"Gallium and germanium have jumped 20% to 30% since the restrictions, and it’s likely graphite prices could increase by a similar amount, said Steve Man, an analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence"
The potential of GROC portfolio looks much better with the news from China and the decoupling currently taking place globally.
European car production will not want to be at the mercy of China, who will favour their own market.

GreenRoc is focused on fast-tracking the development of Amitsoq into a producing mine in the shortest possible timeframe to meet critical demand from Electric Vehicle ('EV') manufacturers in Europe and North America for new, high grade and conflict-free sources of graphite.
Scroll down and one has a good summary of the key points about Amitsoq:

A great artical, many thanks for that. It’s good to see processing companies looking to locate in Europe, pushing the ‘Green’ credentials. Synthetic G needs to be banned because of the terrible affect on the environment. If this happens over the next 18 months watch this SP fly

MM didn't mention Buy out-a take off agreement (including up front investment/payment) after the PEA would be my best hope ATM and Stefan already having conversations
FuLmar
if they really want to get things going prob best to pair up with a bigger established co.... dont know if a buy out is wise without producing anything? you guys n gals know how the commerical side works on hese deals
come on GROC
Very much looking forward to see the figures on capex/opex and price of graphite they use in the PEA. Building and operating a mine is notoriously expensive in Greenland. I only keep adding as the high capex/opex will hopefully be offset by our extremely high grade deposit.
If its economical, i have no doubt this will be built one way or another. The West needs graphite and Amistoq is at the doorstep of Europe and U.S.
It all looks good for GROC going forward with demand and price set to increase with Chinas export decision, I think GROC is still flying under the radar a bit but that will change.

Good to see the RNS noting the urgent need for graphite alternatives to China - now we need an urgent ramping up of graphite exploration in Greenland via Greenroc - a perfect time for a big partnership investment.
Comment to all and Cleverthoughts.
There's always a point to an RNS, this one obviously is to just advertise the company more with response to the latest chinese news.
I also believe that the costs for RNS's are an annual charge, so if its 1 or 100 announcements, the cost is the same (I understand).
Anyway it is something now recorded do if a potential investor looks up Greenroc in the future and reads this, it may just encourage them to buy in and therefore the SP may rise further, as in so far today.
So in my opinion every RNS has a point, if only for a recorded update on company progress, preferably positive as in this case.
GLA DYOR etc
Strange RNS but having advertised the PEA next week, he was look a bit soppy if it wasn't a good one !
This could be Fast Tracked now. ATB
This final paragraph says it all really.........looking forward to the PEA next week......."The publication of GreenRoc's Amitsoq project's preliminary economic assessment (PEA) next week represents an important milestone in the development of Amitsoq and, in the context of China's export restrictions, could not be timelier. It also underscores GreenRoc's unwavering commitment to supporting the advance of sustainable, low-emission technology on a global scale."
Pointless rns and unnecessary expense.
Stefan Bernstein, GreenRoc's CEO, commented: "China's decision to impose export restrictions on graphite underscores the critical need to establish secure supply chains by boosting domestic, non-Chinese production capability, which is less vulnerable to market shocks and geopolitical events.
"The targeted nature of these export restrictions, focused only on battery-grade graphite while excluding conventional low-purity graphite material, should be of concern to everyone engaged in the energy transition. This selective targeting creates a substantial risk that ongoing actions to replace internal combustion engine vehicles with EVs will be slower and more expensive given that today no EVs can be manufactured without relying on battery grade graphite from China. Moreover, this move by China will bolster the competitive advantage of Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers.
"In response, the rest of the world, including Europe and North America, must accelerate the development of their own upstream industries in the critical mineral space. This is not merely an option but a necessity in order to establish robust supply chains and release OEMs from undue reliance on China. Such a step would be pivotal in securing the swift transition to low CO2 emission technologies.
"This development is a timely reminder that our plans at GreenRoc to bring our world-class graphite deposit at Amitsoq in South Greenland into production in the space of a few years, alongside the development of a processing plant to produce anode-ready material for EV battery manufacturers, mean that we are ideally positioned to play a critical role in Europe and North America's energy transition.

thats right with the chinese export ban and greenland part of denmark (eu) and the need to try and use local materials lets see where this goes. dont tend to buy big amounts (unless with KOD got at .26) but enough should the share really go somewhere
Hi MM
I’m buying hard when I have a good day. I’m excited about Groc, I look at other graphite shares of 3% 6% etc and although they appear to have big deposits it’s very low grade compared to the Groc mother load. I just hope the Pea is positive news and proves that Amitsoc is a very viable find. As each week goes by I see the need more and more to have this deposit on Europes and the US doorstep so to speak.

all buying for tomorrow arent we - commencial deals.... buy outs... offtake etc
just wish these shares would not race up without doing much and then could get a lot more. also more risky
come on GROC
Have to wait to see what this means in practice. I think they'll issue permits to everyone and continue exports but will hold the withdrawal/exports over heads of importers - warning if you sanction/try to hurt us we'll push back. Its what happened to Japan a decade ago when China banned rare earth exports to the nation.
