After waiting this long you think there would be more information on payout dates. Very least a statement sent out of Time line is to be fully wrapped up in 15 days from the 2nd Sept this runs out on Sat, No info on who to contact if it does not arrive bunch of tools! Creaming off every penny of interest no doubt! Mini rant over cant wait for it to be done with
I've just rang the share guys. Money and new share certificates will be issued on Friday. Money probably as a cheque not direct to bank account.
Day after day. No news about when I get my money and my new shares.
Very little news around on this hope it ties up in a day or two ok. Anyone have updates
Sorry wrong board
Glad to see some news and the share price respond positively - Hadron capital has confirmed its position of 4.07% whilst FIL position has technically reduced from 5.13% to 4.08% due to the increase in number of shares - still expecting more news to follow as another week in August slips buy!
You are very welcome. At least they seem to be sticking to timetable. One special div already paid I think?

cheers Bruce, got vote forms today. Just can't wait for it to be done with! I see sainsburys is abandoning Netto to focus on the home retail group take over. Which I thought was a positive. Thanks once again Lee
we were told from the start it would complete in Q3 which means by end of September. You do not get interest on a div which takes some time to pay!
This seems to be taking an age to sort out. & will the special Div be earning us any interest? I think not but someone somewhere will be creaming it off. Any updates would be appreciated
Rang the Registrars yesterday for timetable as nothing on web site. Very dim girl who kept going away. No no yet abailable. I then asked for ex div date for special div re Home Base sale. She said that there was no final div. I pointed out I had specifically said special div. Such people should not be allowed loose on the public.
Further, if deal completes in Q3 cannot be more than 6 months away as we are today in Q2! From today's FT offer is 55p per share cash + 0.321 Sainsbury share per share together worth 143.7. In addition 25p per share div re Westfarmers t/o of Homebase. Total value 171.5p per shares What's not to like?
Yes you are wrong. The shares will not be suspended pending the take over. They will be traded "Unassented" unless you have accepted the offer in writing and sent it in. As for the dividends shall we wait and see what the offer document says?
So it looks like the board recommend accepting the offer. Deal completing in Q3 which could be anything up to 9 months away. A bit of a while to hold onto stock which won't be tradeable while Sainsburys take the profit from Argos and don't pay any additional monies but retain their money before handing it over. I'm sure I must have read this wrong but that's what I think it means. I am not encouraged to vote to accept the offer. Will they pay the dividends earlier? Who knows! Please someone tell me I'm wrong.

Anyone have an idea of the time lines for the sale if it goes through?
Should be Improving this am with sbr major gainer on Ftse 1.6% up!
Yes but it is not a done deal yet so take care. Gl
Ok thanks for that, one other question is if the share price opens at £1.63 on Monday and I buy some will I receive 10p extra per share as the JS offer is around £1.73 per share. Thanks.
As far as I know last ex div was 28 Feb for normal interim of 1p. To be certain check with your broker or the registrar re if it is still cum the special div.
Does anyone know if I buy some shares on Monday will I be eligible for the special divi from the Homebase sale?
The present sp is some 10p less than the Sbry bid. I think it worth hanging on as sbr shares a strong currently and with th take over there are nice divs to come plus cash and shares and no commission to pay.
Think walmart got lost at the airport. Sainsburys for the taking.
