The AIM-traded firm said the test could now be purchased by customers in the UK, the European Union, and a number of other countries which accept the CE mark as the basis of regulatory approval.
It said it had started the process of working with various national reference centres and governmental bodies to ensure a roll-out according to national guidelines.
It said the test detects specific IgM antibodies, indicating recent exposure to the Covid-19 virus and that the immune system had started responding to the virus;
When used in conjunction with its automated SARS-CoV-2 IgG assay, the board said it would help laboratories to differentiate between the IgG and IgM antibody isotypes present in a sample.
Test results would be available within 30 minutes with the test, it added.
“All steps of the test are automated, with no manual reagent preparation required, ensuring minimal hands-on time for lab staff and a high daily throughput,” said the Immunodiagnostic Systems board in its statement.
At 1303 BST, shares in Immunodiagnostic Systems Holdings were up 7.39% at 247p.
compared to gendrive, avacta and novacyte this should be flying really
wonder why or how the market has missed this
The big buys continue to feed through, wonder if we'll see a TR1 in the coming days? MM looks to be trying their hardest to keep the price low and squeeze some shares out of inpatient pi's
we might see a need form the UK government to diversify its supply source. Initiated a long here...
Agree the govt need to buy more of their gold standard test.
27% of shares held by directors... takes skin in the game to a new level
£75m M/cap & £28m cash in bank (almost 40% of market value is reflected in the bank balance)
Company has identified that an acquisition would be a good next step to grow
Tuck a couple of these in the cupboard me thinks!
COVID-19 Testing Range
As announced on 30 June, we released our automated SARS-Cov2-IgG test in countries that accept the CE mark. Interest from our direct and distribution customers has been strong and initial feedback from their validation processes positive. The first sales of this test were made during July. We are hoping to launch a complimentary SARS-Cov2-IgM automated test in the coming months. Furthermore, we are also providing contract manufacturing services to a developer of an ELISA based test, and produced the first prototype batches in June and July.
These products have great potential, though it is too early to estimate the revenue levels which they will generate. We are confident IDS have enough capacity for analyser instruments and assay manufacturing to meet likely demand.

this gets any government , we could be looking at 10 quid surely as theres not many shares about
what is really odd is how Novatit a French company has done so well on the UK stock exchange when hardly anyone in the UK has access to a test!!!!!!!!!!
However -
"Where there is little or no access to molecular testing, rapid serology tests provide a means to quickly triage suspected cases of COVID-19, provided the test is highly specific for the disease. A positive result for IgM in symptomatic patients fulfilling the COVID-19 case definition is strongly suggestive of SARS-CoV-2 infection. This approach is probably most effective in individuals 5–10 days after symptom onset."

Interesting, but the article looks to be a few months back (July) with a view towards the settings where Immunodiagnostic is less appropriate - lack of labs. Be interesting to find out initial sales volumes from the Q1 trading statement due out shortly on the 23rd.
“WHO and the Pan American Health Organization have stated that they do not currently recommend the use of immunodiagnostic tests except in research settings, because of scarce information on test performance and appropriate use when immunity to COVID-19 is not well understood.“

10,000 tests a month equates to 333 a day.
Useful within the hospital context no doubt - especially if your machine is sat there idling doing nothing else. Which it won't be. But the automation side WILL be really useful.
I'm in here, but that figure doesn't get my juices going too much.
Automated assay to detect SARS-CoV-2 antibodies
Immunodiagnostic Systems Holdings plc (IDS), a specialty solution provider to the clinical laboratory diagnostic market, announces a new automated COVID-19 IgG assay (The Test) has achieved CE marking and is expected to be available for sale by the end of this month.
The Test, which arises from the partnership between IDS and Technogenetics, is designed to run on the automated IDS-iSYS analyser. Today IDS and Technogenetics reached a commercial agreement under which IDS shall sell, market and support this Test on a global basis. For territories which do not accept CE marked products, the requisite regulatory approvals will be required.
Test Overview
· Detects specific IgG antibodies indicating past exposure to the COVID-19 virus and immune response;
· Quantitative test determines antibody concentration (titer), not just a 'yes/no' result;
· Highly accurate with a sensitivity of 100%1 and a specificity of 99.4%2, thus meeting the performance criteria specified by MHRA and the Royal College of Pathology, as well as the most common international performance requirements;
· Test results available within 25 minutes.
Unlike many COVID-19 serology assays currently available, this Test is a quantitative assay. It can determine the antibody concentration in patient serum, rather than giving a 'yes/no' result for prior exposure to the virus. Although the clinical level of functional immunity conferred by SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies has not yet been determined, we believe quantitative tests may ultimately be valuable in determining immunity status based on the levels of antibody in the blood.
All steps of the Test are automated with no manual reagent preparation required, ensuring minimal hands-on time for lab staff and a high daily throughput.
IDS-iSYS analysers are already installed in over six hundred laboratories worldwide, including many NHS hospitals. The majority of these analysers are in territories which use the CE mark as the basis for regulatory approval. Each system is capable of running over 10,000 tests per month.
LOL!
Don't understand why this news missed the market. Sounded great to me. Am online for my test ...
People missed this part of the rns.
It says talking to national and governments for rollouts
"The IgM ones are the first that get produced in an immune response, mostly coming from the spleen, but they’re also relatively short-lived, with a half-life of five or six days. So detection of IgM against coronavirus antigens indicates a recent (or still active) infection. The IgG antibodies are more numerous in the end, though, and for many infections (measles, chickenpox, mumps, hepatitis B and more) they indicate that a person is now immune to re-infection."

They're are no free shares here. Its regularly given covid test news and it is selling the tests and has labs.
Could do a novacyte I reckon let's see
There will be investors watching from sidelines, once volume arrives it will move quickly as everyone tries to jump on the bandwagon
