Mary.
I’m in complete agreement with you.
Poor old BOD getting a bashing for poor comms. I could not disagree more. The operational updates, detailed presentations, webcasts etc. certainly put most AIM companies and a few main market ones as well to shame.
We all have our view but to me it is simple you can either believe what the BOD say or torment yourself on a daily basis reading some posts which are clearly there to spread fear and despondency. Thank you to the knowledgeable posters on here for their posts.

It’s probably the most frequent complaint about any company, not just HUR.
This week’s understatement:
’HUR PR is quite poor in my view.‘
It is the one thing absolutely ever poster on here Agee’s on.
NAVION OCEANIA due to offload this afternoon, hopefully our resident Rotterdam mole can provide some info confirming size of offload.
How much would it cost HUR to simply update a table on their website shortly after an offload to confirm the barrels of oil and price at which it was sold per barrel... It would cost nothing, just a couple of minutes work for the website administrator. Simple things like that would add to transparency and prevent idle guestimates. HUR PR is quite poor in my view.
Strange sells at the moment dozens of 1332 and dozens of 1267 why?
Good to read the posts from proverloop which are a great relief and change to some of the rubbish on this board. I still hold from five years ago and fully support Dr RT, however at times when the SP weakens as it has done, I do think it would be good to hear something from HUR. Confirmation of the latest offload would be great.
I can only think the company wants to hold their cards close to their chests so that potential predators cannot see the full picture. Hope our French resident appreciates the analogy!
Morning proverloop,
Good advice. That’s the best post on here for quite a while. Agree with you 100%.

Esk : RNS is the only true legal reporting line that anyone should believe.
The boards are good or bad depending on who you believe, but if you've been in a share long enough & keep an eye on the messages you get to know who is full of crap and who isn't, you also get to know what people do for there day job or what they used to do.
Its easy to see why people can lose faith in any share, but nobody knows what anyone's circumstances are.
This was always going to be one for the future ,(in my mind anyway) 2021/22 is when I'm looking at for a major increase in share price (although I didn't see it being lower than 40p never mind <30p ) The EPS should be well proven and all potential problems with FB ironed out, also even the doubters should have gone by then, also there should be more oil being produced. (or was that tankers of water)
I also remember listening to Malcy & his £20 for a fiver speech.lol.
I seem to remember Dr T saying a few years back that Hurricane were quite happy not to be the operator, (if the right partner came in)he gave the impression that they were quite happy being the explorer and leave the day to day running to someone else, which maybe imo once the FB at Lancaster has been proven to flow for the timescales mentioned we may find another farm in partner taking over the day to running of the AM.
Keep the faith, if you've got the stomach for it and ignore the noise.
BobHope1,
"So what happened to biffa and sipp the two resident guru's on here....."
I think 'Biffa' still posts quite regularly...
Longwait,
"As it is, looking at the latest figures, there are 12 'after hours' trades, all of which are buys, including one for 144k and one for 770k shares. Obviously, not everyone has 'water on the brain.'"
Yes, but not a reason for me to throw my hat in the air with joy.
Who has the clout (or disposable cash) to make such 'buys', and instuct a broker to accumulate such a number of shares over the day and only report it out of hours once the order has been filled? It isn't the Daily Mirror reader on the Clapham bus wanting a 'punt' at an O&G share to make a change from the horses.
Could be a trader, and we'll see the same share being sold next Monday (or tomorrow) at a 1% markup.
I still remember Malcy about two years ago, when the SP was in the mid-thirties (I think) saying this was like buying twenty -pound notes for a fiver. The man's gone awfully quiet on the subject of late.
I agree with those who reckon it's going to be a slow haul back up before we see the SP at a sensible valuation once again.
Good posts guys and I lean with you ADUK. However, as you mention for a newbie investing here any sort of TA will rule this out and reading drivel on LF will do the same.
I am in for the RNS' and as such, I believe anyone who invested here in the first instance should be.
I got that information from this page, Double - the 'recent share trades.'
I remember someone else commenting on it at the time.
As it is, looking at the latest figures, there are 12 'after hours' trades, all of which are buys, including one for 144k and one for 770k shares.
Obviously, not everyone has 'water on the brain.'
Longwait,
"There were masses of small shareholdings showing as sells, day after day."
I don't know where you get that information from (small sell =small shareholding), but it may well be true, and I feel it's understandable.
Certain AIM stocks have plummeted of late, and for very good and solid reasons., not rumours. Just two examples: SXX and TLW. And those are just the kind of shares which 'Hurricane Holders' might also have held: one just has to look at some BB statistics to confirm that.
The holiday season is over. Bills have to be paid, the kids are back at school, maybe floods have hit, maybe some of those PI's are over-leveraged to start with. The missus might be badgering the ol' man to grab some cash back, and certainly NOT to reinvest it in some maverick oil company again! :-(((
I feel sure that such scenarios aren't completely imaginary, and may play a bigger part than one might believe in the current SP 'rout'. But things will stabilise at some point (imho), and common sense begin to kick in once more, maybe with a new breed of investor.
Patience.

Longwait,
We were writing at the same time again, it seems, with similar thoughts. Probably just voices crying in the wilderness, but who cares? I'm personally not trying to 'influence' anyone. They can buy or sell to their hearts' content: it's their money, and none of my business.
All I know is that I'm invested in a company doing some interesting stuff (which interests me technically), and also with a positive cashflow. Which is OK for me.
eskibeatbeater,
"How much lower can this go before people lose faith.?"
That's an interesting question! Which begs a further question. Faith in what?
I can completely understand that for a newbie looking at the SP graph of the last nine months or so, buying into HUR must seem like a wild gamble. Personally I'm just holding, and not at all spooked by the wibblies popping up from dark corners on this BB and elsewhere, prophesying doom and generally trying to scare people. 'Cos I know that the highwayman pistol they're brandishing is only loaded with blanks, if anything at all. Maybe just a flag which pokes out of the barrel with a flag which unfurls, saying 'bang'.
Or 'faith' in what the company is doing? That's something else, completely. Another tankerload of oil heading for Rotterdam from WoS, the product of just TWO WELLS ? And people are trying to claim there's something 'wrong'? Go tell it to the Marines. They'll laugh in your face.
'How much lower can this go before people lose faith.'
People have already lost faith, having been taken in by DSPP's mumbo-jumbo about water cuts.
There were masses of small shareholdings showing as sells, day after day.
That is what LTHs have to contend with - unrelenting rumors that there is something fundamentally wrong with the company and that the share price correction could wipe them out.
EOG has lost 60 percent of its value in four or five trading days, mainly because a major announcing it won't be farming in, but I did a rough calculation and it's on a very low prospective P/E ratio based on expected production figures.
Just about every company here is trashed on the slightest disappointing news or just rumours.
Recovery just to be back where it was in Sept time.
Can you honestly see that happening now?
How much lower can this go before people lose faith. Baffled as based on RNS' we know everything is Okey dokey but its aim and therefore, what do we really know.
