whatever you have been smoking, I want some

are r saying we're (i.e. HALO shareholders) gonna get some value from schooner ?
https://itportal.nstauthority.co.uk/information/licence_reports/databycompanyandblock.html
more like the twilight zone

commonsense says Schooner can be redeveloped as part of the CCS scheme - doesn't mean we shall derive any value from it though.

The fields in the area left around 40 MMSCFD stranded gas. Schooner recovery is low, so upside there. Restart production with new infrastructure, appraise the Bunter whilst redeveloping. Makes sense, but would BP & Equinor want to work with AC given the way he has treated us ?
anto
I hope you are right, but AC has lost us more money than this (schooner production licence) is worth.
Just to be clear, we have not been awarded any CCS licence, BP and Equinor have
https://www.energyvoice.com/renewables-energy-transition/ccs/uk-ccs/410933/nsta-award-bp-and-equinor-carbon-storage-licenses/

also bear in mind, BP & Equinor can just wait for the schooner production licence to expire then take it FOC
but, again I hope you are right

Schooner and Boulton stranded gas are the key - lots of permutations on how this enables the CCUS projects.....including hydrogen generation/storage (windfarms nearby etc....)
Just have to wait and see
AC has cost us a lot more than what Schooner might bring in, so hard to get excited....
Can anyone find me Jonathan Henry's new contact details
Not the sort of people image conscious Mr Looney would do business with imho
- especially if he knew all the details
anto
"and Hague London Oil is now gone from the map"
as I said, can't get excited

I think the jubilee celebrations are getting to you (and why not !!)
God Save the Queen !

excellent find. The three things that stick out are
1/ No mention of HALO holding production licence
2/Brine disposal into depleted gas fields mentioned
3/ Timing of report - six months before administration
Any redevelopment of Schooner throws a big banner in the works....so your theory that the Schooner production licence has been effectively sold to NE is plausible.
So how much is this worth to the NE £5,10,25/50/75/100 M
WS
anto
sure. But in light of the document, particularly the piece about DNO's wells, the gas potential is negligible and a distraction to this strategic project. Sure they'll maybe drill the carboniferous (deeper than Bunter Triassic) to see what's there and be a potential brine dumper if depleted. If what you are implying is correct then AC would be wanting market value compensation for the lost gas.
Just have to wait and see.
W$
That's for sure Ghost
anto
the decommissioning program proves nothing. Repsol currently decommissioning Buchan and JoG planning new wells.
The document your shared highlights the inherent risk to CO2 CCS in saline aquifers - i.e. how much can they take, given they are normally pressured and there is absolutely no production history in area that can be used to estimate the aquifer storativity.
The Schooner gas potential is actually very good insurance - water dumping into or gas production (or both). This all adds value to Schooner.........

stop it. If AC were doing his job properly we would not be in administration but coining it in

OLD FOOTBALL ADAGE we we’re robbed…….quite literally Cochran is either the dumbest person on planet to offload Tullow assets and go into admin or an out an out thief by now we’d be sitting pretty
anto
don't disagree, likely to be a major hub. Just announced licensing round has acreage to the North, looks like Cygnus area and the production acreage Neptune gave back.

W-I-still-think-AC-is-uninvestable-regardless-of-what-happens-$
Anto - can you explain to me why you think that the PIs have even a remote chance of seeing their investment back ? In your mind how do you see a successful conclusion for the PIs playing out ?
What are the steps that you can imagine happening where Cochran is involved, acting in the best interests of the PIs and where we have any rights to any aspect of a CCS deal taking place, if in fact one still exists ?
