Having said that, the reports of ‘Drones’ has ONLY come from Israel - can we really believe ANYTHING that comes out of that country currently.
Either way we will know by tomorrow IF this is going to become a ALL war in the Middle East with IRAN🤷🤷
WW3 is becoming a real threat at this rate - NOT good!!
Time take a loss and to buy OIL !!!
Oh F£÷×
Joe Biden NEEDS to resign right now, no wars happened under Trump.
We’ve buggered come Monday.
Looks like we'll be back around the £1 mark again if this kicks off - FANTASTIC exactly what we all need.
When all we want is just live a quite life without worrying about cashflow.
Um, looks as though I am wrong. News reports of drone attack on Israel. Never thought that would happen.
It’s rather ironic that as I scroll to read posts British Airways is filling space with beautiful adverts for exotic places. Not sure I want to book an exotic holiday after such a tempestuous couple of days.
Am in at 1.67 a share bought more at different prices rather than invest all at once.
It’s actually the US that is DESPERATE to drag Iran into an all out conflict.
That little tw*t Netanyahu's wouldn’t dare poke them if not for the US.
Having said that I don’t see Iran being stupid enough to have an all out war, so hopefully things will settle.
Iran is concentrating on developing a Newclear weapon and I very VERY much doubt they will fall for the US ploy of being drawn into a all out war.
The Iranians are (contrary to myth) hugely rational and won't fall into Netanyahu's trap, despite his best efforts to provoke a crisis that will help him stay in power and help his cabinet hardliners to get an excuse to take out the Tehran regime.
Again, let's see...
The MidEast crisis will dissipate in the short and immediate term. Iran won't escalate. It won't dare provoke Israel right now. Oil price will subside during the week and IAG take off post-results. Longer-term some limited Iranian retaliation is possible - retaliation which it can "plausibly deny" but which might, nonetheless, provoke Israeli wrath (what wouldn't?).
This is my prediction. Let's see....GLA
Conger2, Aviva and Lloyds owe you some nice divs as went ex-div on Thurs so your losses are really less than the £60k ?
Not sure what impact the earlier Iranian hijack will have for next week's markets. As fas as Straits of Hormuz are concerned, the US and UK can always position military aircraft carriers, naval destroyers in the Straits to protect passing traffic though that may risk escalation. I have Oil and Defence stocks as well as IAG and EZJ so plenty of defensive hedging unless everything tanks which I doubt.
It's just a short term drop this will rise again. i have faith in this reaching £2 mark decided to buy more on the dip.
Will we ever see the pre pandemic highs of £4 plus?
Here’s hoping, definitely a long hold.
I’m down over £9,000 in the past week over my airline and fashion stocks.
Typical, I’ll hold… news from J.Hunt regarding tax cuts and growth just released.
Talk about adding insult to injury 🤣🤣🙈🙈
Whats even worse is I added my WHOLE ISA allowance at the beginning of the week thinking we were finally out of the woods🙈🙈🙈
@retirment-Plan
I feel you pain I am £60k down in 48 hours ouch .... with retirement only 6-18mths away.
I have started some derisking so it could have been worse, but still took big hits on Aviva / IAG / Lloyds my three biggest holdings by some way!
I love it when you post - because it helps me to do exactly the opposite of what you do.
Hitman.
Yes you have him sussed.
In contrast you have retirement plan veing totally upfront and honest.
Sund forgot to say that the huge IAG holding he retained ???? went down 5k, or did it , or didnt it . Who knows
Theres an old saying "no one likes a smart @rse"
Sometimes it's ok to take a loss if you can use the money better elsewhere to make a profit and then buy back into your company for less then you sold.
Do not worry fellow observers if you arent as successful as Sundz here. He has never made a single mistake in his trading and always ends up up on the day. Despite claiming hes buying more in the mid 170s the other day...
We can all hope to be as good as he claims to be...
I loved today, sold a big chunk of IAG and put money into THG..Sold THG at a £300 loss but bought back the same amount of IAG shares at £2000 less. RESULT!!!
Common sense -Israel will be at War with Iran - IAG will drop again -possible £140 - WAIT
Here here, likewise.
was ok up til yesterday.
