China right now than they sell in their homeland and they have BMW and Mercedes snapping on their heals. Also Inchcape has reduced its debt to virtually Zero, probably zero by now, and has massive assets other than just its stock of vehicles unlike Pendragon for example. It has amazed me that we have seen so much yo-yoing in the price of this share which has served me excellently as an investment over the last 11 years! so although Inch are a rival, KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT BUSINESS!
this is at its highest level since share dillution days? From where I'm sitting the massive public spending cuts announcements tomorrow will mean less more redundancies, then less consumer spending resulting in less new cars being purchased, less second hand cars being purchased, people cutting back on standard dealer services (at 50k miles etc). Also the last RNS from lacrioux was very cautious and not particularly optomistic! am I missing something here?
Inch are set for more stella numbers. Just hold tight.
Lets leave this yo yo rubbish behind. Comeon
it's almost there, a new target maybe needed, come on INCH>
i have also seen this yo yo between 260 and 320 5/6 times nows. I have kept the same holding through out. It wont drop once - thats the hope - and im going for it being this time. Comeon. Time to make new ground.
Sell out time and buy back at 250-260. See you all when she drops again. Kaching.
Anybody have any idea or opinion if and when they will announce a dividend? Thanks
I meant £3.50!.
INCH up to £.50 for the weekend and then keep going.
To be on a bit of a Bull run! Any ideas where it might end up??
Just did! :) Bought in two tranches when we were floating below 265p. A sound buy IMO, although the motor indisutry isn't out of the woods just yet.
News just in, Broker Panmure Gordon say Buy
