Well they've already announced through an RNS and base the Viceroy research as false and will release its own report. Seems just another target for a short without doing proper research through company output. IMO drop is not credible. Hope the shorters have their fingers burnt.

See link above to Viceroy research report- I guess this is what has caused the fall in SP. Will be interesting to read Home's response to this.

The report was published without any engagement with the Company's Board, Investment Advisor, or wider advisory team. It is the Board's belief that the report is inaccurate and misleading in its comments about the Company, being based on mistaken assumptions, misinformed comments, and disputable allegations.
Someone wanted a cheap entry maybe?
But drop is overdone and bounce is on the way now.
Civitas went through all this shorting business about 6 months ago....
it seems like drop is overdone and bounce has started.
According to HomeReit's website at 11.46am today they said they'll be responding to a report issued by a Delaware based shorting company. So the SP has fallen due to the shorter's report- I've not seen what's in it but this is clearly the reason for the fall in SP.

Enjoy 10% divi :)
Response from the company urgently needed.
Bought. Looks way overdone

Anyone know of the reason for todays big drop? I see in the news about the boy that died in social housing was it one of the HOME properties?
One big worry is the inability to keep pace with inflation on the annual reviews CPI linked with 4% increase cap. Inflation is over 10% the dividends are being eroded in value by this. You've got gilts at 4.5% so there is risk repricing going on right now on the whole sector aswell. 100% occupancy and low fixed rate debt 2.3% into the next decade gives it some strong positives however. I've started to PCA into this stock. Small holding will make larger on any weakness
Given the business model of this share I'm not sure how justified this drop in share price is.
Any thoughts on what's driving this and how low it will go. I'm looking to add more at these levels but don't want to jump to soon if there's more drops to follow
Yes, could well do - especially as CSH is still in the dog house (with jury still out) and SOHO not performing much better.
Just been advised that the Responsible Housing REIT IPO has been cancelled. Might bring some investors in here given that it is now below the last placing price
Shareholders have been offered the chance to buy additional shares at 1.09 (closing price today 1.13) . I wondered what the view was on taking up the offer ? I am holding off for a few days to see how the share price moves .
More acquisitions!
'Each of the Properties is immediately income producing and the blended net initial yield of the Company's portfolio following the acquisition of the Properties is ahead of expectations.'
9% up in a couple of months and a nice dividend to come. Excellent investment...
Nice to see a nice gradual rise from the opening 100p and a dividend to come too....
More properties. This BoD doesn't hang around!
Looking forward to hearing more about the 'significant pipeline of assets'
Indeed, and today is just the start
"The Company is in advanced legals on a significant pipeline of assets to allow for an efficient deployment of its IPO capital, with further acquisition announcements expected to be made in short order."
Well, the company isn't hanging around in starting to build its property portfolio...
Can anyone (who is still here) please tell me how to compute gain or loss from the takeover? What is the disposal price? Is it cash plus the value of Sainsbury shares received on 6 September 2016 (or some other date)? Thanks very much in advance!
So I've received a scaled back amount of shares so need the equivalent paid in cash....no communication having to chase my brokers who say that the cash will be added to special div payment but have no idea when. Not happy!
